Beautiful office, amazing front desk staff. I was referred by the Veteran's Dental clinic for a root canal of one of my front teeth. Yes I was nervous, but while waiting in the dental chair after getting an xray, you could hear conversations from the Dr's and Patients. They were all so kind to the patients, explaining every detail. And my Dr came in, was as well thorough. The procedure was to take about 40 minutes, To be honest, while they were not rushing at all the procedure of drilling, and filling with a few mere minutes. Letting that set, and then finishing, and polishing. Don't hesitate, if you need an endodontist, this is the place to go to! read more

I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I'd like other folks to beware. I went to Valley River Endodontics to find out if a root canal was needed to save a tooth. Even after the expense of a 3-D X-ray, the endodontist couldn't say. He said he wouldn't know until he got in there. What a crock. The visit cost $400+ and all I got was basically "pay another $1800+ so we can go exploring." I had to pay the $400+ at the time of service, which wasn't unexpected, but it was tough because I'm on a fixed income. A couple of weeks later I received an EOB from my insurance which indicated that they would pay all but about $26 of the bill, which was a huge relief until I called the endodontic office and was told they hadn't received the payment and couldn't reimburse me until they had, and that reimbursement wouldn't come until about 2 weeks after they received payment. Long story shortened, I didn't hear back from the office so called again after about a month, at which point I found out they had lied to me, they had in fact had the payment in hand when i called the first time, but hadn't gotten around to processing the refund. Except for the lying to me part the staff was friendly, but I sure as hell won't be going back to this office. read more

Saw Dr. Curtis at this location for a complex root canal, which promptly got infected, leaving me in mind-numbing severe pain. THIS ORAL SURGEON DOES NOT BELIEVE IN TREATING PAIN. Do not go to this office! They will leave you in agony and refuse to give you anything whatsoever for pain. I currently cannot sleep, eat, or work due to the agony I am experiencing, and they could not care less. DO NOT GO TO THIS ENDODONTIST!!! read more

They were professional, kind, and competent. This was important to me because I was referred to their office because the week before, an Endodontist did a root canal on me, did the wrong tooth, and did not seem to care about this mistake or my condition. read more

Had to have a root canal preformed they contacted my insurance to see what my portion of this procedure was going to be out of pocket and asked me to pay this amount before leaving the office which I did, then after an incomplete procedure due to the tooth cracking and having to be extracted by my regular dentist they send me a bill for more money saying that this is because the insurance didn't cover enough What a crappie way to run a business and treat your customers read more

I had a fabulous experience at Valley River Endodontics, I was able to get in to see Dr Ruckman and his Assistant Teresa. Both were very accommodating and had great spirit and humor through out my entire visit. I have bad anxiety and they made my root canal a fun and enjoyable experience. Best root canal ever.... sounds like a lie right? But it's TRUE! Dr Ruckman and his staff went out of their way to ease all my anxiety. Super friendly and nice staff here. It's a hassle they only do the root canal part and you have to go to your regular dentist to completely finish it. I'd rather just pay all at once instead of two separate payments. It cost alot. read more

I had to go back to see why my root canal treatment wasn't working. They wanted to take a 3D image of the tooth to find a possible cause but they didn't tell me that the insurance wouldn't cover it before taking it. Going out the door they made me pay $200.00 out of my pocket even though I have full dental coverage. I don't think this is an honest way of running business. read more

I had incredible pain over the weekend. And found out I needed a root canal. Valley river Endo staff went above and beyond to get me in. They ended up getting me in so much faster than I had expected. Ive had a history of not being able to do dental work unless I am completely sedated. However after being informed of the procedure and the confidence in their work I have heard of through others I went in this morning. I was able to get a small dose of a medicine to help my nerves and the procedure Dr Steed did was incredible! it's been 10 or more years since I've had any dental work without complete sedation. And when I was done today I couldn't even believe I had those fears. I mean totally gone. I know it was because they truly cared to talk me through what they were doing, why I was afraid and they really heard me. I can't thank them enough for walking me through all of this so well. I actually am looking forward to my next appointments there. I've been so afraid before I have held off on a lot of dental work I needed done because I was terrified. So to say I'm grateful wouldn't even compare to the relief I feel having them do my work and the joy I have knowing there is a place I can go without feeling afraid or anxious. Thank you to their whole staff and Dr Ruckman for taking the time to explain in such great detail everything that would happen and my options. Dr. Dryden and the staff is wonderful! After relocating here from Southern California - and my dentist was becoming a good friend down there - being referred to Dr. Dryden for a re-treat root canal. The numbing is never fun - but this was one of the least painful numbing sessions I've had. Having to undo someone else's work can't be easy, but the final xray of the completed re-work, looked beautiful. I wish I could have him as my regular dentist all the time for all of teeth needs! read more

I enjoyed my treatment here! I had two root canals I needed done, but my credit card only allowed for one at a time. Dr. Shultze, who is no longer there, took care of my tooth pain and bought me some time to get the care I needed. I would give 5 stars except some billing information that was lost when Dr. Shultze left caused me a little trouble, however the ladies at the office helped me clear it up in time. I do expect I'll go back there in the future to get my crown! read more

I had to have my first root canal the other day! My dentist referred me to Dr. Schulte at Valley River Endodontics. Everyone there is A++++! Heather, the receptionist, was really friendly and welcoming which helped me from the beginning to feel less nervous. Stacy, who assisted with my procedure did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable. She would tell me ahead of time about what was happening and what noises I would be hearing. Dr. Schulte was extremely gentle, kind and very competent, and he even went the extra mile to fit me in on the same day during their lunch hour. I would highly recommend Valley River Endodontics! Recently went there to have a root canal done on a loved one. I can't even tell you the doctors name because he never introduced himself. He was rude and condescending. I have seen Dr. Ruckman for a few cases now and every experience has been five star. His ability to keep me comfortable and have the treatment go extremely smooth was pretty incredible. In the past I have always had trouble getting numb but not with Dr. Ruckman. My first appointment with him was night and day from any dentist appointment I've had in the past. It was so great that I even recommended to my mother (who has extreme dental anxiety and also had a wonderful and easy experience with Dr. Ruckman and the staff) to have her root canal done at Valley River Endodontics. I just had my first root canal with Dr. Nick Schulte. He and the staff at VR Endodontics were top notch. From Wendy once the phone getting me set up to Heather for the initial appt and Jenny assisting today on the procedure, they were all calm, comforting and made me feel at ease. Well, that and the Halcion I took to relax for the procedure . I had extreme anxiety about getting a root canal (put it off for 3 years!) but these ladies and Dr. Nick gave me no worries!
