She makes things up as she goes along and tries to control everyone, it is now all about the money because that is what "Alliance"wants according to Debbie. For some reason my post wasn't published before. I just can't leave it like that, without recognizing Dr. Credaroli for the incredible way we were treated. Back in June our beagle was ran over by a car, we arrived with him in very bad shape. From the way one of the nurses came out to help us carry him inside we knew he was in good hands. The constant updates of his condition were happily received. When he finally came out walking on its own we couldn't believe it... But it was from that point to the complete recovery of our boy, when Dr. Credaroli went out of his way to help us. Follow up calls, even after work, from his house, giving us all the advice needed in those really sad days, when we didn't know what was going to happen. This was probably the most uncomfortable and bizarre visit I've had at a vet. I'm not sure if we came at the wrong time, wrong day; but I will not be returning. When I called earlier in the week, the staff was very pleasant, patient and provided pricing of new patient visit and annual exam. This was not the treatment I received during my visit. Today was untimely and unorganized. I felt challenged, uncomfortable, irritated, and embarrassed. They administered tests I did not ask for, pushed me to change my dogs diet (repeatedly) for no good reason, charged me for unwanted services, and didn't know who I was when the vet came into the room. Walked out, came back and and said "oh I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else...". What?!? After my visit today I would not recommend this hospital to any of my friends. read more

On October 30,2017 we found our 9 year old German Shepard sick and I need of care. John and his staff Katie,Tiz, and all the staff members took such great care of our girl. She was toxic and dehydrated. They were very loving and caring. They found that her kidneys were not working well. They had her on IV for three days and let us walk her everyday. They got her to eat and put her on KD prescription food. The staff was amazing, so much compassion caring and loved her as if she was their pet. John and his staff can always be reached and are willing to contact you. We always get appointments when we need them. THEY DO NOT OVER CHARGE AT ALL. THANK GOD. They also accept trupanion which I wis I had gotten when Cara was a year old. We have been going to John for 9 years and he and his staff are second to no one that we have found. They knowledge and professionalism is levels above any other vets in the area. We travel 45mins to see him and his staff. That is how great John and his staff are. read more

Valhalla a Animal Hospital killed my 7 year old cat. He had two teeth extracted on Friday. He was dead Sunday night. He went in healthy. On Saturday morning he had an elevated respiratory rate and labored breathing and felt warm. I called as soon as they opened. I was advised not to come in, but did anyway. He had a temp of 105.7. They gave him fluid and NSAID. They sent him home claiming it was just pain. He died the next day. This only weeks after making a $1200 mistake in blood work. Find a different place if you love your pets. Healthy, lively animals do not deserve to suffer and die. I blame myself for taking their advice and waiting it out. I will never forgive myself for watching this poor boy die slowly for two days. And compassion is not their strong point. You don't like to hear, "I'm f-info sick of people blaming for everything!" from your vet when trying to determine what went wrong with your pet who was perfectly healthy before walking in his door. read more

If I was able to give 6 stars I would. I have not met a more helpful and straight forward (in a good, sincere way) Doctor as John Credaroli. My dog needed her eye removed and I was told that Valhalla Animal Hospital was the place to go. They were extremely fair when it came to pricing and very informative prior to surgery. There were no hidden costs and they treated my dog like their own. He truly cares for his patients and wants to do the best for the customer. My fur baby has received quality care for over 3 years now at this animal hospital. He knows where we are as soon as we hit the parking lot!! He loves the techs and his vet. He's a bit of a drama king when he doesn't get his way but the staff has always demonstrated patience, love and kindness to him despite his outburst. He's had routine visits, surgery and oral procedures at VAH without any complications and lots of love and care. I've recommended VAH to any and everyone that asks me about a vet! They go above and beyond with all patients, and truly care about everyones pets. I have 2 French Bulldogs and John Credaroli has saved them both not once, but twice. My male was neutered there a few months back, and he was back to his normal self 24 hours later! They always make you feel at ease, and provide the best treatment plans for any case. We have been going to VAH ever since we got our dogs. Over the last few years we have received great service up till a few months ago/ days ago. We were told our dog needs surgery. They told us they would call with an estimate, which they did. Instead, they included the estimate of medical procedures that we did not discuss during the appointment. When this issue was addressed, the Vet called back and stated " you are making a decision you would regret if you dont follow with this procedure", which we thought was completely unprofessional to say to clients. The vet continued to say we had our pet credit card so did not see the problem of going through with the medical procedures we did not ask for. We thought this was completely out of line and rude. read more

This place is amazing! My cat was pregnant and had a kitten . I went in to check if there was more. Doctor was amazing and very kind . Staff was friendly too. They are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable, while they are caring for your pet. I used to always travel to the bronx for my other pets not anymore: I have found myself a good vet for my pets. Definitely sticking to this doctor. He is located in Valhalla and I commuted from Tarrytown. I was in a emergency and this vet had no problem seeing my cat. I was rejected by many vets around my town because i wasn't a patient of theirs, they were booked or couldn't perform a csection on my cat if it was needed. Thank god I found this place. Will always go back to them moving forward. Love the staff and doctor, they worked great as a team. read more

My cat Willy sadly developed a brain tumor recently. Dr. John (Credaroli) was the foundation of the care that diagnosed the problem and meaningfully extended Willy's happy life before he couldn't be helped anymore. At first, there was no obvious, outward reason to suspect a tumor, but at one point not long after first consulting John, something made him suspect that we should rule out a tumor and referred Willy to a neurologist. This of course revealed the tumor, and care shifted immediately to options for slowing it down and allowing Willy time to keep re-earning his name - willful, active, playful, etc. Jon figured out the balance of steroid and homeopathic treatments that made Willy rebound amazingly on and off for much of the summer, and allowed him to enjoy more outdoor time at the end of his life. Eventually, Willy reached a point where nothing more could be done for him. The painful decision had to be made to euthanize him before he was simply suffering and not enjoying life. John offered to come do that so Willy's final moments could be in his trusted favorite environment. That was a selfless act of compassion. The whole team there resonated the same way, every step of the way. They are in lockstep on their values and beliefs in veterinary care. Billing was very reasonable, with no nickel and diming or dubious promotion/pushing of diagnostics and treatments which I've unfortunately experienced elsewhere. I've owned many pets over the course of my life, and have taken them to a number of veterinary practices. I wholeheartedly recommend this one. It's the best I've experienced. read more

Dr. John Credaroli is a BRILLIANT diagnostician. Our dog, Kelly, had chronic ear discomfort from the day we brought her home. I would literally clean her ears every day and dig out the most disgusting dark residue. Occasionally, Kelly would dig away at her ears until she cried out in pain. I had just taken her in to the Vet for another issue and happened to mention this ear thing. Dr. C told me about a common food enzyme that some dogs are allergic to. He recommended a different food and within a month Kelly stopped digging away at her ears. I only clean her ears once a week now and there's barely anything on the swab! Let me just start by saying that Dr. John Credaroli has been treating our family's pets for at least 25 years. I would never trust anyone else to tend to our pets. Not only does he give very good and sound advice, he will tell you what can be done, and what can not be done. He is not one of those vets who will advise expensive treatments that will only prolong an animals life by a few days or months. I'm not sure about the negative reviews here, but we've had many animals over the past 25 years, and John had always been not only a great vet, but a great friend as well. read more

I can't praise the Valhalla Animal Hospital enough!!! They have been treating my dogs for the past 25 years. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else. Dr John is extremely competent with a superb instinct and knowledge on how to treat and diagnose ailments. I have never felt that he recommended any unnecessary tests or procedures. I have recommended him to many people who have always been delighted with the service of the Valhalla Animal Hospital. I've always found John to be amazing in determining what is important, what is serious or not and what treatment is necessary and would make a difference to the animals well being, but giving me the knowledge to chose what is best. It's a total ripoff: $225 for regular annual shots for kitten!!!!! - $65 for exam - vet just look at my cat, open it's mouth and checked the breath- I can do It myself for free, $40 for each component in shots: rabies, FVRCP and Lime, although cats don't die of lime disease, I didn't ask for that shot. And I was charged for medical waste disposal $10 - they have no shame! The rest of a total amount was o'k - I bought medical drops. Never more! read more

Our pets have been clients of VAH for over 13 years. John Credaroli and Artie Klock (no longer there) are great vets and of course Rocco who is fabulous. Recently we acquired a Show Quality Teddy Faced Pomeranian. I took him to VAH in October when he came to us for a check up and this is when we found out Artie had left. A female vet (very nice) gave him a check up and all was great. She advised us to wait until he is 4lbs to have him neutered and being honest she told us that she wouldn't feel comfortable doing the surgery on him and advised we have John perform the surgery. 2 weeks ago I called to schedule same. I told Debbie I wanted John and Only John to do the surgery. I had to wait a few weeks for his availability. Surgery was yesterday the 10th. I dropped Louie off at 8:30. I called at noon and was told he's still in surgery. At 2, I called and he was recovering. 5pm, John called or I thought it was John. I referred to him as John and he didn't correct me. He told me how difficult the surgery was do to Louie's testicles being so small. I went to pick up my Louie and asked Debbie where John was and she informed me he left. A nice young tech then brought me Louie wrapped in his towel with an Elizabethan color on his tiny head. The bill was a staggering $ 802.00!!!!!!!!! I took him home. While in the car the smell of feces, vomit and who knows what else was dizzying. When we got home I put him in his crate and then I saw he had feces on his back, a clump of blood with something in the fur of his hindquarter. I called and told Debbie what was going on and she put the "doctor" on the phone. As he rambled on I explained how I had spoken to John an hour prior, it was then he acknowledged it was him on the phone and didn't find it necessary to correct me. I then asked "you did the surgery, not John?" He told me John doesn't do surgery anymore. If I would have known that Nick Spaccarelli DVM who has been "let go" from 2 other animal hospitals one of which their administator stated "he doesn't want to be a vet, he just wants the money to fund his "surfing" business. It is now 6am, 12 hours since he's been home and we are all still awake watching him. He has been shaking, his tongue hanging out of his mouth, he can't stand, therefore, he is reliving himself on himself and us. My niece Jennifer Gabriele who is a veterinarian in Chelsea, NYC is on her way to my home now. Again, if I was told John wasn't able to do the surgery, I would have went to my neice in NYC or to Marbletown Animal Hospital. Horrible Experience. Had my dog neutered there. When I picked him up, he was lifeless and it felt as if I was picking up a dead animal. He could not even walk on his own! This, after I was assured he would be running around when I picked him up. I slept on the floor all night with him and even the next day he was drowsy and had trouble walking. I called and they told me; "Oh yeah, he had some issues with the anesthesia and had some hypothermic episode and had to be packed with heating pads during the procedure. No one ever told me this upon pick up nor did they call me, I had to call them and on top of it all, i went to them because a friend of mine went to vet school with one of the vets who was to do the procedure. This happened a while ago now and I was just going to let it go and just never go there again however, I am now looking to have my dog's teeth cleaned and so afraid because of our last experience with "anesthesia" so I had my vet contact Valhalla to see exactly what was given including dosages and they were appalled! My dog in their opinion was give three times the recommended dose of anesthesia so it made sense he had trouble coming out of it. DON"T GO HERE!!! NO FOLLOW UP and INAPPROPRIATE CARE!!! read more

I have been coming here with my dog for almost 5 years. She is a somewhat difficult dog (a biter) but Dr. Muoio and Rocco know exactly how to handle her. The exams are thorough and we rarely wait. I am sure I would pay less at Petco or similar places for routine vaccines, etc. but I would not want to compromise on my dog's healthcare. Office staff is great and I have always been able to make appointments for the same day if necessary. I highly recommend this vet. read more
