I am not a fan of going to the dentist. But after years of neglecting to do so, I had a bike accident and broke my front tooth. I found Dr. Satish and this office and he did an amazing job to save enough of the tooth and expertly place a crown. Since then I have done lots of work with him and find him kind, a joy to talk to, and his staff professional. Recently had him do major work on my front teeth and I am extremely happy with my new smile - never really thinking I'd ever have a smile this nice. Bottom of the barrel dentistry. Too much to write in one review. 1. Sometimes there are barriers on equipment and sometimes not. VERY SCARY. He adjusted the lamp many times and it wasn't covered one visit. I was wondering about his fingers being in the mouths of previous patients , adjusting the lamp, fingers back into my mouth and got FREAKED OUT. Another time the assistant touched the keyboard (that had no barrier protection)and I asked her what cavities I had again. Without changing gloves she put her fingers in my mouth to check!!! I was stunned. I should've asked her to put knew gloves on. Wiping keyboards doesn't get between the keys. God knows what is there. 2. He Lectures patients if you cancel. I canceled to get my crown on until my tooth was repaired from a root canal by my endo and stopped hurting. Should I have had my crown put on a painful tooth? He lectured me in the chair during my next visit. I told him I couldn't get my crown on until the pain was gone!!! 3. Just had a cleaning by Kelly who is the only good thing about that place. After the cleaning he filled two prior cavities I had. He never informed me if I had new ones after my cleaning. I still have no idea if I have new cavities from my 2-14-18 cleaning. I was so stupid to keep going back but it was so close to my house and I hate driving far to go to a dentist. I should've spoken up. I finally wrote him a letter stating in detail my feelings about being lectured about him losing money when people cancel and their lack of consistency with protective barriers. No response. The girl Vicki at the desk is always nice. She and Kelly the hygienist are great. Other than that, I will never step foot in that place again. It's scary because some people don't know any better. I know what is supposed to be covered and what is supposed to be wiped in a dental office. There weren't even sleeves on the drills and water lines that go in your mouth. I was so stupid not to speak up when I was in the chair. This is your health! Never going back there again. I'm a professional and don't need to be lectured and I don't want unsanitary conditions. How do I know if that lamp was wiped???? Wiping isn't enough in my opinion. There should have been a barrier on the lamp and the computer mouse and keyboard. I know that barrier sleeves and covers are expensive, but too bad. All reputable dentists offices use them on EVERYTHING. Oh yeah, and then those two cavities he filled on 2-14-18? I cannot get floss through the side of the tooth he filled. MOST DENTISTS CHECK AFTER TO SEE IF FLOSS CAN GET THROUGH. I won't go back to him to have that fixed. I'd rather pay a new dentist. Also, read the reviews that "are not recommended" because that will give you the big picture. read more

We have come here for all of my children's dental needs. The doctor is Amazing with kids. Appearently my youngest got a few small cavities because she likes to hold her juice in her mouth before swollowing, and they were able to calm her nerves and walk her through the fillings with amazing skill. What a pain free Wonderful Experience! This Dr. was spot on in every area. The first consult was a real eye opener! I thought I was destined for dentures. Dr Satich examed me and I was thrilled to discover I needed crowns and still had healthy teeth!!! He truly cares about his patients in every aspect. We discussed several options and different costs. He accommodated me in every area. Amazing! I needed deep cleaning because I never flossed. Have gotten 3 crowns so far that actually match my teeth color Perfectly! The best part is you get your permanent crown on the same day. No temps or mismatched colors. His staff truly care about you, too. Everyone is so friendly! I don't want to rate because you can't give 0 stars. 1 is too many. Pulling a tooth and knocking out my fillings in another tooth. Foegiveable. I was told to call if I was still in pain for a pain rx...only the lady that answered the phone told me that I had dry socket (no...I don't) and I needed to come in immediately. I told her that the "Dr" knocked my fillings out and was rough with me, she says she will ask for the prescription and call it in to my pharmacy. Which never happened. I got to the dentist for her to repair what she broke and I get a call while I'm in route where a message was left saying the dentist will be 40 minutes late. Eff this place. read more

BEWARE! The worst chairside manner I ever experienced. I wanted to run out of there. Apparently Dr. Satish has never heard of soft teeth or any other condition that would deteriorate teeth at a young age. It HAD to be my diet, or some other thing I was doing wrong. He put me on the spot several times asking me what I ate and asking me to explain my situation. The only reason I went there was because I was recommended this practice for the low prices. But I would rather pay double or more for quality care. Went to an EXCELLENT dentist in Naperville that I have been going to for years. He is compassionate and has explained to me that soft teeth do poorly under crowns. Plain and simple. The crowns will be replaced by implants. I should have never ever seeked to save by going to this office. The most unfriendly dentist I have encountered. read more

I have done deep cleaning and some fillings at Valley Dental care. Dr Satish is a very good dentist. He does not recommend procedures unless absolutely necessary. He does put patient first. Dr. Satish Gottumukkula is very personable. He puts you at ease and educates you on your treatment. He has always greeted me with a smile and handshake. He has done cleanings to now my 2nd crown. His work has been great and I have bee satisfied with my results. I have never felt rushed. He has always taken the time to answer all my questions. His staff has been friendly on each visit. Office area is clean and always something new each time I've been in there. I would like a little "warmer" feeling in the patient lounge area while waiting for my appointment, but haven't had to wait for than five minutes until they have brought me back for my scheduled appointment. read more

When living in Aurora, I found Dr. Satish to be the best.....after previously patronizing other dentists in Aurora. After moving to Chicago. I still drive there for dental work. I have not been able to find another dentist that is as good and trustworthy as Dr. Satish. I have a friend who moved to Cicero and she has not been able to find another dentist to replace Dr, Satish either. Prices are fair and they take insurance. Dr. Satish did a great job on my teeth I had really bad pain due to wisdom teeth and after the removal I have no pain and its only been 12 hours! Valley Dental Care is top notch! I just conducted an in-service there going over how to be compliant when it comes to infection prevention and they passed with flying colors! TERRIBLE. Went in for a simple cleaning. Ended up getting two cavity fillings. Dr. Aparna Gottumukkula gave me two cavity fillings that were too high and it thfew off my bite. This gave me TMD. I have been suffering so much physically and financially since. If there is one thing I regret in my life, it's walking through their doors. Worst dentist I have ever been too in my life. On top of their terrible dentistry, the staff is very unprofessional and could care less about your well being, but all that could be over looked if they didn't turn my life up side down after giving me TMD. I had to switch dentists due to loss of private insurance. This was the only reputable dentist in the area (according to reviews I researched) that would take our temporary medicaid insurance. The website and online forms were user friendly and I was looking forward to taking my children since it has been about a year that they had their last cleaning. Unfortunately, I left disappointed. At one point during the visit, an assistant assumed I only spoke Spanish and called me back in Spanish. New to the medicaid system, I have come to realize that is common anywhere I go. When I got home, my sister in law, a dental assistant, asked how the visit went. I told her I was not sure since I was not asked to go back in the room until after the "cleaning" was complete. My kids (7 & 9) told their aunt that they did not have their teeth cleaned with tools only with a machine. My sister in law proceeded to explain that using the "machine" only polishes the teeth and that a Hygienist or a Dentist should have scraped the tarter off with an instrument before polishing. I am disappointed that my children were not given a proper cleaning. I can only assume it is due to the state dental coverage. Once our insurance coverage changes back to private coverage I will immediately be moving my children out of this office. read more
