They have plenty of seating inside and a number of board games available but we just opted for dinner this time. It wasn't loud or dark inside so it was a nice place to have some good conversation with friends and not worry about hearing one another, haha. As for food, we ordered the giant Bavarian pretzel with added beer cheese dip to share and I went for the falafel sandwich with sweet potato tots ($3 upcharge) for my meal. The pretzel was delicious...I enjoyed both types of mustard as well as the cheese dipping sauce. I'd get that again for sure. The falafel sandwich was good but a bit dry - it was better once I asked for a side of hot sauce. The tots were really good but I didn't feel like it was a ton for the upcharge. My husband ordered the black & bleu burger with fries and enjoyed that as well. The service was great too - super friendly and attentive. All in all a tasty food choice in a good environment. The Hodge Burger was award winning in this area; people still crave them. Friday nights were great for a Hodge Burger then walk it off with a walk to the theatre for a movie (now closed) then walk back to Hodges for beers. Sad that most of the neighborhood establishments are gone now. Barberton had quite a few neighborhood places that could be safely walked to from home. It seems to now be a rarity that people can pass along anything and expect the recipient to love it with as much heart as the giver. Your public misses you Hodge.

Today, I had a delightful outing with my 9-year-old granddaughter, who eagerly insisted we visit this charming spot she loves. Although it was my first time, she had been here many times before, and I was excited to see what all the fuss was about! As soon as we stepped in, we were warmly greeted with cheerful smiles, which instantly made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was a bit lively--understandably, since it was lunchtime--but that just added to the vibrant energy of the place. We quickly placed our drink orders, and before long, we were ready to dive into the menu. My granddaughter opted for a decadent chocolate chip pancake, while I went for the classic avocado toast topped with two perfectly cooked eggs. I'll admit, it didn't cross my mind to snap a photo until I had already cut into my toast! But let me tell you, both dishes were nothing short of delicious! The flavors were incredible, and the service was impressively quick, with everyone around us exuding warmth and friendliness. my husband and I go to V-cafe during the day all the time .. so when we heard they were open for dinner we had to go. Let me just say O M G !!!! what a wonderful place to have a lovely meal. Day time is great but at nite V-cafe shines. the lights are low, the tables are draped in black linens and romantically lite with candle light. the wait staff are professionally dressed as well as the kitchen staff. and the food !!! WOW. amazing !! we had the french onion soup!! incredible! the house salad with their custom in house dressings.YUMMY! I had the Amish chicken with pan seared baby veggies... a lovely blend of flavors. my husband had the Steel head trout which was cooked to perfection. they also have a great selection of wines and beer to add to your dinning experience. Amazing Breakfast Spot Worth the Drive It had been years since I last visited Valley Café, and I'm happy to say it's just as fantastic as I remember. My wife and I recently enjoyed breakfast here, and everything was outstanding. She had the Eggs Benedict, and I opted for a breakfast bowl (I can't recall the exact menu names), but both were incredible. We also shared a pancake as an appetizer, which was equally delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is consistently top-notch. If you're even remotely close--within 45 minutes or more--it's absolutely worth the drive. This is our number one favorite brunch spot in Wadsworth. They have a beautiful outdoor seating section with umbrellas that is lovely for a sunny morning. The menu is original and fresh, I've never been disappointed in anything I've ever eaten here. Plenty of Vegetarian options. My 9 year old son LOVES the pancakes. Everything I have had here has been good. The pancakes are enormous. I love that I can order a chicken sandwich at 7am if breakfast doesn't sound good. Service is always quick and friendly. While driving through what locals call "The Valley," I noticed the large new sign for Michael's A.M. and decided we should give it a try. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The patio area was clean and inviting, and the inside was equally spotless. We were quickly seated, and our server, Charles, greeted us almost immediately. He was friendly, attentive, and told us he inherited his beautiful blue eyes from his mother--a fun little conversation that made us smile. My friend ordered the Strawberry Crêpes, which were soft and filled with fresh strawberries, topped with a rich cream sauce and generous whipped cream. She absolutely loved them. I went in a savory direction and ordered the Reuben sandwich with house-made chips. The sandwich was delicious--grilled rye bread piled with corned beef and sauerkraut. I especially appreciated that the Thousand Island dressing was served on the side, allowing me to add as much or as little as I wanted. The chips were freshly made, although they were seasoned with an onion-flavored seasoning that wasn't quite to my taste. I would have preferred simple salt, but that's purely personal preference. My husband ended up enjoying the leftover chips when I brought them home! One thing that stood out was Charles's attention to detail. When I packed up half of my sandwich, he even offered a separate container for the extra Thousand Island dressing. It was a small gesture, but very thoughtful. The restaurant was busy with people of all ages, and there seemed to be plenty of staff to keep things running smoothly. The menu is available all day, so you can enjoy breakfast or lunch whenever you visit--which I assume is the inspiration behind the "A.M." name. I noticed several menu favorites being recommended, including their quiche, Eggs Benedict, and vegetarian options. They're open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and most meals appear to fall in the $10-$20 range per person. We took a chance on a restaurant we'd never visited before, and I'm so glad we did. I'm waiting for it to arrive. 12:41 my platter of cod over onions and spinach with fresh fruit just arrived. First thing I noticed was a fishy odor so I'm not excited about that but we shall see. their fresh fruit bowl had 8 different fruits --all fresh that's why I eat here. So I'm diving into very hot onions and spinach very tasty and the right temperature --tartar sauce accompanies this dish and has to be homemade as it has lots of chunks of pickles in it and it's rather tasty as well. Server JENN was very attentive and very pleasant throughout my visit offered me a diet Dr Pepper to go, presented my bill, didn't rush me and wished me a happy Fourth of July. There's not much more you can ask of a restaurant during lunch. I got it all. I haven't been to Medina except one other time this year so I'm gonna have to make some plans to return and so should you.
