Island Berry Farms blew me away with their amazing berry quality and friendliness of the staff. The strawberries were most ripe when we visited in mid July, so we stuck with these. We were encouraged to taste as we picked (go a reasonable extent) and given our own cartons. It was only $5 per pound for strawberries, and I filled up 1.5 cartons for just about $5! I've never had such sweet, flavorful strawberries. I'll definitely be back - I'd love to try their tomatoes when they come into season. Make sure to bring cash/zelle and have closed toes shoes.

They are in season right now!…read more We were driving down the road, and seen such an abundance of apple trees along both sides, covered in ripe fruit, in all shades of the color palette between green and red, tons and tons of apples on, and under the trees, we just had to stop. So here we are, at the Bella Farms stand, where things seem pretty simple. You could pick up your apples from the already collected pile inside the box, or you could climb the ladder up the nearest tree and get yourself some fresh ones. Several nearby trees had ladders installed on them actually. Self serve $4 per bag this year. Pretty good if you ask me! But as my family…read moreand I was on my way to Gizdich Ranch for strawberries, we actually pass this Farm and was super curious about it. So on our way back home we went here and it was pretty cool. I didn't realize how close Morgan Hill was to the Cupertino/San Jose area (~30 miles or less). It was a great experience. The entrance to the parking lot is very clear but it's only one way so if you see parking just park there. I saw cars park on the highway road because it was full. First you check in to pay admission for adults ( kids under 4 feet are free) then they hand you the bucket and your on your way. It was a bit muddy because of the rain the past few days so make sure to wear shoes you don't care about. We were a bit lost as to where we were allowed to pull but we found our footing and it was a fun hour experience. You can eat the cherries as you pick. They don't care. There's a lot of cherries at the bottom of the tree as well as on top for the kids to pick. But because of the weather and rain I saw more baby cherries or cherries that weren't ready to ripe yet. Maybe next weekend it will be better. When you check out, they weigh it and bag it in a plastic bag for you. Morgan Hill downtown is very close to here so you could go there for lunch or walk around to complete your Morgan Hill experience but you'll probably have to make a UTURN to get there. Check online for hours!
