We need a shower. I decided to give Love's a try, having read about this option online. Using the Love's app, it was super easy to book from the parking lot and pay for it. As it was morning, there were already showers available so we didn't wait. I got the confirmation immediately. We got our stuff together and headed in. Easy to dial the confirmation number into our designated shower, step inside and lock the door behind us. Inside, a big private space. And CLEAN. Sink, toilet and shower, complete with towels. They only have the same soap that is used at the sinks in the washroom, but that's okay - we were prepared. Mrs. K. and I had our showers and we feel a TON more human now. Clean! The staff here is so friendly and welcoming and you're in for a big surprise after walking through the doors, this store is filled with souvenirs and gifts items with just about any kind of snacks you can imagine. The restrooms are immaculate and spacious you can see the team here understands what's important to travelers. There is most of the basic things that come with rest stops with snacks, drinks, and (fairly clean) bathrooms. However, there's so much more: full fledged hot food restaurant serving legit Cajun specialties, souvenirs galore, multiple gas station pumps, and Tesla superchargers. The restaurant has boudin balls and cracklins like much of the surrounding area, but they've also got a few fabulous items worth getting. They close in the early evening and are not open on Sundays. During the late night hours, the hot foods become super limited with junk food pizza and hot dogs. And best of all? They're open 24 hours.
