This is the first time I think we have reviewed while still in the office. We are visiting for a endo treatment that was previously scheduled. It first started with an overcharge for an evaluation. The moment insurance caught wind, the account had a credit. Secondly, my husband received multiple calls and texts to "confirm" his appearance at the appointment. These all requested for us to arrive "early" for the scheduled and confirmed appointment. We show up on-time for the appointment, check in with front desk. They accept payment and tell him to sit. Actual appointment time comes and goes.. it's is now 45 minutes AFTER scheduled appt. Ask how much longer & then inform it will be another 15-20 minutes!!! Understand they did not called back for the treatment until a HOUR after the scheduled appointment. No one said at any point that the staff was running so far behind. When we checked a simple "treatment time is running xx amount of time behind" would have easily gone from 0 stars to atleast 2-3.. just based off communication!!! I am recommending that our regular dentist avoid referring any patients to this location. They incorrectly overcharge for treatment and then make you wait for ridiculous amount of time before treatment. They shouldn't request early arrival if they can't hold up their end of the bargain and begin work promptly for a scheduled appointment. Disregard for HIPPA... The way they have their lobby set up creates a set of front row seats for patients to hear to everything the receptionist says about your treatment and payment. About four people knew exactly what I was getting done and how much I paid for it before I even sat down in their lobby that day. Rude surgeon... The surgeon showed up for the last 3 minutes of the one hour consultation appointment I had waited months for. As soon as I expressed my fear about proceeding with surgery, he dismissed me entirely. I asked if this biopsy would be anything like a different biopsy I had in the past, he ignored me and asked if I had "diabetes or something". I never got answers and I can't imagine trusting someone like that with a procedue involving full anesthesia. Poor communication... After calling twice to make sure the insurance had gone through and the account was paid up, I was reassured I had no balance. Until I received a text notice months later about an overdue balance. I received no calls, no emails, nothing at all to indicate that I had a balance. When I called about this, they informed me that they had known about it for over a month, but that I now have 30 days to pay it. I won't ever be going back. read more

I had three wisdom teeth removed today. The first nurse couldn't successfully place the IV and seemed to need more practice. She was also over confident despite struggling, and I would have preferred that she wear gloves during the whole procedure. read more

I met with Dr. McNamara after I woke up with a swollen face 2 days prior. Instead of writing a huge long story, here are the highlights: Upon the first 15 seconds of introductions, she was aggravated at me because I asked her to be very gentle as I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and it was hitting on two branches of my face. She said, 'Do you want me to examine you or NOT?' After and brief and painful exam, she couldn't tell what tooth it was so she ordered a 360 xray. When the XRay popped up behind me, instead of talking to me, or addressing me, she just talked to her assistant and said, 'ohhhhh, wow, that's REALLY bad.' When she did turn around she said, 'okay, I'll give you antibiotics, but I may not be able to save the tooth anyway when I work on that. Do you get that? I may pull it anyway.' When the infection was under control, she would do the work. I said okay, it was Thursday and maybe I'd be better next week. I asked her to prescribe me 3 or 4 pain pills until the antibiotics kicked in. I told her I was in terrible pain. That's when all hell broke loose. Dr. McNamara said, 'NO! I don't prescribe pain medication unless I work on your tooth.' and I said- what!? You just said it was a horrible infection! Obviously I'm in terrible pain! You said yourself it was a horrible infection! Also, I'm obviously not pill seeking! I only want a few until the antibiotic kicked in. The tooth was triggering the TN, and once that stopped I would be in much better shape. Then she looked at me and said, 'You don't like it? Get OUT. You can leave if you don't want me to help you!' I said, 'of course I want you to help me! That's why I'm here.' 'Well, I'm NOT giving you meds.' and I said, 'why are you being that way if you said it was an extremely bad infection?' So that is when she looked at me and said, 'GET OUT. I'm not working on you. You are not my patient. Go find another doctor.' How absurd, because she knew how serious this was and I wasn't going to find a doctor who could see me that fast before the weekend hit. I had even been at Oro Valley Hospital the night before because I was in so much pain. Just from looking at me the ER doctor ordered antibiotics. But by that time we would have had to go across town to an all night pharmacy, and I knew I'd be getting antibiotics early the next day from the dentist. It didn't even occur to me that I was about to meet the most unprofessional doctor I had ever met. She wouldn't even GIVE me the antibiotics when I left, even though my life might be jeopardy. See attached photo for evidence. I had NEVER been treated so unprofessionally in my LIFE. I am going to attach a photo of what I looked like the next day. After not being able to get a Friday appointment, I had to go to Urgent Care. There she apologized that I had such a horrible experience. The doctor also said that it was totally wrong of her for not giving me antibiotics. I was so sick. I think I slept non-stop for two days straight. Once she told me to get out and stomped away like the 13 year old that she was, I called out to her for one more thing. She turned back and I told her that she picked a horrible career for herself because she would never, ever be a good doctor. In fact, she was a total bitch and I let her know it without restraint. Yeah, maybe I could have been a little less colorful, but I was in agony, I was furious, and there were not enough colorful words in the dictionary to describe this nasty beast of a doctor that had earned my verbal creativity. When I met the next doctor I was planning on sitting in their waiting room all day because they didn't have an appointment for 3 weeks. They said they would squeeze me in when possible if I sat in their office until they called me. 15 minutes later they fit me in. The doctor's assessment was Acute Abscess with Cellulitis. I was lucky it didn't yet travel into my blood or spread up to my brain or into my heart. Actually, Dr. McNamara is very lucky it hasn't done that yet either. She should hope an pray I make a full recovery. I did report her to my insurance company. If I were you, I would avoid her, and her practice at all costs. I found it ironic that on her biz card in bold is the word 'Compassionate'. Nope. Not in the slightest. read more

Great work my root canal didnt hurt a bit until after! Took forever to get word back to my dentist for my crown because it was what my dental place recommended. Had the most traumatic experience. My appointment was at 8am. I arrived at 7:35 for paperwork and thing. It took them until 9:20 in the morning to even get me into a room. The nitrogen or "laughing gas" tank didn't work the first time and the second. They just kept running around in and out of the room without telling me anything. The third time they turned it up far too much I was shaking and panicking and nauseous. When the dr went to pull he was far to rough and I was snapped back into sobriety like I wasn't even on nitrous and I was bracing out of the chair shaking. They don't care. I left the office before the procedure because of horrible service from Dr Colorado. I was left in the reclining position for 30 to 45 minutes with just numbing. But, the biggest issue was I wanted to review the diagnosis and treatment plan with her. She literally yelled at me and said "we already went through this and I showed you the x-rays." Just had the worst dental experience of my life. Unfortunately I've had multiple root canals. But none thag have ever had this terrible of an experience. I came in at 215 and my appt was 245. Dr Colorado came in to see me around 325. No big deal however this plays into my later experience. She first asked if I wanted to do a root canal and I was first confused and then laughed thinking she was joking. Why else was I there on referral from my dentist? She never acknowledged being late... no biggie... but she was clearly trying to move my appt. I then told her that my body doesn't absorb Novocain well and that I'll need more than usual. She gave me 3 rounds and I could still feel so much pain. She then inserted a ****ing shot into the source of mg pain and I've never felt such pain at the dentist in my life. She said it was fine and that it'll go away. Then she started working on my tooth and I panicked and asked if it would be numb and she said it would. She was so wrong. She told me to raise my hand if I felt pain. I rose my hand several times yelling in pain and she did nothing!!! She didn't even try to calm me down or acknowledge me. I am fuming thinking about it. When she was finally done she just left to her next patient. Not one explanation or ask how I was. She doesn't care. She's in a rush. I will be reporting her everywhere I can. Check my other reviews. I feel sorry for the Girls working the front desk. The front office manager is so rude yelling at them employees. Its been more than week that i received treatment there. I do not recommend this place to anyone just because i don't like to see employees being mistreated. They are not slaves. They are young Girls trying to make a living and they need to be guided. Had an old root canal redone and the experience was amazing. I used the Ina location and Dr McNamara did a great job of making the experience the best it could be under 'circumstances'. She was very informative, was very relaxed during procedure, making me in turn feel relaxed and less anxious. She made sure I was okay often and honestly the best root canal experience I've had to date. I've had about 6 in my life. Highly incompetent Office manager. I had a infected wisdom tooth that need to be evaluated as soon as possible. I was told to email my referral to evaluate which doctor to schedule my visit. I was told to put my phone number in the email so she could call me back. I was also told she was going to fit me in on a certain day of the following week. I did not hear anything back from the office. When I inquired about my visit on that day I was told in an email to call the office if I would like to make an appointment. I got the same office manager on the phone (unfortunately) and she continued to go round and round about my appointment. She even stated that my email reply stated to cancel my appointment. No where in my email do I state that! At this point I feel very uneasy about this office preforming any surgery on my mouth if this is how they treat potential clients. read more

I saw dr. Colorado for a second consult yesterday 2/14 because my dentist wanted me to see her for a top left back tooth that was bothering me. I was wanted to get treatment since the tooth had been bothering me for about 3 weeks now. She thought I needed to wait to get the crown on my bottom tooth and to be patient but what she doesn't know is that this tooth is affecting my everyday life and I can't even do the normal Things I like to do. I felt like I wasted 45$ seeing her. I'm still in pain and have Been crying everyday trying to find a resolution To this. i am very disappointed in the care I recieved took time out of work to try to get my pain resolved and I truly believe she just thinks I am exaggerating... believe me I can take a lot of pain and I am not exaggerating about what I'm feeling. I feel like she was Just too in a rush had too many patients to see and just didn't feel Like doing a root canal becuase imaging did not Show anything. I will be talking to my dentist about the problem still not being resolved. Just an fyi- just cuz an x Ray doesn't show anything doesn't mean there is not something underlying going on read more

They scheduled me right away for a root canal which was great. Just a really weird office experience so I will not be recommending this place to anyone. 1st: Georgia, the hygienist comes to take the X-ray and puts the bite wing in my mouth with no gloves. Eww for both of us. 2nd: only the surgical instrument's handles were covered with a towel. The pokey parts were fully exposed to the air/germs. 3rd: granted I was really anxious and jumped a lot, but both the hygienist and dentist kept patting on my breast to calm me. Umm, I have arms. 5th: they used my chest as a table for their supplies. There was a perfectly good swingy table right next to him. Why are all the supplies resting on me? This office only cares about getting full payment upfront. They don't even tell you it's required when the appointment is made. Even when you are told to fast for 8 hours because it is required for surgery and then tell you it's too late (4pm appt) after giving you hurdles to jump through with credit applications and no payment plans allowed. No one took ownership of the office making a mistake when scheduling and basically it is clear that getting $1100 up front is more important than patient care!!! Will never come back here! When asked for the $64 consultation fee the employee tried to run my card for $1100 without my consent. They don't care why you're there as long as you pay in full. Went to my ear nose and throat doctor for sinus problems and she discovered that I have an infection in one of my teeth. Went to the dentist office and ended up needing a root canal. Dr. James Sather DDS did my procedure and it went very well. Two hours after the procedure and I still have no pain. His assistant was also excellent. This doctor was recommended by friends and I have to agree he was great. Great personality and he seem to do an awesome job. read more

The staff & office supervisor were unprofessional & rely on intimidation to get patients to comply with their unnecessary requests/demands. This staff along with Dr. Sorenson insisted on unnecessary procedures that would only increase their revenue, yet compromises the wellbeing of their patients. Dr. Sorensen did an extraction on my last wisdom tooth that was severely impacted. He was polite and professional but not very informative. The office staff however are not very polite, knowledgeable, or helpful. They are very short with you like you're bothering them. I was obviously out of it after surgery so they gave my husband a sheet with "discharge" instructions that were incredibly vague and no other details about my surgery or the recovery process. This was not a normal extraction. The tooth was completely on its side and totally under the gum. So the recovery process has been way different than my other ones that were extracted normally. I have been experiencing great pain with ANY movement of my jaw which I'm guessing is normal due to how the tooth was placed. I called to see if I needed a post op appointment and if my pain was normal and the front desk lady said "all of that info is on your discharge paperwork, and yes pain is normal for up to 2 weeks". I reread the discharge sheet and it does not discuss pain past 24 hours, and it also mentions a post op appointment! In my opinion they need a better discharge instructions sheet, and better trained front office staff. The surgeon himself should have also explained to me or my husband that recovery would be different and more difficult based on the circumstances of this specific tooth. Then I wouldn't have had to call and "bother" the office staff. Their mission statement says "experienced, trusted, compassionate" and I would have to disagree! I would not return there or recommend it to anyone! read more

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone needing oral surgery. After fasting for 14 hours I came in for my appoinment only to be told I didn't have one. After debating with the front desk they found my referral and paperwork and the front desk lady said she will do her best to get me in. No apology, nothing! They should send their front desk to customer service training as they are lacking the fundamentals of helping people. read more

i went to valley endodontics. they had sent "some" of the paperwork that i needed to turn in. i spent 20 minutes waiting for the receptionist telling me the other paperwork i still need to get and turn in before any dental work can be done! instead of getting the x-rays from my dentist, i had to go to the initial consultation...which was.....an x-ray. again!! how convenient for me...to get another set of x-rays. then i was told that i didn't need to get the tooth pulled. what a waste of time!!! read more
