This is a long overdue review (wedding was September 2021). I found Vali on Yelp and I'm so thankful I did. She altered my wedding dress and did the most amazing job. I took my dress in 6 weeks before my wedding to allow enough time. Vali said she could easily do the dress within two weeks but we went in early to allow time. Unfortunately she caught Covid and had to close for some time. I was nervous because we were 2 weeks out from my wedding day but Vali delivered. She did such amazing work!!! I was nervous I would lose the lace at the bottom of my dress because she had to cut almost 12 inches off but she was able to move the lace up. I was super impressed! This woman is the most hard working person who has great passion for her work. She was working extremely hard despite having difficulty breathing at times. If you're lucky enough to find Vali and her crew to help you with alterations, consider yourself lucky. Not only did she alter my wedding dress...she also agreed to alter my wedding rehearsal dress 4 days before I needed it. She's simply the BEST!!! read more

I must write this review for Valí because I truly feel that she is the very best seamstress/ tailor in the area to say the least. My wife and I got engaged and married within 2 months and finding someone to alter my wife's dream dress ( that was nowhere near sized) in time for our wedding seemed impossible. My wife was referred to Vali and she not only made her feel comfortable and confident but she also came home literally crying because Vali had taken the time to completely undo and re sew her whole dress to fit like a glove. I started using Vali's several months ago (2-3 times a week) after my frustration boiled over with Loomis Park Place Cleaners. Vali runs a professional business with a smile, reasonable prices, and she does excellent work. I no longer need to fear of my clothes being ruined or lost like seemed to be common at Park Place. I went to pick up my husband's alterations that he dropped off. Unfortunately, my son fell asleep in the car on the way there. When I got to the parking lot, I called and asked if anyone could possibly bring the clothes to my car. I didn't have high hopes that they would, but they did! They brought out the clothes that I needed to pick up! I gave my credit card to the lady, she ran back inside to charge me for the alterations, and then brought my card back out to me. Any parent knows how difficult it is to run errands with a sleeping kid, so I am extremely grateful for the customer service they provided here for me. Love Vali's! They do alterations perfectly and everyone who works there is so nice. I recently had my daughter's homecoming dress altered there (needed to chop several inches to take it from a floor length dress to above the knee) and we were thrilled with the result. I called and made an appointment in advance. With my appointment, Val said she could have my dress ready ( 3 layers) as soon as I needed it. I needed it a week later and she provided it a week later. Warning to brides- do NOT use Vali for your dress. She single handedly ruined my wedding day and my dress. I booked her a couple months in advance with the set date of my wedding. She let me know two days before my final fitting that she was going out of town but promised she would finished my dress then called to confirm it was done. I picked it up and didn't open it trusting her. When I went to put my dress on the day of the pads were loose. We called her and even though my wedding was in Roseville and she could have sent her assistant to sew it in she had her son drop the pads off with some safety pins and told us we could door ourselves. To make it worse, my dress was bussled with her half way job and walking into my venue the bussle broke and my dress fell on the black asphalt making black stains all down my train before the wedding even started, we had to safety pin the dress to hide the stains ruining it. I was so sad and it could have been prevented by using someone else. She did decent with brides maid dresses and tuxes but she really made my day upsetting pics included. read more

I dropped in at 8:15am with my wedding dress and my sister's bridesmaids dress. I was warmly greeted and taken care of immediately! The owner was so sweet and efficient. All my dress needed was a bustle, but when I took my dress off, beads started coming off. She assured me she would take care of it and fix the dress for me! After being an idiot and going to another tailor (rhymes with mold country in Sacramento), who butchered my wedding dress and left me in tears, I went to Vali based on a recommendation from a friend to fix my dress. LISTEN TO ME, Vali is a GOD SEND! She totally revamped my dress, and fixed all the issues that the other tailor said were "impossible." She also caught things that the previous tailor did wrong and fixed them for me as well. Vali has an eye for detail and definitely wants to make sure you look your best! This type of honesty is rare. I came here for both alterations on a bridesmaid dress and a cleaning for my very dirty wedding dress that also had a few rips at the bottom. They did an amazing job with both. I drove out to Vali's from Yuba City because my mom had raved about it, and a good seamstress is hard to find. I bought a dress online and fell in love with it. The only problem was that the dress was sheer and the slip that came with the dress was too short. My mom gave me an old slip of hers to wear underneath, but it was too big. I took the dress and my mom's slip into Vali's to see if they could take it in for me. Not only did they take it in, they added straps and darts to help make the slip fit in a more flattering way, and they did it in four days. They called me the morning it was ready and asked if I could allow about 20 minutes for changes when coming to pick it up. When I got there, they had me try it on and then they made some additional alterations to it, to make sure it was perfect, all while I waited, in a matter of minutes. On top of being skilled and speedy craftswomen, all of the women who work there are kind and gracious. I will be back. read more
