Folks, give flowers to bring joy when they can enjoy it (not when they are too tired to fully appreciate it).. or surrounding a casket. So, if you are thinking.. "but flowers will die so why waste money".. believe me, the recipient will have that everlasting image and smell of the flowers beyond. Heck, I save the pic of all the arrangements I sent so that I get to enjoy them vicariously! Sad but true Paul communicated with me every step of the way. Today is my parents' 45th anniversary, and the first one without my dad on this earth. I wanted to send my mom flowers since my dad always did on their anniversary. I searched florists in Houston on yelp and Valentine Florist was rated the highest and was not far from my parents' neighborhood, so I gave Paul a call earlier in the week. He answered the phone, and I explained the circumstances of this bittersweet anniversary. He was very kind and patient, then asked what my mom liked in terms of flower, color, and style. I gave him a budget and a lot of information since I know my mom's taste. Valentine Florist is usually closed on Sundays, but he offered to deliver on Sunday if that was best for my mom. He decided to give her a call yesterday (Saturday) to see if the bouquet could be delivered then. I was not certain of the message I wanted to include with the flowers, so Paul gave me his number and told me to text him when I figured it out. After discussing with some colleagues, I texted him the message. When the bouquet was complete, he texted me pictures of it before it was out for delivery, which was really cool - I knew he "got" my mom's taste and he used a variety of different types of flowers and colors. Yesterday, he texted me an update from his driver, who spoke with my mom and delivered to her workplace instead of our house, which is in the same zip code/delivery area. My mom then texted my brother, husband, and I with a picture and her excitement. Later, when I spoke with her after work, she told me it was the most beautiful bouquet to celebrate her special love with my dad, and felt like my dad was celebrating with her too. That is exactly what we had hoped for, and I was so happy with the results. WOW. If I could give Paul & this company 10 stars, I would! From the very first call to the personal delivery and placement of the final products by Paul himself, I was blown away. The customer service was truly unparalleled. I had only a quick 2 week timeline to get about 15 med-XL arrangements for a big event. The moment I put in my request on Yelp, Paul called me about an hour later and asked me for the general vibe/feeling I was going for, and Pinterest photos I could send him for reference. From that point on, Paul responded within hours of each e-mail I sent, kept in constant contact w/ me via phone if he had any questions, and even called me 2 days before the event just to tell me about the "happiest" flowers that had just arrived for our event & asked me if he could text me pics of the raw product! I LOVED that! He initially told me that some of my Pinterest photo flowers were not in season, but he would do the best he could and even order MORE than he might need for us, at his expense, to ensure the final product was up to par. He said, "this is my livelihood, and I will not let ANYTHING leave my shop unless it is up to my standard!" And the final products were BETTER than my Pinterest photos! Paul arrived at our event and took the extra time to strategically hand place all of the arrangements where he thought they would get the best light/impact. Legit. I've worked with a bunch of vendors, but Valentine delivered by far the most beautiful flowers I have EVER seen. There is a very good reason that Valentine Florist has 5 stars. They do incredible arrangements that are works of art. A dear family friend passed away so I turned to Valentine to create a very special arrangement. They did one for me once before. The arrangement has a glass base with orchids climbing up the inside in a very serene arrangement and then the top is a beautiful spray of flowers. The arrangement doesn't seem possible, but it is oh so stunning. As always, their work is stunning. And they managed to deliver all the way down to Clear Lake! I'm not sure if that was a special delivery because I have been going to them for so many years.
