I have been coming here for over 10 years. I'm all about supporting small local businesses. In fact, I used to work right next store to them in a medical office. However, this place has never been nice or friendly. Calling here for anything and staff makes you feel like there is 101 better things to do than to help you. David in my opinion is the worst pharmacist ever. They shorted their store hours and they are not open weekends. I moved and for whatever reason I was stupid enough to keep them as my pharmacy. For example, just recently I went into the pharmacy and was totally ignored. A woman had been waiting for a consult in the drive thru they said for over 15 mins. One staff was on the phone yelling about a workman's comp and how the receptionist was "rude". David the pharmacist was taking to a woman for about 20 minutes where the best places to ski and camp were. He seemed to care less that there was multiple people waiting for him. This place doesn't care and it shows. PLEASE, go somewhere else! I'm so happy I did. My new pharmacy already knows my name and and they actually smile! What a concept! P.S.- To those who reviews said the staff was "friendly" and "professional". We must be talking about two different staff members here. Unless they are giving out special treatment? I've given them multiple breaks and chances as a professional courtesy. There are so many pharmacies that deserve your business rather than David. read more

Art Presser is a talented and compassionate pharmacist with an impression grasp of western and alternative medicine. I was recommended to Art by my psychiatrist and feel lucky to have made this connection. For me, the combination of western and alternative is the way to go and Art has done an impressive job at Valle Verde. I have also been very impressed with the professionalism of the staff. Drove to Watsonville today from Monterey, to pick up this prescription, a compound. This was a horrible experience from before I even got there. I called to make sure it was ready since I had not received any verification of pick up before I drove 30 min both ways to get this script I called and she said " yes your prescription is still ready" like It was a problem I was checking. I arrived, as soon as I walked in she asked if I had a mask I responded yes she said "walk outside put it on , then walk back in" I don't know why that would be but I followed and did what I was asked but the tone was just rude that was the chunky girl, same one I talked to on the phone prior. Then the woman of Asian decent rang me up I asked for a consultation and she asked oh this isn't your first time, I said no which it was the first time..she called author I believe his name over to consult and he was very short with the consult, I caught him staring at my boobs while giving the short consult. I paid $94 for this script and when I got to work 1 hour later I opened the bag and seen REFRIGERATE . Nobody ever mentioned that. There was also a date for 30 days from today saying discard. So I called to make sure about that. The Asian decent woman answered and went over the days with me and kept saying 1 month plus and I said plus what? she said about this or that. Then 4 or 5 months if you REFRIGERATE it right away. So now there stressing keepong REFRIGERATED. This prescription is a bleach for skin, my face, for melasma im not messing around with this. Although they didn't seem to care. So then she went on to say how I needed to REFRIGERAT the script and I said that would of been nice to know during the consult and she said "well there is a big label right on the front" I responded with the script was put in a stapled bag by you. I went on to ask for her name so I could make a review and she hung up on me that's why I'm referring to them by appearance.. they were very rude. I would rather pay $300 in salinas then come to this pharmacy. I wish I never gave them a dime.. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. I am a pharmacist and have worked in both independent and chain pharmacies over the past 15 years. In the last 3 interactions I have had with the pharmacist/owner there, he has been extremely rude. But today, his actions were unprofessional in addition to rude. Today, while working at a competitor pharmacy, I was trying to help a gentleman get his medication transferred from Valle Verde to a new pharmacy. The first time I called, waited, and when I finally spoke to the pharmacist, he told me he was too busy to write down my request. I was told that I had to write down what I had just requested verbally, and FAX my request to them, since he was too "swamped". So I obliged (although that IS NOT the standard of practice) and made a list of the medications the gentleman needed; however all I got back was a fax signed by Tommy, the owner, stating that I should call the patient's DOCTOR for new prescriptions, instead. So I called the pharmacy back again, asked to speak to the pharmacist, to let him know this gentleman was waiting for his prescriptions for insulin and other diabetic and pain medications. Tommy got on the line, told me he didn't have time to give me the information to fill these prescriptions and if he did it he could have it done "maybe before closing tomorrow". I explained that the customer could probably wait until the end of the day TODAY, but not TOMORROW, and subsequently Tommy hung the phone up on me. So I was left at 5 pm, after the doctor's office closed (no doctor available to contact by then) with a customer who wanted his diabetic and pain medications, and his pharmacy unwilling to supply the necessary information. I called the patient back and luckily he had enough insulin to last him tonight and it wasn't an emergency, I shudder to think what would have happened if it had been. read more

Terrible disgusting staff . My best friends mom , a well known and respected member of the community , went there with a prescription she had received from her doctor that is twenty minutes away from Watsonville . Her regular pharmacy was out of the medication and they could've called the doctor /pharmacy to verify . Instead, they told her to travel thirty minutes and take it elsewhere . She left shaking as my friend called me to vent . Keep in mind her mom is mid fifties , married for thirty years , a pillar in her church in terms of arranging events etc , and upon first glance you might thing SHE would be the one to pass judgement . (One second talking to her tells you otherwise , but I would say she is very naive to the ugly of the world ) This staff is despicable- if a person like that is not allowed to fill their rx without getting judgement , idk how this place stays in business . Exercising my freedom of speech , these people must hate their miserable lives . And the poor techs must be counting the minutes on the clock daily . These people should be ashamed of themselves . Idk why the owner is so proud but Imo it's like look , you own a pharmacy in Watsonville ca that's half the size of my bedroom & is staffed by demonic human beings . U should feel so accomplished ! I'll add that this happened to my friends mom months ago - I only updated my review cuz I've had a minimum of ten ppl have a horror story about this place . Go anywhere else ! read more
