We gave this place a few weeks to get rolling and get the kinks out. The space is very open and has a great feel to it. The owner is AWESOME! We had a few fun convo's and it was great to hang out. The live edge bar is gorgeous! And the bar stools are super comfy, almost to a fault LOL. My wife chose to go with their cider offering and she really loved it. I tried the brewery's pale ale, also very good. Their selection is great, most of which is made at the location. The menu is small overall, but nice. The special board is HUGE, and has lots of fun selections that more breweries should consider running. We enjoyed their hot soft pretzels with a nice sweet mustard dipping sauce, and one of the best cheese dips I've ever run across. FANTASTIC! I rarely give anyplace 5 stars, and really never do on my first visit. After a few more adventures here, I'm sure they'll earn that fifth in no time. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Not a terrible place but not really worth it for just two people. They serve beer by the glass but wine by the bottle only. Lots of different local beers but only 4 wines. Our server was also pretty occupied by other tables and by other guests. Man, I don't know how I missed this place until now. Stopped in this past Wednesday after a hike. Had two beers and the warm pretzel. All of it was very good. Today, took the wife to have beers and lunch. Beers again were very good including the guest tap coffee porter from Farmstrong. Had the pretzel again and it was great. We also spilt the beet salad and prosciutto panini. Good lord that panini was awesome. I let my wife have half of it. I regret that as I wanted more of it ;) Thankfully I live nearby and can remedy that. Great to meet Andy and look forward to spending more time in in the future. read more

Such a huge disappointment!!!! After driving by so many times my husband and I finally stopped in for a beer before date night. Not only was the female bartender so rude, she would not even look us in the eye. Apparently my husband did not order fast enough and she left us there. I had NO idea they had wine, which I would have preferred, but since she said "what would like and I hope it is beer", how was I suppose to know. No wine on the menu at all. Not sure if it was the owners who went behind the bar and served themselves but I assume so. So as this horrible service was taking place they were chit chatting with "the regulars". I hope those regulars keep you in business because you have a great deal to learn about customer service. Hope the food is good cause Duvall can use that, however that won't carry you too far with rude and nasty service. Good luck! read more

I was told to try this place out. From the exterior it looks like an awesome place to hangout and get some brews. Parking was not overly favorable though. Walking inside it was definitely a bar atmosphere. Very open feel but not a lot of decor. The food menu looked decent but I didn't get anything. There weren't a lot of beers on tap. It was about 8. I sampled 4 and only 1 was ok. The other 3 were just not good. Tasted watery. Sadly, I ended up getting a beer from another company that this place had on tap. Another note, the woman working the bar seemed to not be able to pour a beer correctly. She would be pouring the same beer into numerous glasses and then when the foam died down, slowly combining the 2 to 3 glasses into 1. The beer she'd serve would have at least an inch or more of foam from the rim down. Just sad to see how much beer would overflow while pouring them incorrectly. So much beer wasted. I may come back if they get more guest beers on tap but overall I wasn't very impressed with the overall experience. read more

This place is many kinds of awesome. As a recent Oregon transplant to Washington I have been homesick for all of our wonderful craft breweries back home. On our first visit to Valley House what stuck me as special was the service. We were greeted warmly when walked in and our waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming. And not in a phony way...you could tell she meant it and really wanted us to enjoy our visit. She started by asking what types of beers we liked and brought us some generously sized samples which was a very nice touch. They had some very interesting brews including a Saison and a Sour which made me feel right at home. Seating was good and we received our beers and food very quickly. I had some tasty brews and some good food and the prices were not bad either. My only bit of kind criticism would be that the price of the beers wasn't listed anywhere I could see and I found that a little confusing, but not a big deal really. Wonderful service and great food and beer in a small town environment with ample parking. We will definitely be back! read more

Being a wine snob, it was actually a shock to see amazing local wine choices on their list. What a fashionable brewery! This gem is a fun spot here on the far Eastside. There is lots of seating. The staff is friendly and hard working. I imagine they can become short staffed on the busy nights. My only complaint is that it's more a tap house than brewery, as it only had one beer on tap that was theirs... and that beer was ok. I'm not a fan of sour beer, personally. I will definitely be back, because I'm confident they will start adding their own brews AND I really enjoyed the vibe of the place. read more

First visit after driving by 2x a day since they opened. The Amber ale they brew was very good as was the guest tap raspberry sour. I had the Reuben and it was awesome-only a nice dill pickle and some mustard would have put it over the top. Probably could have asked for the mustard but was so hungry I didn't wait. Most new breweries make terrible beer. I don't know how this is possible, but it's true. Not Valley House. Not only are all of their styles spot on, both ales and lagers, but they take time to choose guest beers which complement the house beers (i.e. they don't suck, either), and there is always something tasty on the menu. I feel very lucky to have such a good little place withing walking distance from the house. read more

Valley House serves over a dozen handles, four of which are currently in-house brews including a sour, 2 IPAs, and a Saison. The Saison is excellent. Food offered is pretty impressive and locally sourced. At peak hours they get slammed and this impacts service, but we'll definitely be visiting again. read more
