I came here several times for plantar fasciitis pain. I ended up buying a boot and custom insoles from them. Spent over $700 total here between office visits and the above. Paid cash for the insoles because it was "$50 cheaper if I paid cash". Neither boot nor insoles worked for me. I had a lot of follow-up appointments and it felt like every time I came in I was told "Last time you were here, did we talk about X?". And I would say no and he would say "Oh, have you tried this or here's some exercises". Why wasn't all of this discussed on the first or second visit? I ended up finding another doctor who told me the boot was unnecessary and the insoles were done incorrectly. A iPad was used to scan my foot at this office, but my new doctor did a cast on my feet in a neutral position. And the new orthotics I got are only half size not full size. The full size ones I got here were bulky and kind of pushed my foot up into my shoe in not a great way. I got PT on the first day at the new doctor and taping done which has helped tremendously. (They never did PT at this place.) I was also told by new doctor that the exercises I was given at this place don't really help and I shouldn't be stretching the fascia band. Maybe this place works for some people, but it didn't work for me. The staff was nice and the doctor was nice, but in the end I felt like I got gypped and am just out a bunch of money. Oh well. Awful staff. I can sense the sarcasm when talking to them. You can book a time to show up but they probably won't honor it. Got there 10 minutes before my appointment, they wouldn't be able to see me until 30 minutes after my scheduled time and weren't able to work with me on an alternative time to reschedule. I've been here before and had a card saved in the system. I was told I wouldn't need my credit card since it was on file, and then the lady informed me I actually would need my credit card to complete my payment. I don't carry my wallet on me and so they wanted to have me pay with venmo at the same cost even though I know for a fact they would make more since businesses pay fees on cc payments. They weren't willing to work with me there either. Terrible experience. Will not be returning. read more

I am so grateful that this place exist! I discovered this place when I was desperately looking for someone to take a look at what is causing my foot pain. They were able to take me in the same day, was seen the same day, and was prescribed medications the same day. When Dr. Hormozi entered the room and saw me, he performed a few flexes of my foot and asked me a few health questions. Right there, he immediately knew what's causing the issue. This usually comes from his knowledge and expertise as well as his years of experience. The clinical staff are also very nice and very knowledgeable on what they're doing. In fact, one was kind enough to help me understand how to use the ankle brace that I got from them. read more

My regular orthopedic doctor was booked up and I needed to travel a few days later, I needed x-rays and a cure for a running injury to my foot. I'd seen this clinic nearby so thought I would try it. They got me in the same day, which I appreciated. The staff were very nice, so was the doctor. However, the doctor did not do more than take a cursory look at it and then told one of his office girls to put some kind of a weird wrap on it (basically a thick elastic bandage type thing that they billed and collected $100.00 for, along with a $200.00 office visit fee, from my insurance.) They told me I'd have to go to some imaging facility for x-rays. I was still in terrible pain and this wrap was of course not going to fix it. Once I got home, I took it off, and called my regular orthopedic doctor's office again and this time told them that I urgently need to be seen, even by another doctor in their practice, and that my foot is killing me. The next morning, I drove quite a ways to their other office where they got x-rays, which showed that I indeed had a fracture, and put me in a cast. My insurance company and I had to pay two different medical offices for what was basically one treatment. What kind of podiatric office that presumably deals regularly with sprained and broken feet and ankles doesn't have x-rays and doesn't put casts on? Not a good one.... read more

After leaving the ER with my 82-year-old mother and her fractured ankle. The receptionist then wanted to send us back to the hospital to get copies of our x-rays when all she had to do was simply call/email them. Her laziness showed up a second time when she had the incorrect phone number for me and didn't alert me that the doctor would not be in to look at my 82-year-old mother's broken ankle instead he was taken care of his own mother. After an hour of trying to get my mom dressed/In the car/wheelchair up to his office she then alerts us he won't be in. How inconsiderate! read more

Don't ever book the last appointment of the day. He couldn't wait to get me out of the office. Barely even touched my foot and didn't care that I walk in the inside of my foot so badly that my knees hit each other as I walk. I came to Dr. Hormozi a couple of weeks ago for feet pain since I am on my feet all day! After going to another podiatrist, I wanted a second opinion. Dr. Hormozi was very polite and straight to the point. I didn't feel like I was getting the run around. He recommended that I get custom made orthotics. The price I paid was literally half of what the podiatrist had quoted me. I did not hesitate at all. I went ahead and got scanned the same day and my orthotics arrived so fast! I now have no pain in my feet, and my lower back pain has almost gone completely away from these orthotics! Going to Dr. Hormozi was the best choice I ever made. You're in good hands with him. I had been having a foot issue and after 3 weeks of continued pain I decided to finally see a podiatrist. As usual, I yelped and found Dr. Hormozi who appeared to have good reviews so I made an appointment. I WISH THAT I HAD NOT! First off , I asked about 5 to 6 times for a copy of my xray which they said they could not give me because their xray technician was out on personal leave. Was that my problem , NO ! I AM THE PATIENT AND IT WASNT A FREE VISIT SO I SHOULDNT HAVE TO continuously ask for my xray and given the run around about it! They literally emailed me that it was available about a month and a half later. I no longer had any use for it and who knows , knowing the way this whole situation played out it was probably tampered with! Second, the doctor misdiagnosed me which I found out by getting a second opinion and an mri. On my visit with the doctor that gave me a second opinion he asked for my records and I pulled up the medical records from the patient portal and all it said was a fracture.no indication of where exactly the fracture was very vague and unhelpful ! AFTER ALL MY ISSUES I SENT AND EMAIL TO THE FACILITY PRETTY MUCH EXPLAINING MY FRUSTRATIONS AND CONCERNS WITH THE TREATMENT I WAS GIVEN. THE DOCTOR RESPOMDED BACK AND INSTEAD OF BEING HELPED OUT THE DOCTOR WROTE BACK NEGATING AND JUSTIFYING ALL THE WRONGDOING! NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND THAT ANYBODY GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY AND NOT BE DIAGNOSED CORRECTLY! Hello, I have been a patient of Dr. Hormozi's since early 2014 and have had a very positive experience. He took me through surgery and toenail procedures and led me through recovery. Dr. Hormozi always encouraged and positively coached me along the way. During post op, he made a point to call me at home and reassure me as I was unfamiliar with the post-op healing process. He also takes time to listen to every patient concern, not like some doctors who want a separate office visit for every item on your checklist. Those places make you feel like a number instead of a patient. You know the ones: they rush you in and out and you think of about five things you forgot to ask the doctor after you already left. Valley Foot and Ankle is not like that at all. Dr. Hormozi is honest and hands-on. I have been late a few times because I commute all the way from Redondo Beach to Encino and got caught in rush hour traffic. The office staff have been very accommodating to schedule adjustments. On those occasions where I was late, Dr. Hormozi never made me feel bad and even did my x-rays personally himself, because the x-ray technicians had gone home for the day. I might also add that the ladies in the waiting room and the admin office are charming and friendly, especially Talin, who's big smile and graceful ways are always a welcome sight. I would not have made the trip from Redondo to Encino again and again if it was not worth it. And yes, the office is usually pretty busy; but that is an indication of the quality offered, hence the demand. That said, I have never felt rushed with Dr. Hormozi. Also, Valley Foot and Ankle is located on a very scenic strip of Ventura Blvd with lush trees and plenty of delicious eateries nearby. I also have never had trouble finding parking (although it is metered). Just swipe your card for two hours parking, take your doctor visit, and have lunch while there in Encino. The only problem with Dr. Hormozi is he is an Oakland Raiders fan but I try not to hold that against him! Please give Dr. Hormozi and the staff at Valley Foot and Ankle Center a try! read more

I saw Jones Homozi, D.P.M. at Valley Foot & Ankle Center Wednesday, Nov. 5th, 2014 for a very painful missing (big toe) toenail. It happened Sunday night and I had gone to urgent care in Burbank (a little drive) to have it wrapped and they put ointment on it and gave me some pain pills and a shot for pain. I was just dying of the heebie jeebies and terrible pain because there are shallow nerve endings under the toenail that aggravate and hurt like heck 24/7! So I realize I can't deal with my toe myself! I need help putting ointment on it and wrapping it again. Just the air touching it kills. I made an appointment with Jones Homozi Tuesday and went in the following morning. The office was odd, women working there seemed unfriendly, and it was crowded and it was like it was a public clinic of some sort possibly. I don't know, but the room I was in had weather stripping hanging off the door and things looked in bad shape. Hormozi cleaned my toe and talked me through that part, great. Then I make SURE he's putting antibiotic ointment on it to protect that very, very sensitive area and he said he was just putting gauze on it! What!?!?? NO! He insisted he's done 100's of these and this was best. He then wrapped my toe so much is weighed down the sensitive area so pressure was atop my toe! UGH! I then had to buy a shoe from them since I couldn't put my sandals back on. I woke up the next morning in the worst pain ever! And I've had a child. I think this was worse. OMG I cannot express the pain. I die. It was horrific. Beyond. EVERY STEP PULLED THAT OH SO SENSITIVE SKIN. It needs OINTMENT!!!!! Thankfully, I made an appointment to see my old podiatrist in Toluca Lake. They had to TEAR OFF that gauze Hormozi tortured me with and that killed. I was shaking. My foot was shaking MY GOD how could he do this to me? Every step pulled the raw area where my big toenail used to be! That goodness I went to the next podiatrist!!!!!! ***I got TONS of goopy OINTMENT on the area, a light gentle wrapping with a NON-STICK pad, and instructions how to take care of it going forward to prevent infection with supply list and a prescription for pain meds.*** What a huge difference! Hormozi doesn't have a clue, and I hope he reads this so someone is saved from that abuse. I should sue him. I made a follow up apt for Monday after seeing him on that Wednesday PER HIS INSTRUCTIONS, and the office didn't even have my appointment scheduled when I called to cancel (mighty big of me after this, but I figured they'd try to charge me a no show fee). They were going to let that gauze GROW INTO the skin under my toenail! I had no follow up appt. It hurt SO BAD!!! While this is not pleasant still, and my toe aches, it is now being properly cared for by an experienced professional. I would not recommend Hormozi if you are missing a toenail or anything else really. I don't write reviews and this was that bad. Make sure you put lots of ointment on your missing toenail area and wrap it daily. read more
