My favorite brunch location in town! The veggie Benedict is the best, in my humble opinion, but you can't really go wrong with anything. My husband loves the chili. (Edit: Since my original review, the chili recipe has changed and my husband no longer likes it... please bring back the old recipe! He complains every time I want to eat there now.) The service staff is really nice, but there is one server that I get often that isn't very good. She is forgetful and slow, but I don't mind because the food is so good. I've been told that Valley Cafe's shrimp and grits was the best in the state, so I decided to stop in and give it a try. I was stepping way out of my comfort zone, as I generally do not like grits. These were definitely the exception! The whole dish was absolutely amazing. I could've probably drank the cheese sauce out of a cup. It was light yet extremely flavorful and delicious. Also, the shrimp were HUGE! I was so full and happy by the time I was done! The cafe itself has such a cute, lovely atmosphere, and the service was so friendly. Plus, they make a bomb Bloody Mary. It's different. Looks like a Diner, or even a Hamburger place, back in the day. But now it's eclectic...part Diner, part breakfast nook and gourmet haunt. Once I went through the front entrance, felt like I was transported into a Hallmark movie. It has a unique charm. The Wild Mushroom Ravioli was scrumptious. With only one piece of garlic toast, it had amazing flavor. There were two things I would add. I wanted a salad with my dinner. A small red leaf salad with vinaigrette, would have complimented this meal. Freshly grated Parmesan Cheese would have been a terrific final touch to the ravioli. The Server was especially enthusiastic. I appreciated his energy and enthusiasm. He told us the history of the Cafe. He helped me to decide on the entree. There were 3 Vegetarian entree options on the menu. Bravo! This is not fancy, but the food is. And don't forget to enjoy the dog paintings on the wall! They complete this Cafe's charm. read more

First time visitor here, my daughter brought me for my birthday. They serve breakfast till 3, so I ordered breakfast. 2 eggs, bacon and 1 blueberry pancake. First of all, the pancake was delicious! And huge! I'm not exaggerating, it filled the large dinner plate! Next, the bacon was perfect! It tasted great, and was the perfect crispness, seriously so good!! I really like the valley café. From the decor on the walls to the open ceiling, is very trendy place. The food always seems to be spot on. Their pancakes are huge and I really like their hash brown seasoning. However, it might not be fore everyone. My wife thinks it is a bit strong. This place is always packed and has the appearance of a long wait, but I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get a table. That is even during the Sunday church crowd. I've never had a bad meal here. This is a great spot if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch meal. read more

One of my favorite places. Right in the heart of downtown Wadsworth. A quaint almost unnoticeable Cafe sits on the main corner of town. The signage for the establishment is fine. If you look, it's quite visible. But, it blends in to its surroundings and you forget it's there. I have been past here many times never taking notice. However by chance one day, I was walking in that area and stumbled upon it. This place is rather large inside. Reminds me of an old time diner with a more updated feel. Very warm and inviting. The staff treat you like an old friend. The interior is clean and well kept. The food is what home cooking is all about. Comfort foods, made daily, large portions and super yummy. I can't say enough good things about this place! I love it! Breakfast is awesome! If you like a little kick get their sausage gravy and biscuits. My husband loves their breakfast burritos. Great place in the center of Wadsworth when you are on the fence between getting breakfast or lunch. We enjoyed their breakfast sandwiches, and their pancakes live up to their billing of being ginormous...it covered my entire plate! They also offer a wide variety of omelettes, sandwiches and more. The entire staff was super pleasant and there was indoor and outdoor dining available with easy parking. We stopped here for breakfast on a recommendation. This is a wonderful place. I had corn beef hash with scrambled eggs, potatoes and wheat toast. Their take on the dish is very very good. Scott Z was always available and had perfect timing to refill coffee cups. The pecan roast coffee was flavorful and aromatic. The restaurant was crowded but they handled the morning rush with ease. Valley Cafe took over the space downtown that was previously occupied by numerous cafes throughout the 15+ years I've lived in Wadsworth. To someone just passing by, the Valley Cafe might not seem much different from those dingy or short-lived cafe and sandwich spots that came before. But it is. The Valley Cafe is only open from 7 AM to 3 PM and its menu features breakfast and lunch classics with a list of daily specials. It's not uncommon for the daily specials to sell out before close. My family had eaten at the cafe several times before I finally gave it a try. They had been raving about the quality of the food. I admit, I was skeptical because the food offerings are really weak in Wadsworth. The Valley Cafe was such a great surprise. The first time I came, I had the deluxe corned beef hash and eggs, featuring corned beef over eggs and hashbrowns and tossed with peppers, onions, and cheddar cheese. I ordered my eggs over easy, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My meal was delicious. The corned beef is seasoned in house and because the Valley Cafe doesn't cut corners, the food is all the better. Service was fast and friendly. I was also impressed with the renovations. I remember that this spot was always kind of dark and gloomy, but some fresh paint and upgraded lighting have made the Valley Cafe a much more welcoming environment. Today, I decided to try the Reuben because I am obviously a slut for corned beef. I upgraded chips to fries. This meal was also very impressive--and I'm pretty picky about reubens. Everything tasted fresh and the ingredients were clearly high quality. For both breakfast and lunch, the Valley Cafe is a much-needed addition to Wadsworth's lackluster restaurant scene. It was my birthday and my family wanted to take me somewhere local. We recently moved to Wadsworth and I had not been to the Valley Café. We decided to stop by and have breakfast, we sat on the patio which was nice the menu was really nice, they had a lot of choices. I ordered the corn beef hash, which was definitely not what I was used to, and not very tasty. A hunk of lunchmeat covered with hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were nice and crispy and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The coffee was terrible. Overall not my greatest experience, but my family all enjoyed their breakfast very much. The owner met me at the door and was very personable. Once he knew I was a first time patron, he enlightened me with some brief history of the place and what it's all about. Quality food - meals made in house from local meats and produce. I ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits with 2 eggs on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly. Great diner in a friendly small town environment. The breakfast burritos smothered in gravy were fantastic. The waitress was very friendly and the hostess got us a nice table on the patio so our dogs could join us. They brought water for the dogs and overall this place had wonderful hospitality. You would expect, on a corner in a small suburb, a decent restaurant but not great... WRONG! We have been here many many times and I try something different EVERY time I stop in! Literally have yet to repeat. My favorite is still the one first Friday they had pork belly sliders for the special and I tried it just out of a mood... AMAZING!!! The pancakes are nice and large (my oldest daughters oft chosen) and the eggs are always spot on... We used to love eating here as they had vegan options on their menu. They recently took them off and there is nothing to eat on their menu if you're vegan. They had a vegan sandwich and a vegan ravioli. The ravioli is still showing on their menu, but they didn't even have the decency to cover it with a sticker or anything. Instead you sit there thinking that there's something for you to eat until the waiter comes over and tells you differently. Vegans are people too and deserve to have something on there. Meat is not everything and is horrible for you to eat all the time. Therefore, no matter what, every menu should have vegan options. I don't understand why it's so hard when you use rice, beans, and vegetable in the other dishes. You should be able to a piece of each menu item and put it together to make a good vegan dish. read more
