They moved to the next door. Still in the same plaza next to the supermarket. They got hardware and software upgrades. Nice and clean waiting area but I feel it's a little small. Consider they are pretty busy all the time. I was able to get a same date appointment with my doctor. I scheduled online which was easier than before (I had to call before they had the upgrades). The staff, nurses and doctors are always nice and caring. They listen to your concerns and perform/order necessary tests. Prescriptions will go to your pharmacy electronically. I would recommend the primary care and walk-in here. read more

Went in for a follow up appointment. Got called in within 5 minutes of checking in. The doctor and nurses all were very friendly and helpful. Alongside bloodwork got the flu shot as well. Was done with all my check ups within half an hour. The facility looks amazing after the renovation. Wonderful waiting area, clean efficient patient rooms. read more

I had tried 3 ob gyn practices when i conceived before settling with valley medical. The paramus location is newly renovated and beautiful. They are so responsive, kind and punctual.. not even a single bad experience after so many appointments.. every single RN and doctor has been really supportive and caring. The paramus location is really clean and well organized, even when i had any questions or needed to change appointments i just called and they were very accommodating even when they were busy. My delivery experience with doctor amna was just perfect.. all the nurses and doctors literally went above and beyond and i felt so cared for in that vulnerable time, they all heard concerns patiently, did things to calm me down .. cared for me like a family member, all this gave me so much mentaL peace, delivery was done smoothly without any tear,. I will always be thankful to the nurses who took such good care of me in valley. The L&D department is awesome! Keep up the good work read more

Been going here for 15 years- considering a change. Up until recently excellent care. Then got stuck with a PA who was a disaster. Mis-diagnosis, incorrect treatment, incorrect medical suggestion, showed lack of patient concern. Luckily, that PA is no longer there. Now their most infamous problem- phones and scheduling. I once sat for 4 hours, and was never seen by anyone. Average wait for me over 2 hours. I am currently due for a physical, per contacts by them to all the wrong places. Have been calling the office to schedule for a week, still waiting for one of their "Navigators" to pick up a phone. Doctors great, scheduling and contact the absolute pits. Front desk staff; especially the older woman is nosey, loud and rude (the one with the short brown hair and wears glasses). The providers are great. Office manager needs improvement or be replace. Place needs to be fix up. Wait time is horrendous. Valley Health Systems need to hire more caring and professional individuals; and then this medical facility will be better. Waiting time is unbelievably long. My appointment was at 11 but waited more than an hour to be seen, does not update you about the status why you're waiting for more than an hour. People working at the front desk are unfriendly and with stoic demeanor. Wont come back here at all. read more

I have yet to encounter a doctor or nurse that I don't like at Valley Medical Group. They are all so helpful and kind, and despite this being a place for walk-ins, I never ever feel rushed. I have been to other doctors that nod away and barely listen to me before rushing me out of the room, but that doesn't happen here. The doctors and nurses take their time to truly listen and discuss any issues you have. I use Valley Medical for both yearly physicals and "emergencies" and I have no complaints. I should note that the wait time can sometimes be long, but that's to be expected in a place like this. Before writing this, I noticed the last good review was written 3 years ago. They responded to the bad reviews but I dont think they ever read them. I have to say the doctors and PA are very nice and do they're best. Unfortunately the office is run by incompetent and heartless people. Ever since Dr Desphlat retired things have gone downhill. They moved to a nice fancy new office, big deal, it still runs like a car with 3 wheels. Apparently the word appointment has no meaning because 5 people who arrived after my designated appointment time were seen ahead of me. When I finally got in a room, one hour after my appointment, they said Oops-wrong patient, go back in the windy, snowy waiting room and wait another 20 minutes. When you finally get to see someone it's a PA, not a doctor. hI asked for a letter for work and they said it would be uploaded to the Portal. When I called today, they said oh we can't upload that, we can fax it or come in and get it. Sure, I'll come back to the office in 19 degree weather with covid and spread my germs in your office again- I'll be glad to get you all sick. Definitely need to find a new primary. read more

I had just left this facility, i have been battling depression for over a year and went in to see my options, I have been upset and fighting through tears I was trying to explain what was going on, dr. Alana Goldberg was the most rude, insensitive doctor I have ever met. Her reaction to me was " I'm just meeting you I don't know why you are yelling at me" with a extremely aggressive attitude. she should NOT be able to handle people who are having difficulty with any mental illnesses when I was not yelling at her in anyway but was fighting through tears and crying to explain to her what was going on. I can't even give any stars sadly ... i been going to this facility since i moved to dumont for 17 yrs and today 1/11/2022 i made a decision never to come back here again . Let me just start saying , this place seemed good to me in the beginning , However as the years gone by , i and my family felt there was too many dr coming and going and we never were seeing the reg dr we was assigned to when we came everytime .. However what tipped me not to come back is the lack of caring , cold attitude and o well attitude . On 9/3/2021, i called Valley health in dumont because i wasn't feeling good , i was given a appt to evaluate my symptoms before coming in and then they told me to come in , once i got there i was told to stay in my car and to pull around to get tested for covid before entering the facility . once i came around i was approached by a nurse and asked to sign a waiver . I then asked why ? they said they don't allow anyone inside unless the get tested for covid and i needed to sign the waiver or i would'nt be seen ? which seemed wrong to me but since i was sick and needed to be seen i signed it since i have insurance .To my surprise my insurance didn't cover the fee since they said they are not a lab approved facility . So i called valley health and was speaking with woman named Lin , and she seemed liked she was going to help and told me not worry she would take care of it .. A month later i get a bill and call to speak with Lin again and she denied ever speaking to me and that she would never say she would take care of it ? so now i'm being called a liar ! she informed me to contact my insurance and find out why they don't want to cover , i went to call my insurance and then called her back for her not to want to take my call ! How unprofessional and sad of representation of Valley Health Hospital . I then was told to call billing and then spoke with erica a supervisor and told her the entire story as well as i told her i'm currently laid off due to covid and not working ! she then informed me she would find out what going on and what happen? with the bill , she seemed understanding and seem like she was going to help , but what should i expect ? she came back to tell me they can't do anything since i signed the waiver and offered me a 25 percent off the bill mind you i explain how unfair this is , basically if you don't sign the waiver they will deny service ! and here i am stuck with a 275.00 bill ... Not sure how to pay this and this should be illegal of them to do to people ! This is why i will never go back and i will pass the word ... i just hope someone reads this and see how bad this is of Valley Health and one last thing they really need to replace some of the miserable people in there ! people are sick they don't need to go there and be treated worse then what they are feeling ..... This place was listed as a primary care physicians office with my insurance and said they were accepting new patients so I made an appointment for a check-up and to seek a referral to an ENT. They charge a fee for visiting on a Saturday - which seems incredulous. They are a walk-in clinic also, and charge normal patients walk-in rates. I waited one full hour in the waiting room although I had an appointment. I saw a nurse who weighed me and told me the doctor would be in. I then waited approximately 30 minutes for a doctor, and was also contemplating walking out. Total wait time to actually see a doctor was 1.5 hours with an appointment made about 2 weeks in advance. The doctor Dr. Gina Cabela, saw me for about 5 minutes for a regular check up visit where I told her I wanted a referral to see an ENT. The office visit costs $225 before insurance. Save your time, and just go somewhere else. read more

I recently called this location. I have been going there for many, many years. Maybe 20 years or more... Many people in my family go there as well. I have been going for much longer than most of the current Doctors have been there. The Doctor I see is very nice. I was really hoping to speak to her! I never had a big problem until now. I called as I was in a medical crisis. The clinic was completely aware this might happen as they prescribed the medication I was struggling with. The doctor finally called me back after I made 3 calls. It was not my regular Doctor - but the Dr. on call. I heard a big sigh as she got on the phone. It as very unsettling, like I was completely bothering her. I explained to her what was going on with me. She didn't really care - nor did she listen to me. She was condescending and unsupportive. She basically told me to go the ER if I had any problems. I felt completely abandoned. I am so disappointed. (I also want to mention I don't call them EVER unless it is truly a crisis. I hate 'bothering' people if I don't have to. I think, in all of these years, I called them once or twice to speak to a Dr. or a nurse, but usually I wait and speak to them at my app't.) read more

Very disappointed in my experience today. I originally called this morning to set up an appointment for an ear infection. They told me this location only accepts walk-ins. Fine, got there at a decent time and the front desk laughed and said--that is not true, you need an appointment and gave me one for later in the day. So I left, came back---and after several back and forths of if I need to wait in the car or not, I was finally sent to my car to wait (I had a minor cold, hence the ear infection). So after waiting, I called to ask how much longer and they said another 20 minutes. So I cancelled my appointment and decided that these individuals should not be in charge of my health! I don't mind waiting, I don't mind all the precautions, I don't mind them goofing up an appointment time---HOWEVER, what I do mind is the lack of consistency, organization, and simple empathy. Thank you for wasting my whole day on deciding whether or not I should wait in the car or if you are a walk-in and/or appointment facility---because as I recall I did both! She's better than any doc that I've been to and you can tell how much she truly cares to get the right answer to your questions and to get you feeling better. I've been going here for awhile and my experiences with the staff have been hit or miss. Dr. Shekari is very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. I've never seen Dr. Desplat when I've gone to the office, but my family members have, and they report that he's a great doctor, too. The NP is also very nice but seems a little unsure of herself, especially when she's doing patient teaching. But not all of the staff operates from this baseline of competence. Dr. Cabela is a sorry excuse for a doctor. She has sent family members of mine to the ER for things that could have easily been treated in the office, thereby causing them to incur significant bills entirely due to her ignorance. And the reception staff, especially during the mornings/afternoons, has grown surlier. There used to be a very nice and reasonable girl on evenings, who I think was going to nursing school, that I don't see anymore. Their customer service has to improve if they are going to compete with other area urgent care offices. read more

I just don't think I can go back here again. Overall my appointment was fine, I was actually seen by a nurse and doctor in a reasonable amount of time, but was then told that 'Bob' would be right in to give me a chest x-ray. I waited 31 minutes for 'Bob' before walking out. Exam room 4 has a clock, generously provided by the pharamceutical company that makes Amrix, which ticks quite loudly. Waiting 31 minutes in an exam room, with a loud clock ticking off every second, is torture worse than water-boarding. read more

I have had 2 bad experiences with doctors here One looked at my hands (I was there for something else) said I had "clubbed nails" and rosacea. I have neither condition - I have never had another doctor before or after give me such an odd diagnosis. What the ...? The other time I was there for a sore throat, thought it might be strep. They kept me in the waiting room over 2 hours. I finally was put in a room, I sat there another 45 minutes. Dr. Cabela came in, she was rude and unpleasant and actually "tsk'd" at something I said. 5 minute strep test and pay the bill... The doctor I used to go to here was very nice and an excellent doctor, but has since left the practice. .I will never go back to either of those other two doctors. read more

The office is great in all aspects! The providers and staff are truly caring and make you feel like part of their family. Hours of operation are very helpful, as they are open 7 days a week. I bring my Mother there for years. Dr Desplat is her Primary Care doctor, but when he is not available she has seen other Providers all to be true and dedicated to follow in Dr Desplat treatment plan. I give this facility a perfect five star as the way it is run is wonderful. I would recommend it too all and so much easier then having to run to an emergency room. read more

The wait times are horrendous. Consistently 50+ minute wait for the doctor to arrive. They are hyper focused on profit and therefore jam-pack their schedules with more appointment than the doctors can handle, resulting in a terrible patient experience. Front desk lady is really rude. read more

I had the worst experience there. Place was really dirty looking. I waited in the waiting room for 2 1/2 hours. Then in the 20 min in the examination room. For a ankle injury from work. They finally took me into X-ray to tell me it was broken. I didn't even see a dr I saw nurse practitioner. What a joke of a place then they said they can't do anything for me. Gave me referral to see orthopedic dr, gave me a splint and said good luck. I asked the for pain medication and they gave me a muscle relaxer. Lol what a totally waste of time. Never again loser of a place. If you need too see a real doctor go to city md. lot cleaner place. not to much of a wait to see a doctor. read more

Never again. I have used them for several years and while the wait sometimes is long usually everyone is very accommodating. My last two visits, I was given a physicians assistant and I will never be returning. One visit she insisted on sending me for tests - even though I had all the same tests a year before. Which one again resulted in perfectly normal results. She told me my symptoms were NOT what I stated they were as told to me by a board certified Dr. A board certified specialist in this field. (Still paying for THOSE as my insurance isn't great) Second time I went back for something different with time sensitive paperwork. Same song. "Needs further testing" and OH luckily she could get me into one of THEIR Drs ASAP. This was an issue that had been tested addressed and signed off on by an NYU specialist - as well as being addressed yearly by my GP.. She flat out refused to sign off on the paperwork without the testing being repeated. {Fool me once...} and now I will never go back read more
