Dulce said that I could not have an emergency appointment this week, because I am a new patient. She said, "You can call on Fri, April 3 to make your emergency appointment and you'll be seen on Mon. the 6th." Because I wanted to use Touro Dental, as my union for retired school administrators highly recommended them, I went to a walk-in clinic to get an antibiotic to hold me over until the 6th. The antibiotic seemed to be working, but my symptoms returned yesterday. As instructed, I called Dulce back as it was April 3. But she told me that I could not have my emergency appointment on Monday as she had promised, because "They're only seeing current patients on April 6 & 7. She said you'll have to call back on Fri, April 13th to be seen on Mon the 15th, because we'll be on vacation. Her tone was uncaring and indifferent, and she denied acknowledging that she told me to call on the 3rd. I asked for her supervisor's name. She refused to provide it but said that she could email them and that they would call me. She said she was the only person I could speak with. I am totally disgusted with how I was lied to/gaslighted while being in so much pain!

My insurance company said my responsiblity was $130, which I paid. Now Aspen is billing me again for the $130 I already paid. HIPAA protects patient medical info from being discussed without the patient's consent. I just provided everything that happened, so you responding would not violate HIPAA. I'm sure you know this, though, because you had no issue blasting out another reviewer's information below. I'll be waiting for the returned call since you care so much about patient satisfaction. ORIGINAL: So the practice sent me a text asking me to review my appointment, and here it is... First off, i should say the front office staff and assistants are lovely. They also have an adorable office dog Beyond that, this appointment was a train wreck in slow motion. I had written in to their website about my desire for the dentist to fill in two small cracks in bonding that I have on my front teeth. The dentist walks in, asked me what I was there for (and i told him), and then proceeds to look into my mouth and say "yeesh" in a manner of disgust. He spent at least the next half hour poking and prodding, telling his dental assistant everything that was horribly wrong with my mouth and how it needed to be fixed. Despite the insults, He laid out a new treatment plan which I was actually pretty excited about and was going to look into further, but after the rest of my experience, there's no way I will be returning to this practice. When it came time to filling the chips, he responded "today?" as if he was confused. I said yes, and he took a look at the chips and told me how horrible the bonding was and how he had a different technique that could give me the same results but without adding more bonding. I trusted his judgment, as he is a talented dentist (from the pics i saw) and agreed. He spent about five minutes changing the shape of my teeth by my gums, and rather than fill the chips, he simply shaved down the teeth that they were in. Looking at it lying down, it looked OK, but when I sat up and looked at it, I was shocked to see that my tooth looked like a baby tooth-- the exact reason I got bonding on it in the first place. This is where the tide changes. He could tell I was unhappy, and I told him why, and he asked if I wanted him to fix it, to which I replied, I did. His response was " "Well you're gonna have to wait" and he stormed out of the room to go see another patient who was waiting for him. He eventually came back, and began to add bonding to the tooth to fix it to its original form. Five minutes later when he was done, I pointed out that the tooth was much darker than the rest of them. He agreed, but became obviously angry. He tried to fix the color, while quite literally huffing and puffing the entire time. By the time he was done, I wasn't happy with the color being still off (though not as bad) and not the same shape it was before (still shorter). Beyond being less than satisfied with my dental work, what left me in a horrible mood when leaving this office was how absolutely CRUEL he was to his staff. He demeaned them over and over again in front of me, and would occasionally get up to scream at them down the hall. I've never had an experience like this in ANY establishment (, it should be known that I work in a maximum security prison). I was and still am mortified for the poor girls on staff. What should've been a 15 minute appointment in simply filling in tiny chips turned into a little over two hours. I am so disappointed. Edited to add that my tooth is so discolored and disjointed , i have to take the day off work tomorrow to get it fixed. And of course pay more money.
