Get ready to feel accomplished after your first workout. My husband and I signed up for personal training and we've made through our first four lessons, so far so good! We're already feeling progress. Coaches Kim and Jeff are amazing and practice what they preach. (They're fit) I recommend their style of personal training because it's not boring and we look forward to each "obstacle course" they set up for us. For starting out, I knew I needed personal training because I didn't have the discipline to follow an outlined set of workouts on my own. My boys and I have been training Martial Arts since 2013. We started because my older son was getting bullied. My boys are now 9 & 12 years old. Throughout the past few years we have trained at several MMA gyms. White Dragon, 5 Star MMA, Victory MMA, Agility, Outliers and finally Alliance East. I have nothing bad to say about any of these gyms, but Alliance East has taken my boys to the next level. The difference has been the attention to detail high quality of coaching as well as the wide variety of classes that cover all aspects of fighting. Boxing, kickboxing, jiu jitsu, wrestling etc. they have it all! The coaches truly care about the kids progression and if they like to compete the coaches are all in. My 12 year old just did his 1st IKF kickboxing fight and won! With coach Jeff and coach Jeremy in his corner the sky is the limit. In the past 3 months coach Jeremy and coach Jeff have built his confidence and technique exponentially since we've been here. They made us feel welcomed from the start. This gym is great. Nice and big with everything you could want. It's very clean. I don't live in the area so I drop in when I'm in town. Both times I have dropped in, I have felt very welcomed. Its the perfect place for those well seasoned fighters and novice folks such as myself just trying to keep conditioned. When you step into the gym you will be greeted like you are apart of the family as they treat everyone with respect weather you like it or not. Rule of advice: if you plan to do this be ready to work hard and not eat before training and drink water. I seen many folks head to the bathroom after 45 minutes of growling, intense exercises. My boys have been coming to this gym for about a year and a half and they love it. The coaches are great with the kids. They are firm but fair. Having coach Jeremy there for every jiu-jitsu competition and wrestling competition coaching is great. He helps the kids gain that confidence they need in their training wich will also transfer to other aspects in their life. Coach Matt is also great with the kids and is very patient. Alliance training center east is located in the same shopping center at the In N Out our in El Cajon off the 67. It has a ton of parking as it is in a strip mall shopping center. The equipment is all very nice and maintained and the staff are outstanding. While I was attending Alliance I was taking the jitsu and nogi classes which were very fun and there was a lot of individual attention given to each person during the lessons. All the people that I rolled with were very well mannered and friendly. It really felt like a family spot more so then a fitness gym which I love. I hate places that make you feel like you have to live up to something that you are not. At Alliance they inspired you to push yourself, but not break your spirit. As an old guy coming from the solar field I would show up to class after 12-14 hours of construction installing solar. So I was spent before I even got into the car to drive the 20 miles away for class. But, the classes were so fun I went and would practically fall asleep on the mats during class. Well, felt like it. There is a variety of trainers from all walks of life as well people constantly come through to practice from other locations. The whole gym really supports it memebers like a family. While there are a few other spots I would love to train at due to specific instructors who's technique I would like to learn. Alliance has everything to get you back into the shape you want to be in and isn't completely competition focused. You can be just a normal family guy or girl and they have stuff for you. If I could afford to maintain my membership and make the drive I would totally be there still. Had to stop do to money, taking care of family comes first. Still practicing what I learned in the classes there since it's all in the details. Much respect to this gym and it's members. They give back to the community all the time and they have a lot of support for our troops. One of the owners is a veteran himself, I think that helped a lot in making this place feel like a home instead of a gym. We oath keepers really need that comradery and you can find it here for sure.
