Yes, I would use them again for a big remodel. I only put 4 stars because on my kitchen and two bath remodels, I felt that their project manager, Joe, didn't really care about my concerns with mistakes that were being made. Valley's subcontractors and I got along and resolved all issues that came up. They use exceptional subcontractors for painting, plumbing, flooring and electrical. Their office manager was always saving the day with follow-up on any concerns. I was aware of time delays, problems that arise with construction, as my father was in construction his entire life and taught me a lot about the business. It's hard to reel in subcontractors, and I was always on the job too, which made things happen according to plan.

Valley Home Construction did an amazing job on our 2 bathroom remodels! Workmanship was top notch fulfilling all of our detailed requests. Laron Bailey and EJ Johnson project managers did an awesome job coordinating workers and completion with top quality workmanship. Their workers were highly skilled and so nice to work with. Temple Stone was on top of every last detail. I highly recommend VHC for your remodeling project.

    The final result!

We had Ed out to do give us an estimate on a full fireplace remodel. We had a design in mind and presented it. Within days he had a woodworker, electrician and stone worker out all at once to inspect the job site and collaborate on design. The process was smooth and only had very minor setbacks. Ed's communication through the process was amazing and he didn't have a problem communicating after hours. We're thrilled with the results and excited to have valley home do our kitchen next.

Removed the tacky, plastic, built-in tub. Enlarged the shower area and installed my dream claw-footed, tub!

Shout out to Valley Home Construction for our master bath remodel. Ed Lane and his team were always professional and polite. I designed the new floor plan and purchased new cupboards and fixtures, then the team descended and made my dream a reality! I hope to use them again when we're ready to remodel the kids bathroom.

    Passable work per Ed Lane

Unfortunately, we were forced to have another kitchen remodel and hired VHC again, as we had a pleasant experience with them. This time, not so much. There is zero communication, despite all being in writing. My job was started 06.18.21 and is still not completed. Ed has his people come to the house for an hour or two at a time and then calls the sub to state they need to go to another house for an emergency. I still have messed up tile, despite the contract being a complete remove and replace, Ed and his crew refused to replace the underlayment under my tile and now they are not installed correctly. Ed came to my home and yelled at me, and at one time threatened to pull his contractors. I challenged him and asked him to do that, but to also refund my money ($24,000 paid to the company at this time and we had a floor installed {which I paid for tiles} only), as he is breaching the contract; he quickly called back and said we will be moving forward. That was in July. We are now in September, approaching three months with this nightmare of a company, and are being held hostage by a note VHC would like us to sign stating they are only doing the work at our insistence, despite failing to adhere to the contract signed by me. Since I have failed to sign, they will not respond. I have asked for their bond information, and we got crickets. Ed came to my home 09.17.21 and spoke with my fiance, and Ed had the nerve to say the work on my home looks "passable" and tried to state that is an industry term, which it is not. Further, what company wants to make their work sloppy, but passable? My fiance simply laughed and stated the same to Ed. We have been through at least 5 project managers since the start, all quitting because of Ed (they have called me after the fact to let me know). The one we have now is beat up and trying as best he can, but gets zero respect from Ed, either. It is simply a sh!t show and I do not recommend anyone wasting time or money with this ridiculous company. As we stand now, there is a list of 26 items needing repair and they will not answer texts. They were supposed to be here today. Needless to say, they never showed. Ed quit communicating saying he has done over 20,000 jobs without complaint! Ha!! Just read Yelp and we know he's a liar! I have now filed against his bond company and the CSLB. BEWARE! This IS NOT THE SAME COMPANY AS 2016!!! If I could give zero, I would.

I just completely remodeled my kitchen with VHC. from demo to completion was 2 months including the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Every team that came in was friendly, efficient, and professional. I am thrilled with the results. Communication was great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or hire them again.

This used to be a dirt lot... I am so happy with it all... from the stairs that go to the top of the hill to the 2 vege planters

Bill did various remodeling items including: 1) Complete bathroom remodel in 1 bath, 2) remodel and convert a 1/2 bath into a full bath by adding a shower, 3) adding new windows, 4) paint interior, 5) new water heater. All throughout the process he was very easy to communicate with and listened to what we were looking for and provided awesome suggestions, many that we implemented. I was very particular about the type of windows to be installed, due to thermal / sun / heat ratings and he worked with me and his supplier to ensure I received the windows that met my specifications. I made several changes after our original contract was signed, and Bill was fair in his change order pricing and was good about documenting the changes so there were no surprises at the end. Bill handled all of the permit issues, including engineered drawings, submission of permits, and inspections. Very smooth process. Bill is a professional and I'd certainly hire him again for any future work needs.

When we received our contract, it was just as he said it would be, and the scope of work included everything we requested. After the contract was signed, the owner of Vostok, Alex, arrived with the demolition crew. The crew was very careful to cover the adjacent bedroom furniture and flooring. The bathroom work area was closed off with plastic, and the crew was very tidy while they worked. The old bathroom was demolished ASAP. Alex is very knowledgeable and skilled. The initial consult was professionally conducted, and we were happy to sign right then and there to get things moving. Everything, start to finish, went like clockwork. Communication was good, cleanliness was maintained from demo to last touches, and the employees were top of the line in their professionalism. We had Aleksei Alaev do the construction and installation work and he was just the best. Handled everything really well, and his work is top shelf. Clean lines everywhere, nothing rushed or half-done. Highly recommend anyone thinking of a bathroom remodel - call Rose! Edited to add photograph and also add that we did the painting ourselves, after Rose's team were done. So any imperfections in the paint are on us! LOL PS: We call this room the Bath Cave because it was built into one part of a framed in porch on our very old (1890) house. The window is just for light and will be covered with a privacy film too.

Would not recommend Rose Remodeling - we met with this company at the Home show and set up an appointment- the sales rep (Eric) came out on the 4th in the evening, took measurements, we went over what we wanted and he said he would get us an estimate - haven't heard a peep - don't waste your time as they will waste yours and not communicate - he also kept saying "this is going to be expensive" without even knowing our budget. My husband was concerned that the sales guy didnt act like he knew what he was doing when talking through what we wanted, measuring - then we sat our our table for 15 minutes while he scrolled home depot site showing us shower heads -- I told him he could just send us something as I was losing patience -- so he said he would send us an estimate and left - that was 10 days ago - not an email saying working on it, not a can't do it -- nothing. I appreciate small businesses and want to support them but not to my time and expense. I also understand (from my past experince being a home show participant) that there may be an influx of sales calls, etc..however that is not an excuse for zero communcations after an inperson sales meeting. Poor leadership, sales and attention to detail which unfortunately for the team doing the work could cause more problems. Recommend to owners to be honest - if your sales team doesn't want to do the work or can't - just say so - don't say you're going to do something and never deliver!!! Also, why waste your money at the home show if this is how your sales team operates? If they don't communicate before the project, imagine the lack of communication during the project!!! RED FLAGS! I'm leaving two stars as the sales rep did provide a good picture of work Rose has done in the past that now I can use to show other companies what I want.

I had several contractors stop by to give me estimates - a lot of contractors were very sloppy in their estimates, telling me they would give me a bathroom in five days or asking me to buy all the supplies, etc (as if I would know what to get), or telling me they can do it for $5k without permits. Anywho, Ivan from Vitex stopped by and asked a lot of questions on what kind of vision I had, and when I did not know an answer, he made suggestions. For example, he suggested I add a shower light - that's something I did not think of at all - and also pointed out things that were required for code upgrades, etc. The entire process was very transparent. After I received the quote, I met Ivan at the warehouse in Rancho Cordova and he helped me pick out the tile for the wall and the floor. Again, I'm clueless and he made the right recommendations that made sense. The crew arrived on day one and these guys work hard and other than their lunch breaks, they don't stop until the end of the workday. The workers were very pleasant and diligent. Very friendly. I really enjoyed having them here and they did excellent work. Once they were done, I proceeded to hire Vitex for bathroom #2, which involved removing a jet tub to build a walk in shower. This time I worked with Arthur, who was also excellent and the same worker crew. They did an excellent job with that bathroom, as well. What also helped was being in touch with Victor, the owner, via group text to keep me up to date on the project, etc. Also, for anyone doing their due diligence, Vitex is fully licensed and the work they did passed the City of Sacramento's inspection, so these guys are legit. I'll definitely recommend them to anyone I know looking for bathroom remodeling and will use them for future tile work. Thank you, Vitex! -Josh
