Absolutely abhorrent behavior. Old out of date equipment followed by an entire lack of respect for customers. after my initial appointment with this office the employees used personal cellphones to text me at all hours of the day. The texts were completely full of grammatical errors and almost illegible. The employees made appointments without notifying me and then tried to charge me for them. This office owes me several hundred dollars for services not provided, and has failed to provide me with x-rays after having taken them and charged me and my insurance. Terrible! Out-of-date equipment, Nadia, the receptionist was rude and I was given a Treatment Plan over $1,000 with percentages that my insurance would pay, which I found out later, was all wrong. They are out to deceive patients. I am filing a claim for what they erroneously charged me. Beware of fraudulent practitioners. read more

Went to this dentist (Dr. U.) after my prior dental group no longer accepted my insurance. The initial visit started with another set of Xrays which were done by a relatively clumsy technician using out of date equipment. Then the dentist recommended more procedures that the prior office hadn't AND added a bite guard without an explanation (over 600 dollars). Also added fluoride varnish that no prior adult dentist has ever prescribed. Finally, the dentist left me in the chair and th "treatment plan" was rereviewed by the front office staff (that is where I learned about the guard and varnish). Note...i gave 2 stars as I had earlier seen the dentist for a brief emergency visit due to an tongue ulcer...that visit was helpful in comparison to the intake today. All in all, i was quite unsatisfied and will look elsewhere. read more

The Care quality was sensational! Dr. U was sensitive to my needs and even gave me a blanket and pillow to keep me comfy!

Starting with the good: the dental assistant, Julie, is worth her weight in gold. She is fabulous and truly cares. I do think Dr. Persky is a nice person, but her schedule is very limited (the website is incorrect, they are only open M-Th), and processes that should've only taken a few weeks ended up taking much longer because of her limited schedule. Very hard to get stuff done this way, especially if something is bothering you. I also think the technology and outsourcing they use isn't the best, because even after a month, I had a crown that didn't fit. This office very much lacks professionalism and organization, especially with the front desk. Multiple times at my appointments I heard the front desk woman be very rude with the dental assistant, which was especially unprofessional in front of a patient. In addition, one time she tried to get a hold of me and I was unable to answer, but she called me four times in less than five minutes, and texted and called me from her personal cell phone; all without even leaving me a voicemail. Ultimately, not the worst office, but I've had much better care elsewhere (except Julie, she's amazing). read more

After checking some of the review sites including through my dental insurance, I found Dr. Persky's practice one of the highest rated and decided to give them a try. I'm glad I did because all the high star reviews were true. Dr. Persky and Dr. Uvaydov are the best dental professionals I've been lucky enough to have come across. Dr. Persky has created a very well thought out and kind hearted practice. Dr. Uvaydov did most of my work and was very considerate of my comfort during all the procedures and deeply professional. I've let my teeth go quite a bit over the years and I was immediately put at ease by all the staff and Dr.s there as they concentrated on my treatment and how to help me rather than berating me for my self neglect. They're very transparent in their treatment plans. They educate you about what's needed to fix your teeth, what it's going to take to maintain them after your procedures and the costs from the beginning to the end. Everything was upfront and there was no pressure. I can't speak to the financing part of the practice as whatever my insurance didn't cover, I financed myself. I realize not everyone can do that. So I advise talking with Dr. Persky's office staff upfront (after your evaluation) to find out your options. At least they will work with you and as you proceed with your treatment you'll find your in very dedicated hands. Personally, I always had fear of needles for necessary numbing agents and that's kept me away from dentist for quite a long time. I talked about it with Dr. Uvaydov and Dr. Persky and they listened and were very understanding. I appreciated they made all my procedures pain free, even helping me overcome my needle anxiety. Even with all the usual, and extraordinary disinfection procedures they had to go through and all the labor over my scaling and extraction the Dr.s and assistants remained so patient and solicitous. I was very impressed and humbled by their thoughtfulness. This was one of, if not the only, carefree dental experiences of my life. If you wish to trust Dr. Persky's practice with your business, I feel you will be happy with your choice. Myself, my teeth and mouth havent felt this good in a long time. If I could give the staff at Gentle Smiles 10 stars I would! Jenna greets you when you walk in with a smile and kindness. The doctors are gentle, understanding and very professional. They understand that some people have fears when it comes to visiting the dentist and do everything in their power to ease those fears, including offering sedation for procedures. Outstanding service by Dr. Elizabeth Persky!!! I broke my front tooth crown over a weekend visit to Tucson. I am not a patient of Dr. Persky's but the hotel I was staying in gave me a number to contact for emergencies since dental offices are closed on weekends. I got hold of Dr. Persky from her office message system and she was at home. She agreed to meet me in an hour at her office! She arrived promptly with her dental assistant, opened up her office just for me and rebonded my tooth perfectly in under one hour! It was a life saver!! Imagine being away from home and having to deal with a broken front tooth! I cannot say enough about her kindness, understanding, and above all the beautiful work she did in matching my new tooth perfectly!!! I can confidently say that Elizabeth Persky is one of the best dentists in Tucson! My boyfriend was suffering from a cavity that spread an infection to his nerve. After having no luck finding a dentist that 1) would be willing to work with him having no insurance or money for initial examination fees and 2) providing emergency dental care (especially with it being Black Friday), his coworker recommended Elizabeth and although her office was initially closed she was already there helping another patient with an emergency! She heard her office phone ring while she was there and definitely didn't have to answer since it was technically her day off but thankfully she did! My boyfriend had been sobbing in pain the few nights before. She is honestly an angel in disguise and we will both be going to her for all of our dental needs from now on. Through her kindness, talents, and professionalism Elizabeth displays that her main goal of joining the medical field was solely to help people and that kind of dedication gives me hope for this world.
