This place sucks I will never go here again. I am a commuter. I have gone here multiple times and the pump payment process does not work. If you get a charge me five dollars plus a gallon please slap me in the ass not in the face this is another example of a stupid mountain business and they continue to get rich and not even care. Clean, modern gas station with a nice mini market too. The property is well lit at night and located in a small strip mall off University in Irvine. I'm impressed how everything is very clean and modern. I would highly recommend this place when you are in the area and need to get gasoline. read more

Valero - Exterior - Gas Stations Near Me - Running Springs, California

The route to drive back towards Palm Springs requires chains since the road goes upward. There was a check point and they wouldn't let me pass. I drove all the way back to Valero today looking for chains. As I was looking at the price for a chain ($139.00), the lady at the register asked if I was driving up. I said no, I was driving down. She was confused when I told her there was a check point. She then proceeds to tell me if I take the back route towards San Bernardino, I'll be down the mountain in 30min and there was no check point. Thus telling there was no need to spend money on expensive chains. 30min later, I was back on the ground seeing green. Thank you Valero for your great customer service! Will definitely be coming back if I need any gas or chains. Wonderful staff! read more

So I go in there earlier today to get gas and some drinks and while I'm waiting in line to check out I hear nothing but rap music with every other word being a cussword with my six-year-old niece with me that's the last thing I need to hear when I'm inside your establishment I rather drive down the mountain to get gas and then drive back up the mountain than go here again read more

Some how I always find my self stopping here on the way up or back. The convenience store is nice size and has a great selection of junk food and drank. I've never gotten gas hear, or used the restrooms, but I've bought gallons of coffee, Monster, water,etc. The service is fast and friendly and it can get busy at times, but there are usually 2 or 3 folks that get the line moving real quick. The parking lot is big and roomy enough to turn around and get in and out of. And the traffic and visibility is perfect where you don't get stuck waiting 30 minutes to get back on the road. I think the locals in running spring are super nice and will always yield so you don't have to wait too long to get some space to pull out. That being said, I try to pay it forward by returning the same courtesy, which I think is something everyone should keep in mind. Good times on the mountain. read more

Your hours say 24 hours but when my husband I stopped to use the restroom a very rude attendant told us they were closing in 7 minutes. Never heard of a gas station closing at 430 in the afternoon unless it's a gas station that didn't allow black people. Don't worry will never stop again. My tip: I just had to wash the toilet seat before using it. Enough said. The woman that was out front sweeping, was friendly enough.... but when we pulled up I didnt feel that safe, and asked "Are we safe stopping here?" It just... seemed a little shady. I really only stopped here to use the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. After leaving, I felt bad that I was in there so long, as there were three people in line doing the potty dance.... but I had to seriously wash the toilet seat before I used it. There was urine all over it... as well as all over the floor. I washed the seat with soap and water then laid down three seat covers before actually going to the bathroom. I felt so disgusting, but when you gotta go, you gotta go. read more

Everytime my husband, or I come into our local gas station they are always very kind. Never had a bad experience. The Manager is a sweetheart, on top of her job, and so are her employees. I appreciate the kindnest, especially in these times. read more

WRITTEN ON 12/4/2016 : Watch your wallet, my friends! Got home to LA and realized our wallet was missing- called them because it's the only place we stopped for anything. I was going to give a 5 star review, because they still had it HOWEVER when we got up there the wallet was light on cash. ($550 are missing). Filed a police report- we will see what happens. I gave them a second star because the wallet was still there. This never got resolved. read more

The 24 market has come in handy on more than one occasion. Their beer prices are actually the same, or cheaper even, as it is down the hill. This is often not the case up here. I just wish they still had the Dominos pizza location in it. read more

CONS: during "flatlander" season, also known as snow/Winter season, this place is INSANE. So many people all over the place. Parked at pumps, putting chains on in the parking lot, walking around with no caution. However, I'm not taking stars off for this because the establishment tries their best to prevent this. PROS: Always had good luck here. It's much cheaper than the other gas station in running springs (locals all know which one I'm talking about) & they're so much nicer. Their pumps are almost always in working order & I very rarely see a pump "out of order". I pay for my gas in cash so I get the chance to meet the staff & they seem like nice people. Little side of the road service station. The restrooms weren't dirty but I can't say they were clean either. There were 3 people working at the time as well maybe they were busy Upon grabbing a few sodas we came up to the counter to hear two of the employees arguing about the schedule, when one of them announced loudly that he was "not in the mood for this shit today!" Awesome. The last thing I need to hear on my long road trip is your employee scheduling problems. This place is just your average gas station but maybe if the employees cared a little more about there work, it would be a great spot to stop, not just a have to stop. read more

This Valero has almost everything you need. Gasoline, sure. Food and lots of it. A minimum of one fast food concession and plenty of prepackaged items. Several big commercial coffee pots, with plenty of choices. Two unisex bathrooms. Plenty of knick knack items, some locally made. Prices are very fair. Need aspirin, batteries or whatever, they have it. Easy access East and West bound. When travelling East, it may appear suddenly - no fear, turn (right) into the side street and enter that way. Hey, Valero beats the heck out of 76's prove in Running Springs! If you're on your way up the 330 heading towards Big Bear and you haven't gassed up down at Costco or your favorite down the hill station, see if you can make it one mile past the 76 to the Valero where you'll not only get cheaper gas but a full convenience store. But don't let yourself run outta gas! And buy your chains at Walmart otherwise you're gonna spend like $100 for a set in Running Springs! read more

Their coffee is delicious, no BS. Sometimes my wife and I come here just for the coffee. Other than that, the gas is mountain priced and so are some of the items inside. They have a pretty decent beer selection and local beef jerky. The staff is pretty friendly so that's a plus. They can get pretty crowded on the weekends and during games ski season so bring some patience with you during those times. read more

Be careful getting gas here, have had water in my cars tank 2 times after getting gas from this location. Store is great though.
