Parents were not pros at identifying the various items out on the floor and it was a minefield to navigate it all so you could easily turn an ankle on equipment. I watched a couple little girls stumble and start crying because of this. The bday had a game that 2 staff members ran but otherwise they were largely absent on the gym floor. There was no instruction, no structure otherwise. Kids wandered between the bounce house to every piece of equipment with total access. As a parent I kept close to my child to help him but I liked other party venues a lot better because they had staff to get involved and show safe ways to use equipment they had put on the floor. On a hot day over 80 degrees there was no a/c except up in the upstairs party room. I was very hot and uncomfortable as were the kids. Thankfully I brought my son's water to keep him hydrated. Everyone was sweaty and gross. Add to that the venue did not require socks, it seemed a ripe environment for athletes foot or other germs to flourish as I did not notice the equipment or mats looked particularly clean. Nobody was cleaning after use either like at other venues. Overall, nice idea but I think staff needs to think about execution of a bday party better. There is a wide variety of equipment but no instruction, little space between the equipment, and random jump boards everywhere that I don't think 5 yr olds were equipped to navigate well.

Coach Henry and Coach Drew have done an incredible job developing not only our son's basketball skills but also his character, confidence, work ethic, and life skills. They genuinely care about each player and challenge them to become the best version of themselves, both on and off the court. One thing we appreciate most is Coach Henry's and Coach Drew's coaching style. After playing in more than 30 tournaments each year, we've seen a lot of different coaching styles. Some are far too hard on kids, while others don't challenge them enough. Coach Henry and Coach Drew have found the perfect balance. They hold the players accountable, push them to improve, encourage teamwork, continue development all while making each player feel valued and supported. As a Christian family, we also deeply appreciate the values Coach Henry brings to the program. Integrity, respect, humility, and encouragement are evident in the way he leads the team, and that means so much to us. We are so excited that our younger son will be joining Mercadel this August. Watching the growth our older son has experienced over the past four years has given us complete confidence that this is the right place for him as well.
