5 stars! Dr. Honey was excellent on pulling my teeth. She was great on working with me on money I had left on my insurance. Dr, Honey was very considerate trying not to hurt me while I did have 5 teeth pulled and stitches. I had a hard time understanding Dr. Honey, she is soft spoken and has an accent, plus I'm deaf in one ear which didn't help. Olivia was excellent on explaining for the doc on what I needed done, options and what the cost was. After I left I did have to go back. I was having a problem with the temporary partial. They got me right in. I was nervous because I was bleeding and temp partial wouldn't stay in. Olivia was calm and assuring, was great on working with the rest of the team getting the temporary partial to fit correctly. From the front counter people and all the staff in the back were all efficient and pleasant. I had the teeth pulled a few weeks ago. Everything is healing fine and pain I was getting before I had my teeth pulled is gone. If you hate a trip to the dentist, go to Valley Dental. My first visit wasn't bad had a filling second visit I left in tears tasting my own blood after like 10 shots of lidocaine and still feeling them drilling into my tooth and they didn't stop until I started moving cuz I couldn't handle it. My filling now is all gross doesn't matter how many times I brush. It's actually effecting all my teeth. Never again will ever I go there again and not to mention the doctor and one of the nurses were too busy talking about their hair than doing my filling while I was in tears. I would like to file a complaint against Dr. [Honey] from [valley dental ]. I am currently pregnant and sought dental care, but I was denied service solely because I had posted a negative review about a prior visit.One of their staff members yelled at me, so I left the clinic. They also insisted that I delete my review, claiming that they did nothing wrong. I believe this conduct is unethical and may constitute professional misconduct under New York State law. Denying necessary medical treatment due to a personal disagreement, especially to a pregnant patient, may put patient health at risk and violates the standards of the profession. I am requesting that this matter be investigated. Leaving a review is a customer's right, in my opinion. I believe they should have handled it professionally. read more

The office manager quoted me $550 for a flapper implant. When I got there to get my implant all of a sudden it was $600!! I gave them the card that had $550 written on it, yet they still charged me $600. Every time Ive tried to call and talk to the Office Manager about this, she's never available! They take you back late, then rush to get you out fast. I went in for a filling that had fallen out and was given a followup for only a cleaning. My friend went in for fillings and they didn't listen when she said it hurt. They told her to stop shaking when the pain had her trembling, and told her to stop crying when she started tearing up and hyperventilating from the procedure. After wards we were pulled into the managers office and it was explained why the procedure went wrong. Our problem wasn't with the procedure, but with the lack of professionalism when confronted with a patient in visible, clear distress. I highly do not recommend this practice if you're looking for care that won't potentially traumatized you. The staff need to be trained in managing patients in distress with compassion. Not demanding they stop crying when it was clear from the first attempt at drilling that they were in a lot of pain. read more

Several bad experiences with this dentist and the staff is extremely unprofessional. Literally every time I call the receptionist answers and says please hold, then proceeds to leave me on hold for more than 5 minutes at a time. I understand that sometimes offices are busy but every single time? Ever hear of a dentist office with no dental hygienist on staff? Me either. She was soooo rude to me on the day of extraction I had to call her out front of the whole team. She kept calling me sweetie and would say something negative right after! Im not 5 years old don't call me sweetie! Then she said if I can't calm down she will send me to someone else. Lady you just took the filling out of that tooth exposed my nerve and you want to send me to someone else?? Long story short she didn't numb me enough! She knew I can't deal with drills just sound and feeling of it would make my skin crawl! So I was anxious and I kept wincing because I could feel everything still and she's about to pull my tooth! Once I called her out told her to stop calling me sweetie she gave me another shot ROUGHLY and pulled my tooth in 20 seconds. I have not gone to the dentist in seven years because I have not lived anywhere where my insurance was accepted within an hour and a half radius. Finally I find Valley dental. I go in obviously nervous the receptionist are very friendly which calms me down. Then I go in and get x-rays and the woman who did it was very friendly. However the dentist was terrible. She doesn't even greet me. Walks up ask how long it's been since I've been to the dentist I tell her and she doesn't hear me because she's standing behind me and talking to the back of my head so she turns to her dental assistant and says what did she say. As if wasn't even there. Then she said I had a couple cavities and she asked if I eat every single day. I said no I do not eat candy every day. condescending tone and she questions again you don't eat candy every day? Mind you I originally went because I cracked a tooth. She says to me well we're probably gonna have to pull that tooth out then since your insurance won't cover a root canal. I did in fact call insurance and dental quest to confirm that a root canal is in fact covered on that specific tooth.It was just a horrible awful worst case scenario experience with the nastiest woman dentist I've ever met. I went to Valley Dental in February of this year. Had x-rays done. They scheduled me to have work done but wouldn't tell me what the work was when I called and asked, they said "you just have work that needs to be done scheduled." Went in to have the work done. They said I have cavities in the teeth labeled #12 and #13. These teeth were in near perfect shape with no pain or sensitivity. Honey did root canals on each, then fillings. She did a super shotty, horrible job. My teeth were grinded down so much and it felt like she just slapped spackle over them for the fillings. They felt rough, and are now sensitive to cold. She also billed my insurance for two white glass crowns that they never did. I went to a different dentist recently and he said I need two crowns on #12 and #13. Asked who did the work because they are both cracked and need repair. Thanks Valley dental. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you need dental work done. I want to give 0 stars but I can't , not only do I think there the reason my teeth started falling out at an accelerated rate the dentist I had told me she was disappointed I "wasn't brushing my teeth ". I was infact brushing my teeth I also that cycle vomiting syndrome and I have at least one episode a month. They had me have over 8 root canals I don't even know if those were needed, my guess is they probably wer. On my first appointment I had also begged for dentures because I knew that my teeth were deteriorating faster than my peers they refused and had me have the root canals. I have never had such a negative and impersonal experience going to a dentist. Obviously with COVID still being a thing it has been a struggle to get in to see a dentist at all. The hygienist are wonderful and patient with the children for cleanings and proactive care, however Honey Ohja belongs in a hospital or somewhere where she can complete dental care in a conveyor belt style. The firs time I went in the came into the area (all of the chairs are in an open arena with absolutely no privacy), and she mumbled under her breath introducing herself. I had to ask her to repeat herself because she said it so quietly and quickly. She was present for approximately 2 minutes and advised what the plan of care was and that was to have the insurance approve a root canal. Fast forward to the day I come in for the root canal and she immediately shoves these injections in my face that was incredibly painful. She then proceeds to begin the root canal process that she completed within 15 minutes. During the procedure she continued to command that I keep my mouth open and to remain still. The assistant was also spoken to several times in a demeaning manner which I did not appreciate. There were 2 times that I almost vomited because of the residue or whatever it was going in the back of my throat, in which she yelled at me again saying that I ended to remain still in order for the procedure to go smoothly. She hardly put a filling in the tooth that was broken and the tooth still feels broken and painful. This is not the first root canal that I have had and this is not how things are supposed to go. I will not be allowing this woman to go in my mouth again, nor will she ever touch my children's teeth. I am also a care manager and will not be recommending any of my clients to see this practice due to the unprofessional and conveyer belt style business. read more

I was scheduled for a tooth extraction but instead Dr. Honey did the root canal instead. I had my root canal done before and took at least 45 mins to 1 hour. But took Dr. Honey less than 30 mins which is bad. I came home experienced sensitivity every time I drink anything hot and when I brush my teeth. I called to follow up with her, she said oh your tooth probably infected. She was clueless and totally ignored my concerns and rushed me out. Please don't go there you will come home with new problems. They really need a new dentist there. read more

RUN RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN. THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!!!! This dentist and office staff are the absolute worst! I have been trying to get a partial completed gift over a year now ! I am on "2nd TEMPORARY " because the first one never fit too loose and I was forced to wear that or go without teeth for months and months having to fly out of my mouth if I sneezed or coughed or ate anything ! I even wine down there once and blew up on the office because no body would call back . I use to sing and that hasn't been able to happen because my teeth don't fit /fall out Etc. Also this dentist herself had told me I needed to pull 2 teeth for this partial of which I thought was strange because I never had a problem with them but went along with the professional had them pulled . This was after they scheduled me to have them pulled in her office had written me for an Rx for Xanax to take the night before and that morning of which I did, to get there and have them tell me they can't do it because I have implants next to the teeth and she didn't want to damage them . GIRL you knew I had implants because you took X-rays ... gave me medication for NO REASON to tell me I had to then wait to find an oral surgeon which ended up being an hour away and 3 weeks more later !! Then I had a filling break and went in to have it fixed to have her tell me once again "2" teeth needed to be pulled that one and the one next to it . Odd to me again. I decided to get a second opinion to find out yup just a cavity no teeth needing to be pulled SCAM AND A SCAB this dentist and office I called yesterday to demand a refund as I had to pay $350 for this partial of which I still don't have and was promised a call back that day from office Manager. Guess what... no call back. I called just now and was left on hold for 10 min I hung up. I still don't have my teeth or a refund so I can go somewhere else. the good reviews of this place literally have to be fake. i work in corrections as a nurse, and we take better care of our damn inmates then this place takes care of their patients. 100% i have never in my life had such a terrible expirience. it is impossible to find a dentist to do work with state insurance. however this place was willing. dr honey runs around like a rag doll, administering "care" to three patients at a time. she is rude as hell too. she crushes your eye balls and pinches your lips but thats not even it. i come in there with an issue and she wants to follow whatever plan she has. she also will not tell me the plan. i actually demanded she tell me. i asked her to look at my bite before i left at the very first root canal she did cause i have flossed cavities and stuff out of my teeth before and i could feel it was really high and there was a crack. she very sarcasticlly had me sit back and shaved my teeth so low and aggresively that there was a chip on the outside of that tooth real bad from the file she used. i receieved absolutley no instructions. shit, no one even told me i was having a root canal that day. no one explained when i could eat or drink. so i go home, and im like well let me call and ask. they answer and tell me to hang on, place me on hold; pick up and hang up. now they have done this to me dozens and dozens of times before previous to this root canal because i had an infection. she must of ran me on 8 courses of antobiotics. she saw me on a "recheck" for each one of those 10-14 day scripts and NEVER EVEN LOOKED IN MY MOUTH. and i mean dozens of times. i at one point had to call daily to try and get them to manage it. i eventually went to my pcp and he told me to go in there and start screaming cause it was emergent. so i ended up getting the tooth pulled because this women would not run it through my insurance. i would call they would say that they did, and then they would not call back so id call in 2 weeks and then theyd say "oh my goodness it looks like no one ran it through" jesus we prob did this for 12 weeks. and i kid you not, EIGHT courses of antobiotics in the mean time. while in my mouth, dr honey is not even looking as she is filing the root and pulp out my damn tooth and her hygenists is showing her a whole x ray of a different patient just over my head. i seen that dudes entire mouth, his inplants and everything. her hygenists are making fun of a young gentlemen who obviously had a disability, they were better than him cause he had anxiety. like i should not even know that . she then runs from me to give me a "break" and runs between three other patients. she talked so much shit to me about my teeth. like "why should we care about them now" i said, look i have a whole medical condition that causes my mouth to remain pretty dry so my teeth didnt make out well. i brush and i floss and seem to do more damage that way but well whatever. but now the dentist is literally talking shit to the hygenist while in my mouth about the dude whose x ray is on the light board above my head. also the palm of her hand is compressing the glasses they make you wear INTO my eye socket. i reached to grab them off and shes yelling at me for moving but i am literally seeing stars and entering a different dimension because of her hand compressing my eye. But seriously when i give an inmate a damn mucinex, i educate him and tell him to drink a ton of water so the medication can work effectively. i walked out of a root canal and got a new appt for another one, without one piece of instruction NOT EVEN A PIECE OF PAPER. and i just want to say, that she did my rootcanal, the second one, they did not give me instructions again, i am pretty sure they were supposed to run me on another round of antobiotics but they conveniently forgot. i dont have the energy to call them three days in a row. and the entire thing fell apart as soon as i bit into a piece of POP CORN. literally, one piece, no kernal jsut foamy goodness and some broken teeth. this women is working alone with hugenists and assistants and she is prob taking more pts than any other dentist with one doc. she is doing extremely uneccesary work. shes ruining peoples smiles, peoples warm energy. i dont think she actually cares about anyones smile or feelings. people like these guys dont belong anywhere near the medical field. and the front desk is JUST AS BAD. all in all, if i could take stars away and put this place on black list of businesss, this one is prob number one. read more

Friendly staff but the person taking the X-rays was rough and it was painful. It was obvious she was trying to rush through it and I felt compelled to just grin and bear it. The X-rays proved useless anyways because they couldn't see any cavities which was the whole impetus for me going to them. The dentist (an Indian woman, I can't recall her name) said she didn't see any cavities and I explained to her that while flossing the floss would catch on the cavities. She was adamant that I had zero cavities and didn't even look in my mouth! I went to a different dentist after one cavity started to get really painful when I brushed. I'm not thrilled with this place, tbh. I went because they got me in quickly and take my insurance (Fidelis medicaid, hard to find places that take it sometimes). I went in and got the x-rays, the Dr came in and looked for two seconds and said "we're gonna do extractions and partials" and I was like "??? okay..." so they shuffled me off to get an appointment, and she made me an appointment for fillings and extractions. I knew I needed some fillings so I didn't think much of it. I went and she did them on my FRONT TEETH which are some of the only teeth I have that don't have serious apparent issues! she didn't touch any of the ones with serious visually apparent cavities or breaks! And to make things worse, she left a bunch of the filling amalgam on the backs of my teeth and it's incredibly messy and uncomfortable. I'll now have to go to a different dentist to see if they can file down the mess she made and give me a more complete look at what the dental plan is so I can approve before they start doing whatever she feel like WITHOUT consulting me! When the girl first brought me back and said what was happening I was incredibly confused and had to have her explain it multiple times because none of what she said was what was discussed. I should have said no and walked out but I was so confused I didn't think to leave. I'm canceling my appointment for next week. My advice? Go somewhere else!! read more
