I've had storage here for years. When renting a unit the staff explained the rental agreement and rules regarding access, use of space & their vacate process. The site is accessible at all times and is always clean. Staff is helpful and responds to questions or issues in a timely manner. Absolute garbage customer service. We were asked to come move our trailer for a day while they did some tree trimming. Fine that isn't an issue. The problem is we were out of town on the day they were doing the work and we didn't have a place for the trailer for a few days while we were gone (that's why we pay to store it with them). So they offer to move it for us. That's great. I bring the key and they tell me they'll put it in the general parking lot. The problem is that parking lot is INSECURE (no gate/locks/code/nothing) and we're out of town a few days. They tell us they won't move it back and that we will assume all risk with regards to theft, damage, etc. Mind you, this is all on a 3 day notice we were given. Not like.. "next month on the 12th" for example. Just 3 days notice that this is taking place. And, they were unwilling to be flexible in doing the work. So the conversation turns towards the lady telling me how she's "doing me a favor" and starts getting a bad attitude. So I simply left. Walked out. Drove away. No argument. No yelling. No name calling or cussing. Just left. I was done with the terrible attitude and customer service that I could see was going nowhere. Been a long time customer. Never missed a payment or had a single issue. I get home to a notice to VACATE within 30 days. As it turns out, we actually got the trailer moved for them in the end anyways and we're still being asked to vacate. #1 its clear this is being done out of spite now because there is no reason to kick us out at this point and #2 its also clear they really don't care because they will probably just replace us with someone else paying a higher monthly rate for the same exact spot. I've been bent over long enough! Every year they increase the month rate based on what they think they can squeeze out of you. They don't even maintain the surrounding areas around the property. Broken sprinklers, trash and ants everywhere! I'm sick of getting screwed over for the convenience of having my property near by my home. I utilized Valencia Self Storage for several years to store my extra stuff when I moved out of Valencia. Overall, clean facility with easy access via the gate code (only had it once when my gate wouldn't open for me) any time of the day. Over the few years, the cost of my storage did go up and they did give me warning for each time it did. The staff within Valencia Self Storage II was helpful during my rental time and overall couldn't complain while I was a customer. I would only argue the cancellation policy that is not black/white and is favorable for them to keep your deposit. I filled out a word document of the form they have, put down my notice to vacate and they told me it was good to go with no problems. A month after leaving, I noticed I did not receive my deposit back via mail so I called in to inquire. I was bounced between Valencia Self Storage I and II answering questions. A gentleman at Self Storage I told me that I did not receive my deposit back because I "probably" did not give the proper notice. I asked him to clarify, as "probably" is not a sufficient answer in my book. He could not clarify the answer in which he directed me to call the number at Self Storage II. I did so and was told by the gentleman by Self Storage II that I gave proper notice and I will receive my deposit in the mail. I then received an email (not a call) from Kathleen the manager indicating I did not give 30 days notice and they would keep my deposit. I called her and told her that when I turned in my paperwork, nothing was said about 30 days, only 10 days and if that was the case, I would have paid an extra month so I could have extra time to remove my items from my the unit. If I was going to lose my money, might as well take the extra time. Her only response was that she would give me a credit next time I rented...clearly, that is not going to happen. Any storage place serves a basic function to store extra junk so what is different with Valencia Self Storage is the experience. If someone explained to me when I turned in my cancellation form that I needed to give more time, then okay, but that was clearly not the case and in fact the opposite. More importantly, I felt I was blatantly lied and mislead and for those reasons, I can not recommend Valencia Self Storage I/II or the other storage company they own, Castaic Self Storage. I will not utilize them ever again and will urge all my family and friends still living in Valencia not use them either. read more

I got two 10 x 10 units at this facility. Access is 24 hrs and the areas are well kept. Can't beat the $10/day "rental" for the truck for customers. Prices for storage units are very reasonable compared to others in SCV. read more

As a customer coming from their competitor, we asked for a month and two weeks while we are in between homes. We offered to pay a prorated fee, but there was no willingness to prorate at this place. You HAVE to pay for a full month whether you need it or not. We went to Public Storage and they had no problem prorating for up to the first 10 days of the month and they gave us a month for $1. This was a no-brainer for us. read more

They are just a money grab business. They used to value my business but clearly they need professional training as to how to treat their customers that pay their exorbitant fees each month. If you have a choice. Run somewhere else. Do not waste your time and money being treated like your a piece of garbage. I have been dealing with an employee named Cindy as of late. For the last 12 years that I have paid for this so called service I received a courtesy call to pay my bill before my bill went into plus this fee plus that fee or whatever fee we can legally collect because we are a money grab and don't give a flying shit about you or your business. About 2 months this so called idiot of an employee left me a message telling me that I needed to pay . I called before the date she said and she called back saying it was one day late. In all the years I have been there I was just going off the date she left me a message for. Well guess what ? This lazy employee now tells me they don't do courtesy calls anymore. Really? I cannot believe that all of a sudden they don't do this. I am positive it is in response to my scathing message to her after that call. She left me a message In a very condescending tone on my voicemail that since I've been with them for that many years I should know when the rent is due. So on Saturday October 18, 2015 I received a call from the management company for my office complex telling me I had to remove my trucks from the parking lot before it could be resurfaced (I had been notified previously but simply forgot). In a panic I called Valencia Storage which is nearby to see the cost to store my four work trucks for two days. I spoke with Matt and he said bring them over and there would be no charge. Now I ask you, "How kind is that"? So I did. My point here is saying if I ever have a storage issue I will certainly start here and give them a shot my business. read more
