Absolutely amazing staff, very friendly and welcoming! Dr. Feldman, Dr. Wagner and Josh Rodgers PA-C are all absolutely great providers. They will take the time to listen, but also consider everyone's time, therefore trying to get you in and out. Like any medical office though, they will get backed up, so be patient. If you have an emergency, go to the ER! Good location. Not hard to find parking and a beautifully clean facility. All the exam rooms are so unique with the different murals. The large fish tank in the waiting room is great for the kids while waiting. Love it! I would highly recommend PRIMA Pediatric! read more

This is one of the worst doctor's I have ever experienced. First visit and my children and I were interrogated from the time we walked in until the time we left. To ask a guardian their date of birth to try and calculate what age you had the child's parent and announce it allowed to the grandchildren--what was the point in that? I'm here to get my children a physical/checkup/first visit... why am I being asked "who is the bread winner in your house" what in the world does that have anything to do with my child's checkup? To then start asking questions that could be triggering to the children, as to where is the bio mother, is she dead? What if she was, what if it took me to that point to get them in a good place to stop thinking about it?! And here you are asking a question like that, without warning or care, that has nothing to do with this check-up? I've never met a doctor, at her age, that clearly has no empathy, compassion, wherewithal, or bedside manners. The doctor states "you all look very healthy, clean, you both have good manners, and look very nourished" to then leave her intern in the room to begin to ask my grandchildren mental health questions, without consenting with the parent/guardian first. California states that a minor must be 12 years of age or older; and mature enough to participate "intelligently" in mental health therapy services; so why is at (8 & 10 yr old) a pediatrician feels it's their right to ask questions like that without warning a parent of the type of questions they will be asking and if they feel it's okay, mind you we are not at a therapist office but a pediatric check-up. I did not mention to the doctor that I had any mental health concerns with either of them: are there times you feel hungry, dirty, unwashed clothes, not enough food? Do you feel tired (don't we all at times)? I can understand there's mental health and some questions need to be asked, but to just blurt 30 questions out with no preparation, to the kids to understand what is about to be asked, and the context, these kids have no clue what and why you're asking these type of questions. It's beyond me. The doctors last statement, was that they looked very healthy, manner-able, and very nourished?! Why are you asking a 8 year old directly after school if he feels like he doesn't get enough food or hungry( of course he's hungry he hasn't had his after school snack) but his answer was "no", or unwashed clothes?! Okay, say a parent goes along with these questions, when all of a sudden both children were asked: Do you feel like you want to KILL yourself? Does someone in your house tell you you're not good enough? Is there a someone in your house that kicks you and pushes you down? My grandchildren left that appointment so confused and wondered did they leave a doctor's office or therapy. My eight year old looked at me and said "our life just started, why would we want it to end" the fact that the pediatrician office, without permission, asks these types of questions and puts these types of thoughts in a child's head-- "do you want to kill yourself" now your leaving them with, "how do you kill your self" these kids that had no idea or thoughts about a question like that, until they entered that office, saddens me. I felt terrible that I didn't just walk them out of that office immediately. I'm just appalled with this pediatric office and the fact that this doctor, Dr. Feldman, feels that it's any of her business, to interrogate a parent on their salary, and had the nerve to look me eye to eye and ask, I do have a couple more questions.. "do you work outside of the home? who's the bread winner in your house" I'm sorry, is this really a conversation that a child needs to know during a child's doctor visit of who's the bread winner in their home? Why do you even need to know anything personal about the parent/guardian that's outside of health?? It's none of your business or concern! And the audacity to ask, straight-faced, if their bio-mother is dead. Never again. I would suggest you second guess this office, unless you want your children talking about the pediatric visit, hours after it ended as to why, why, why-- or even saddened by triggering questions that are blurted out without care or thought for a missing parent. No professionalism. read more

Perhaps well-meaning, but you know what they say about "good intentions". We saw them in 2014, namely for our third child, Joshua. One of the doctors we were seeing refused to listen to my wife's insistence that Joshua, then only 6 weeks old, had pyloric stenosis. We had to change doctors in order to get the care we needed. It was confirmed one week later under the NEW medical facility that Joshua had pyloric stenosis and went into immediate emergency surgery. We were told that if we waited just one or two weeks more, Joshua would be dead. We also saw Rochelle Feldman, one of the doctors at Prima Pediatrics. She also refused to listen to us with our second child, Elijah, when we wanted to skip just one of the several immunizations. She called me "stupid" and "an idiot". It was later confirmed under our NEW doctors' care that that specific immunization would have been potentially detrimental to our child because he was pre-mature--which was our concern. So our experience at Prima Pediatrics was awful. Arrogant. Do not listen nor adapt from the textbook or WebMD or wherever they get their treatment plans when a unique case, like a premature baby with chemical imbalances, needs to be treated. If you are the classic situation where your child needs nothing more than to be rubber-stamped and have their boxes checked off, Prima Pediatrics will not kill your child. But if anything needs to be detected out of the ordinary, your child very well be dead if you keep them under the care of Prima Pediatrics. Out child was almost killed by Prima Pediatrics' ignorance and apparent arrogance. Our advice: GO ELSEWHERE, even if you have to drive. read more

AMY WAGNER has noooo Compassion!!!! I had a super unpleasant experience yesterday with my 4 year old autistic daughter. She received the MMRV vaccine and they administered it on her thigh. I did not receive instructions for aftercare for this vaccines that is one of the most painful ones I honestly didn't know since nurse didn't explain at all side effects or what can happen. after a few hours my daughter started limping one hour later she was crying in excruciating pain she couldn't even step her foot down and she would fall to ground. I started researching read online every website says it's administered on arms CDC website also states that. I had called Prima Pediatrics just before it closed and was told to just give Motrin. But as little time went by I have tried everything I can to help her with her pain I decided to call back but it was after hours a man that takes downs notes wrote down everything I told him and he told me dr will call in 30 minutes or less. So I received phone call from dr Wagner she was the WORSTTT!!!! she says you called? I'm like Um yes I did and she tells me what are you concerned about I told her did the genteleman pass you down the notes she's like yea he did but what are you concerned about with a nasty attitude, I told her what do you mean what I'm concerned about?!!! It's the limping! Her response: I don't know why you're concerned it may be that she is sore and that's why she's limping I felt offended because she was showing no compassion whatsoever as a pediatrician every question I would ask she answer and with so much attitude I wish it was recorded so everyone can hear that conversation. I mentioned why didn't they give on her arm she said because 4 years old don't have enough muscle so I told her why didn't you guys tell me hey mom your daughter doesn't have enough muscle what do you prefer to do you can wait until she's 6 so she can get on her arm or inject her now on thigh but it's painful! Of course I would of said WAITTTTT!! Her response well what do you want me to do about it!!!! I let her know she needs to retake her oath again to see why she became a pediatrician and needs to learn how to calm down and comfort a parent with special needs child. I told her what if my daughter continues to limp she like well bring her tomorrow and I told her what are you guys going to do her response examen her... I'm like okay examen her with what? What's the process? And then after asking all those questions she was giving more and more attitude with answering those questions I gave her. She told me what are you concerned about the vaccine what do you think it did to her. I'm like idk I'm not a pediatrician YOU ARE! you tell me what can go wrong who knows nerve damage maybe idk but it's super concerning she's like there's nooooo wayyyyy that can happen. I didn't feel like arguing with a non compassionate pediatrician and I hung up. I don't know what kind of pediatrician talks to a parent of special needs like that it's there job as "professionals" to educate the parent the most they can about everything. I told her her this conversation would have not gotten so far if you would of simply talk to me in a nice calming way. Example I understand your concerns mom your daughter will be absolutely fine possibly because she's sore it may be causing her to limp if it continues to happen please bring her tomorrow we would be more then happy to check out her injection site this would be the process and possible solutions. That sounds much better. I came to this clinic because their specialty is with special needs and compassionate with them and their families but this just demonstrated AMY WAGNER is not compassionate at all and needs to go retake her oath!! read more

I write this as I'm sitting in one of the rooms waiting to see our doctor. I've been bringing my son here for a year and every time we schedule an appointment, it takes at least an hour to actually see the doctor. Why schedule someone when they won't see you until an hour later?! (Update: we've been here since 9am-it is now 10:20am-no doc). The only upside to Prima Pediatrics is that the doctors are great, very knowledgable...but our last visit we had a completely new doctor without any notice. Since we moved out of Canyon Country we are going to change pediatricians-the long drive and wait has worn on my patience. read more

All of my experiences here were pretty awful, but this was the final straw: I brought my infant child in for labored breathing thinking he may have croup and several different doctors listened to his lungs but I was sent home and told to give him some breathing treatments & to put on a humidifier. Well he ended up in the E.R. just a day & a half later with Pneumonia! We have new insurance now & I'm so glad that we don't have to go back here! read more

I am currently trying to find a primary care doctor for my daughter. We moved recently and had to switch doctors. This need was heightened when a medical issue came up with my daughter that I felt required a doctors visit. I called Prima Pediatrics and got an appointment rather rapidly, which was nice. We arrived a minute late and were called in right away. The staff are pleasant and helpful. We saw a PA and he asked a lot of questions and was very thorough. (Please note, we never saw Dr. Feldman, so this review is not about her in any way.) We checked out and got our RX sent to our pharmacy, or so we thought. All in all the office staff and PA did a nice job and treated us well. I couldn't get my daughter's RX for three days. Thankfully it wasn't an infection that required antibiotics! Three days later the pharmacist took pity on me and called the Prima Pediatrics and got it sorted out. I wanted to like this place, but I have lost confidence. Nice is good, effective is better. If you want to give this place a shot, do so, but a tip - take a copy of the written RX with you. read more

I called today to make my two kiddos physical to hear the bad news , no more Dr Josh :/ and we just moved into town Wish you could have stayed longer . Sorry to hear you go but wish you the best of luck ! Also I asked for a Drs note to have my sons day care provide his medication and I was able to get the note faxed that same day I requested it ! I have been bringing my three children here for about 2 years now. I have been very satisfied with the Doctors here. We originally started seeing Dr. Feldman. She is awesome! She helped figure out what was going on with one of my children's allergies and was always available quickly when calling after hours for help. We have seen other doctors too, like Dr. Wagner who is also great! My only complaint about this office would be the waiting. I have waited over an hour before, but as I sit here today I do notice they are doing a better job at getting people in and out as scheduled. I would give 4.5 stars if I could overall for the quality of the doctors. read more

We just moved to Santa Clarita and we chose Prima Pediatrics because of the reviews and it is close to our new home. I have taken both of my daughters for their annual check-ups and I am very pleased with the front office staff, nurses, and Dr. Wagner. There has been only a few minute wait from being checked in to called back with the nurse, and then the Dr. promptly comes in to see us a few minutes later. Both of my girls have enjoyed their visits with the nurse and Dr. Wagner. They have made it an enjoyable experience and they are great with kids! We have definitely found our new primary care Pediatrician office that I will be taking my girls for years to come! read more

Dr. Feldman is exceptional, my daughter is medically complex and nobody in our area would treat her. We were literally told, "she's beyond our scope, you need to find a pediatrician that specializes in medically complex cases" and that was terrifying. With amazing attention to detail and continuing care from Dr. Feldman our child is happy, growing and thriving. It's like having a new child, I don't mind making the 2 hour drive because the entire team at Prima Pediatrics offers a level of care and understanding that is unbeatable. The doctors here with the exception of one are excellent in my opinion never had any issues, but as of today i got inaccurate billing, its 2018 and i'm just now getting billed for 2016?! I no longer have that insurance wtf and i supposed to do?! AND i'm getting billed for a ghost visit for my 2 kids that NEVER happened in Dec. because they were booked up all week so i had to take them to the ER?! Why in FUCKS SAKE am i getting billed for a "date of service" that never fucking happened?!! The front staff needs to be gutted cause clearly they don't know what in hell they're doing. My sons have been seen by Dr Feldman since they were 4 months old and now they are 20 years old. We can't imagine going to anyone else because she knows them so well and has given such excellent care throughout their lives. She is superb with special needs and diagnosing obscure issues. Dr. Feldman shows personal care and interest in my sons and they absolutely adore her! We have had good service by the front office staff and we adore MJ, Tara and the other nurses. The physicians assistant is super knowledgeable and caring. Going through the ups and downs of life is really hard, but I have always felt comforted by Dr Feldman's competence and investment in my sons. We will mourn the day we have to leave!! read more

We took our daughter here because she had a sore trough. When we got there there where no patiences waiting, but still took a loooong time to see the doctor. We got to the receptionist and she didn't acknowledged us because she was to busy choosing what candy to eat next and talking to a little kid. We waited and she finally said "yes?" After that we waited, they called us right way, and then they moved us to the room where we waited almost 45m for the doctor (Again, we were the only ones there at the moment) When the doctor finally went to see us, she wasn't there more than 5m and that's it. We had questions and she seemed rushed. After we finally left to get the medicine at the pharmacy, they kept saying the doctor hadn't sent the prescription. We had to called and ask again for the dr to send our prescription. Over all, I don't think I'll be taking my daughter there or recommending going either. I feel they are unprofessional, rude and careless. read more

This office has made it easy for me to make that change and not regret it. Dr. Wagner is very hands on and knows her stuff! Thank you for being awesome Dr! The front staff is wonderful. It's an unfortunate reality that the majority of people that tend to write Yelp reviews are the ones that may have had a negative experience. A business, or in this case a doctor's office, will see 30 patients who were happy with their care but it's the one unsatisfied patient that will decide to write a negative review. In the 10 years that I have been bringing my 2 children to Prima Pediatrics I have never once thought to write a Yelp review even though I have always been very happy with the care that was provided to them. I would like to start by mentioning that I am a Family Medicine physician who practices in Santa Clarita and I take my 2 children to see Dr. Feldman. Dr. Feldman is highly respected among her peers and the medical community as a whole. Children's Hospital LA unofficially refers to her as Children's Hospital West. Dr. Feldman cares for the most complicated pediatric cases and the sickest children. Ten years ago my daughter was born at Henry Mayo. Shortly after she was born it was evident that there was something seriously wrong with her. She was lethargic and had developed a fever. It turns out that she was septic and required transport to Northridge Hospital. She was admitted to the NICU and the doctor that managed her care was Dr.Feldman. What was supposed to be one of the most joyous times of my life turned out to be the most stressful 14 days of my life. Dr. Feldman did a tremendous job caring for my child. She provided compassionate care and gave me reassurance when I needed it most. Since then I have had another child and I have taken them both to Prima Pediatrics for all of their well child and sick visits. What may not be widely known is that her practice manages the majority of children in the Santa Clarita Valley with special needs, intellectual disability, and children with cerebral palsy. These types of patients are the most complicated and can be the most time consuming. Other Pediatricians choose to refer these patients out to specialists, focusing more on the quick and simple sick and well child visits. Dr. Feldman chooses to care for these patients, and also many patients with Medi-Cal insurance, because she has a big heart and she feels that they deserve the best medical care possible. Here's a tip. You can tell when you are being seen by a good physician when they tell you things you may not want to hear. Good physicians practice good medicine, even when it is contrary to what a patient may want to hear. When a patient decides to not immunize their child they are placing their child at great risk. Dr. Feldman will let them know that. Her tone and manner may be a little direct but it comes from someone who is truly passionate about the care she provides. Similarly, there may be a little wait to be seen. That's because the doctors are actually taking their time and providing the necessary counseling and education that other doctors fail to do. The doctors are not hoping from room to room, spending 3-4 minutes per patient, not listening to their concerns. They sit down, in an unrushed manner, and provide a comprehensive medical visit. This is something that is not often practiced in this day and age. Dr. Feldman, Dr. Wagner and all of the rest of the Prima staff care deeply about their patients and they provide the highest level of medical care that you will find in the Santa Clarita Valley. This comes from a fellow physician, and a father of 2 children, who insists on only the best care for his children. read more

I have been taking my son to Prima Pediatrics for over 3 years now and I couldn't be happier. We decided on this office because I was friends with one of their previous PA interns and he highly recommended them. I have found everyone on the office staff to be super friendly, they always remember my son's name and have a smile for him. How many people can say their 3.5 year old doesn't mind going to the doctor? Because I can! I adore Dr. Feldman, as does my son. She is always patient and answers any questions I may have. We have also had great experiences with Josh and Dr. Wagner. I only took away one star because in the past wait times have been very long and anyone with a child knows they are the most impatient creatures ever. Wait times haves definitely improved over the last year though- and even if they hadn't I would continue to go here just for the quality of care my son receives. read more

We have been taking my daughter for over a year now and Dr Feldman is great she always makes us feel at easy and sure about her diagnostics, the nurses are also great they are super friendly and helpful.......On the other hand the two fat lady receptionist are nasty and beyond rude! I can not believe no one from corp. do anything to change them or at least reprimand them! The have hang up the phone on my several times when I had concerns and questions about my daughters health...Someone need to do something to change this two careless workers.
