Also, they schedule particular types of appointments during certain times of the day which do not always work for everyone's schedules. It would be nice if the office was more accommodating for the clientele they cater too which is mostly school-aged children and working parents. Maybe have 1 night they are open later or be open on Fridays as well. Just keep this in mind when you look for orthodonitists.

Well, 6 months after my son's braces were off his jaw line changed. My son went through puberty and his whole jaw shifted(elongated). His teeth are nice and straight but his bite is completely off. Would highly recommend waiting til your children are near puberty for braces. Went to a different ortho for my 3rd son and they waited until he was 16 yrs old to put him in braces.

I made my way to Associated Orthodontists in August 2015 when I was 38 years old. Since 2010 I had…read morea history of "TMJ," or at least that was what I was told I had by multiple dentists, TMJ specialists, and other dentists. My symptoms were pretty much constant pain in my face, teeth, left eye, left ear, headaches, and neck pain. My bite had also opened in the front about 5 mm and my teeth no longer touched except on my back left molars. My lower jaw had also moved "back" towards my airway creating a significant overjet of my top teeth. I could no longer bite through foods, and just chewing was extremely difficult. I decided to schedule yet another consult because my gut was telling me there was something seriously not right, and this was not just TMJ. I met with Dr. Scott Soderquist and he reviewed the panoramic xrays while listening to my history of the past 5 years. I will never forget the moment he said, "I know what you have," and said I was textbook for Idiopathic Condylar Resorption; basically a severe inflammatory disease process that eats the part of the lower jaw that seats into the upper jaw. He explained that I would need to see an oral & maxillofacial surgeon, as this condition required braces to first align the teeth prior to surgery, then surgery to realign the jaws into a normal bite, and the braces after surgery to "tweak" the teeth into their final position. It was just over a year in braces before I was ready for surgery. I needed both upper and lower jaw surgery to realign my bite, and could get a little neurotic from time to time in anticipation as the date drew closer. Dr. Scott always took the time to answer all my questions, which I really appreciated. Everyone at Associated was always very informative, and just above all, kind , which I appreciated so much! I honestly don't know where I'd be today if I hadn't gone to Associated Ortho. I went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for so long... I had my surgery in February of '17, braces came off in July of '17, and my teeth and bite look amazing! More importantly, I feel amazing and am functioning as I should be. Dr. Scott is an amazing orthodontist; he is meticulous with his work, (my surgeons mentioned multiple times that they were very impressed with some of the things he was able to accomplish,) intelligent, and also a nice person...I'd give Associated Ortho way more stars if I could!

Before they…read morewere removed, I expressed concern MULTIPLE times about one side of my mouth not making tooth contact when I bit down and the orthodontist was extremely dismissive and basically told me I was SOL because there was nothing more they were going to do about it and I was forced to get my braces off. That was the entire main reason I got braces in the first places. I also mentioned that my teeth seemed angled and like it was uneven when comparing right to left. I had them during Covid which extended my treatment time, and I'm pretty sure they wanted to get me out ASAP since they were no longer making money off of me. My issue with my teeth is still here today (before you ask, no, my teeth haven't moved) and I will likely need further orthodontic work to get it corrected which will entail thousands more dollars for an issue I was told would be fixed when I got my braces here nearly 8 years ago. I am experiencing increased wear on certain teeth from only making contact on one side of my mouth and it is already causing issues that are only going to get worse. Empty promises and poor results.

First, this location is only open one day a week. ONE day? Next, they have very nice staff. However, they have you download an app called Dolphin to help with future communications and never answered any of our questions through the app. When I finally was able to call the other location to clear up why, she said we needed to call the Shorewood location ( but again its only open ONE day). We were never contacted. We had to call to make a follow-up appointment. My husband had JUST finished his second failed refinement with the other provider. He was told he will now need $6500 ADDITIONAL work!!!!!!! This is no fault of Innovative Orthodontic. But, I will update after transferring his case. **Make sure you get any Invisalign done by Certified/Licensed Orthodontists. Apparently there are NO Orthodontists on staff at Invisalign... if a regular DDS wants to take a 4 hour class, they can then dispense Invisalign and treat patients. This is NOT comparable to the YEARS of training an Orthodontist like the very qualified specialists at Innovative go through!!

Upon meeting Dr. Ibrahim, I knew we were in the right place. She gave off those warm and fuzzies. In addition to being extremely caring, she was attentive to my boys and explained in detail possible treatment and outcomes. Fast forward almost a year later and my sons smile and bite has changed dramatically. My other son is also about to start treatment as I totally trust Dr. I and her staff. After explaining that I had some questions, the answer was that if it was in the advertisement is was "most likely correct" (pay rate) and no explanation about a part time position with a work week of 58-72 hours/week???? The explanation of the treatment plan, expected length of time the braces would be on, symptoms to expect, and how to prevent problems were very clear. It was easy for the teenager and I to stay on the same page, and there were no unexpected problems. We had an insurance change midway through the treatment, and the office corrected the information and got the right bills to the right places seamlessly. We paid monthly, so the treatment was affordable. Appointment scheduling was easy and convenient, and they have evening hours so my daughter was able to go on her own after school. I left a couple voicemails during the two year process, and got replies the next business day. As the date neared to have her braces removed, we got a call that a slot opened, so she got her braces removed ten days ahead of schedule. Every person at the office was professional and good at listening. Lastly, the celebratory bag of popcorn and sticky candy, and other things she couldn't eat with braces, presented to her the day her braces were removed was a pleasant surprise.
