They have a bunch of random stuff, things you'll need in a pinch, including various foods and fresh produce (not meat), drinks, snacks, and other necessities. It's also a hardware, hiking and fishing supplies shop. In fact, I was impressed with the volume and kinds of fishing gear in stock. Of course, given the number of fishing access spots I passed, I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised. While I was there, the person ahead of me in the checkout line had an entire basket of groceries. She lived nearby and liked the convenience of not driving the several miles to Livingston or to Gardiner. I don't know if this place gives a discount to locals but given the number of tourists that were in and out of here, they likely could cut a break for nearby residents. Because it's located on the main road to the Park, you won't have to stray too far to pick up supplies, including the touristy stuff. And the people working here are nice and efficient.

Who would have thought that a small town like Livingston would have a…read morelocally-owned grocery store stocked with organic, and local, fresh products, to rival that of its box-store competitors? For someone local, or on the way to Yellowstone Park for camping, who doesn't want to drive into Bozeman and searching for organic and fresh, seasonal, local produce, Food Works is the place to go. In addition to the usual grocery items and miscellany, Foodworks has bulk products, something that was particularly interesting to me, as I have been searching for some organic cornstarch. It's surprisingly harder to find than I expected. Here it was. The manager explained they sourced from Austria. I can't say I was expecting that -- but okay. Also available daily are ready made sandwiches and soups that don't appear to stay available long, so come early.

Raw organ meats, organic in-season produce, medicinal herbs, artisanal bread and chocolate are just a few treasures one can find here at Food Works. However ..my FAVORITE thing of all at this store is the selection of ready to eat meals. In particular the egg salad and curry chicken bowl. Truth is, since I moved here, I have been slacking on my usual meal prepping and healthy eating and thus have been craving something tasty and packed with nutrients. The chicken curry bowl was that perfect blend between absolutely delicious and knowing my body is going to love me for this. Ps. *Parking lot is TIGHT!! My truck felt the squeeze coming in the parking lot for sure *bring your reusable bag!

Fresh vegetables are from local places, as much as possible, coffee beans and ground coffee are also from local roasters. There's a meat department with a butcher available to help with the meat for the outdoor grill. The freezers and coolers have ice cream and frozen foods if you just can't face a day of cooking or are in a hurry to get back to your favorite fishing or hunting spot. This isn't a store that specifically caters to the tourists, but rather is an honestly old fashioned neighborhood grocery store helping out the locals who don't want to drive to the "big" town. They have everything you'd find in larger towns, but without the hassle of traffic, wobbly grocery carts, grumpy employees, expired food, and unreasonable markups. It's nice to see a small, locally-owned business keep their focus on the community. The community has returned the favor as Glenn's signage says they've been in business since 1948, although maybe not in this location. Glenn's has the old fashioned look inside the store and still has a neighborhood feel..
