Gotta say, I'm a bit confused. First, this location is affiliated with Valley Sleep Center, but this is not where sleep tests are conducted. This is where machines and supplies are ordered and distributed. At least that's what my understanding and experience is. It took weeks to get an appointment, but that was my understanding I had after my sleep study. I know they are low on staff as I was specifically told that. Maybe not the best thing to tell clients, but oh well. I finally got an appointment after telling the scheduler that my doctor was very concerned that I didn't have my machine yet. I got in in few days later. My machine was thoroughly explained and demonstrated. The person I met with was down to business but friendly. Since I had a lot of questions, my appointment was about an hour. I left feeling pretty good about machine functions and expectation for success. I called to swap out the nose piece since the one I had was uncomfortable and picked up the new ones the same day, with no issues whatsoever. I've had nothing but good interactions and service here. I guess I'm the anomaly. read more

My review is not a reflection on the staff of the sleep lab or the valley sleep physicians in Sun city but more for the corporate animal that lurks on the back end. After my study and consultation I was referred to the supply side of the business and was told they would contact me to set up my appointment. A few days go by and I get an appointment set up invitation exactly at 5PM. They are closed so I can't call them and naturally forget about it till I get another invitation at exactly 5PM the very next day. So on the third day at 11:30 AM I call to get set up. After navigating to the proper queue to set up my appointment I am first in line to speak with a representative with an estimated hold time of 28 minutes but 35 in reality. Tamara helped me and after speaking with her, I discovered that this huge company has no contact or call center to take the myriad of calls they must receive. She was extremely helpful and again no fault of her own, but the corporate overlords need to wake up and provide customer service to their customers. She quickly sent me my prescription so I can do business with another supply company. Thank you, Tamara. read more

This place is the WORST! I am eligible to get CPAP supplies every month however these guys constantly tell me I am not eligible and can only get supplies quarterly and when they do let me order supplies, they delay filling the order fir 1-2 weeks, claiming they are waiting for authorization. I just confirmed with my insurance company that I should be allowed to get supplies monthly AND that my supplies have already been authorized until the end of this month so I know now what supplies I should be getting and when and I also know that valley sleep can't be waiting on authorization because they already have it! So I don't know what kind of games they are playing or why but I will be taking my business elsewhere and suggest that others do the same... Don't say you weren't warned... read more

Hello, My nane is leandra gittens. I have heart failure and 2 other diseases. My pulmonary dr referred me to your office for sleep study. I need this information for surgery and for the insurance to approve specific medication. Well 3 weeks passed and the Dr's office called to confirm if it was scheduled, I said no and they asked me to contact your office and I did. The lady who answered said for some reason my insurance is taking awhile to get verified. After going back and forth I asked to speak to a supervisor and that was the worst decision yet. The supervisor was extremely short. She kept placing me on hold with out permission. Everything I was asking her was a problem like she was upset before she got on the phone. She said we expedite it, I tried to give her my reps number at molina who could verify she refused. She kept talking to me like I was child or slow. I told her multiple times I didnt appreciate the way she was talking to me. Moving forward Im back at the Dr's office last week and the lady who sent the referral said I called then and the insurance is verified. You should have no problem scheduling. We'll I called while I was there and the lady put me on hold and said a supervisor has to schedule your appointment. I asked is that protocol she was trying her best not to answer. Basically it sounded like that lady put a note under my name. And to be honest I feel like im being racial profiled. Good thing for me I recorded the last part of the call. The lady refused to let me talk to anyone else. Im told their is no corporate number and Basically no one is higher then the supervisor. So I would like a call back. Went in to get my supplies and set up for a machine . Already had a machine informed person who took my information. Got to the meeting they said they couldn't use my machine it was a cpap not an ap. So asked for different options they didn't want to help it was like they didn't want to work at all. Don't recommend looking elsewhere for assistance. read more

Unable to manage the number of patients they have; 2 months or more to schedule an appointment, even a follow up after reporting new symptoms and having testing. Unprofessional staff. Questionable practices by person certified after 13 weeks of learning to repair, set up and distribute CPAP machines seeing patients for office visits. This person prescribing blood tests (incorrectly) and giving medical advise to patients. Not acceptable! read more

First of all: kudos to the front desk staff at Valley Sleep Therapy Mesa office. The two lovely ladies are always courteous, kind and knowledgeable in the interactions with me. (Medical provider PA Pawanvir at Valley Sleep Center side is very nice also) Thank you. However, my recent visit for supplies with a respiratory technician at the Valley Sleep Therapy office was not the best. I came to this office with high hopes of finding a mask that would work for me. I've been using Cpap for many years now. The technician seemed uninterested in my concerns, and looked like she had never heard of the patient complaints that come about with the use of different types of Cpap masks. I felt that I had to explain issues that many Cpap users have with their masks. After I had tried a couple of possible masks from their sample wall and chose one, the "new" mask pack I received already had the individual components ripped out of their usually sealed bags.That was somewhat unsettling. She also gave me information regarding the further ordering of mask components that seemed contradictory to my past experiences with Valley Sleep Therapy. To give her the benefit of doubt, perhaps she is new in this line of work, new in this office or was having a bad day? I left the office, mask in hand, but cannot say this visit was a pleasant one. I have been a patient of Valley Sleep for a long time, and it is disheartening to see that patient satisfaction has gone down during the years, as evidenced by patients' feedbacks. Whoever is "minding the store" at Valley Sleep Therapy should look into patient satisfaction and quality of care in their various locations. Also, on a separate note, it would be nice to have uniformity of insurance billing in all locations of their CPAP supplies. To have a patient drive across the Valley to another office, because the location that serves the patient's area is not contracted to bill to an insurance, seems strange. Aren't all the Valley Sleep Therapy offices under the same umbrella? read more

I was so happy with valley sleep therapy. They went out of their way to fix an issue. I wish I could still use them but medicare says no. Switched to apria which was a huge mistake and will be changing again asap. Would LOVE to go back to valley sleep therapy!!!! read more

Poor Customer Service!! I am trying to get supplies and was sent an email requesting my insurance information on Oct 24. I sent images of the insurance card on Oct 25. Then silence - no email replies. I have tried to contact them vial email on Nov 1 and Nov 6 - still nothing. Then I got a notice that my order was cancelled. Of course you can't reply to that email and the information is generic. I called the number on the email and guess what? It did not work - a few clicks and beeps, then disconnected after about 20 seconds. When they do call me, random numbers show up on my phone, which I am leery to answer and when I do it is a person in a call center that can barely understand me. Valley Sleep Therapy needs to pay attention to customer service and support! read more

After removing myself from auto-refill and auto pay, was still billed 2 cycles. I had moved and one of the orders that was billed inappropriately was sent to my old address. They refused to re-issue supplies until 30 days, or the supplies were returned. They hound you with spam emails, texts, and phone calls to tell you it's time to re-order, only to screw you over. read more

My mom was just here. They kept giving her excuses on why the technician couldn't see her or why the phone wouldn't work for the past couple months - they said their phone hasn't been working for 2 weeks - that's a lie. The tech Nicole and manager kept giving my mother excuse after excuse. She told them that her order went in Oct 4th, 2022 & she accepted the idea that her CPAP equipment would take 3-4 months to arrive. My mother can understand the year end business pressures. By the time her appt started today, she tried to express to Nicole that she was not a "happy camper" because she was unable to talk to anyone in office prior to arriving so she could better understand what to expect. Nicole again kept giving excuse after excuse. So my mom quietly raised her hand and asked if Nicole could just apologize and recognize that she wasn't feeling good. Nicole refused to apologize. So my mom asked for her manager who came out and she explained the same thing to the manager and the manager refused to apologize based on the fact that they didn't think they owed my mother an apology. All my mom needed was them to show compassion, that she needed help with using her CPAP, and that she's suffered from insomnia the whole year. The manager said "Why would I have to apologize if I have family members who have cancer and other major illnesses". That was so rude. My mom wasn't asking for apologizes for being sick. She asked for apologizes for having no compassion when it was obvious it would have helped. My mom said nicely, "I am leaving" - the manager yelled out "we are firing you" as soon you can come back. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU RUN A SLEEP CENTER THAT IS SUPPOSED TO GIVE AID IN FINDING SOLUTIONS FOR SLEEP APNEA. YOU DO NOT TREAT PATIENTS THIS WAY. I keep trying to order supplies and they claim they "can't get ahold of me" yet I have no missed calls OR messages. Last time this happened I called to talk to someone and they claimed they called me multiple times and even confirmed my number... they never called. Took my money for a refill REAL quick and then took 4 MONTHS to get me my supplies. Definitely won't be using them again. Go somewhere better. read more

Had an appointment here and didn't care for JOANNA, the PA I was scheduled with. I called several times to speak with a manager regarding the appointment and had to leave messages every time. Never received a call back. I guess they don't care that the PA didn't listen to me and my issues. I did schedule another appointment with Krysten and she was GREAT! After several months of them never answering their phones, i decided to pay off my CPAP and go elsewhere. On August 3rd, I drove to their office, let them charge my card for the remainder of my year, and left. Then, when trying to get supplies from my new provider, I found that Valley Sleep Therapy had gotten a new authorization from my insurance on October 2nd, so my new provider could not get authorization to get me any supplies. In trying to untangle the authorization issue, I found that Valley Sleep Therapy had continued to file claims against my insurance after I had already paid them off. If you have any way to go to a different provider, I highly recommend you do so and avoid Valley Sleep Therapy by any means possible. read more

I had my sleep study a few years ago with Valley Sleep Therapy's sister company, which was fine. They sent my prescription to Valley Sleep Therapy, which outfitted me a machine and a mask. I took right to CPAP. When the weather became cold I encountered rain-out for the first time, so tried to contact the therapist who sold everything to me to ask for advice to prevent the rain-out. It took him weeks to respond and he wasn't helpful, and actually argued with me about what I had experienced. I was surprised. Now, I need a new machine, and tried to contact them. When I called, i was "number 53" in line. 53! I left a message explaining that I wanted to purchase a machine, but given my prior experience and the more recent reviews I've read, I think I'm going to move on. read more

My c-pap machine broke, had to get an appointment with a provider here in AZ. Waited four weeks to get a new patient appointment here. Unfortunately got here 10 minutes late after a GPS misdirect. 10 minutes late & provider Malia Garcia refused to see me, forcing me to re-schedule & wait another several weeks again. I had already completed all new patient paperwork prior to the visit, all ducks in a row. I tried to communicate and at least be heard to explain my situation or even submit a complaint. Provider Garcia refused to even take my complaint in person. She would only IM the medical assistant, as a middle man, claiming she could not give me a full visit. Not even 2 minutes to communicate, but you have 5 to type back and forth with your medical assistant? Worst customer service ever. I will be giving a competitor with much better customer service my business. read more

Hopefully you never need supplies. They don't answer the phone and if you get so lucky to get a hold of them, the cost for my supplies was outrageous. It is much more economical for me to order off CPAP. com or somewhere else. I also get them weeks quicker. I have never experienced such an inept handling of a serious condition. This place is a Joke! There are plenty of reputable centers with real Doctors who care. This is not one of them. They are only interested in the sale. After that, you are pretty much on your own unless you can wait 3 months for an appointment. Even then, good luck getting what you need. read more

Terrible phone support. This is the second time I have been kept on hold for more than 20 minutes being told "you are caller number 1" only to be sent to voicemail and cut off. These guys do not answer phones. They are also extremely slow to return messages, respond to text or emails. Their voicemail says they are "experiencing large call volumes." It will then tell you are first in line, but they still don't answer. I don't consider 1 call to be "large call volumes." This company simply has terrible customer service and should be avoided like the plague. read more

I wish there was a zero star rating. Stay away zero customer service, zero patient care and you will never see the same doctor ever. The worst customer service. All calls are forwarded to a central call center you will be on hold with 9 callers in front of you. You will hold for 2 to 3 hours and never speak to a person! You will leave multiple voice messages and never get a call back. They say book an appointment online yet it is impossible to book online until they give you the patient ID number to be allowed to book the appointment. The voice recording states," your call is very important to us" so 3 days 8 voice messages and not one call back. Show how important we are! read more

The 2 receptionists are excellent. They are so proficient in explaining the detailed information which the patient must sign. I have noticed that some patients become agitated, but these 2 are just doing their jobs in the most respectful way. read more

I had to do a sleep study because my company doctors was requiring it for my CDL. No one was listening to me on any of this. This was the worst two years of sleep in my life. This first study was inconclusive. So I was had to do it a second time at additional cost. Still no one listened to the patient. It may be a good thing for some but not for me! I hated it! read more

I tried to get through and order my supplies for 2 weeks without success. I called 6 times, left messages and was just disconnected after 20 minutes on hold a couple times. I also tried to email 3 times and in desperation messaged them via iMessage. And was ignored by every means. Finally being desperate for supplies I called and wanted specifically the type of supplies I had and they set me a worthless piece of email. So I ordered myself and of course ordered the wrong stuff but now can't return it because I opened it. So I have to just throw that $200 out the window and try again. Never been extremely happy with the company but after they called and set up an appointment for me and then when the appointment time arrives and they say they don't have an appointment for me and want to schedule a week later, it's time to find someone else. I am writing this review based on a sleep study that I had on the night of July 27, 2018. This is a very difficult review to write. I want to review the business itself, and not the test - however, since the test is a "service" offered by the business, I think it's necessary to review both. If you are reading this, chances are that you have a sleep study scheduled here. I read some of these yelp reviews before my appointment, and they were helpful. I will try to make my review(s) helpful as well. First, let's start with Valley Sleep Center and their staff. I found the scheduling department to be very professional, but a little persistent, almost to the point of being "aggressive" when it came to scheduling my appointment. If you are unable to call them back right away, be prepared for LOTS of messages on your phone. This could be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. When I arrived the night of my study, I was greeted by very friendly staff. Toby was my technologist, and he was extremely courteous, kind, and professional. He has the right personality for someone in the healthcare field. Five stars for Toby! The room was clean, and the bathroom was very nice as well. The only strange thing I noticed was that the headboard of the bed was supported by two cinder blocks! Not sure if they are cheap, or if this is some kind of modern industrial-themed decor they've got going on. Sorry, Valley Sleep, but It stood out and detracted from the room. Now to review the sleep study, itself! Please understand that my review is based on MY experience, and that you may or may not have the same experience.....For your sake, I hope you don't! The sleep study was absolute misery. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I would rather have back-to-back root canals, then have another sleep study. No way, no how, no thank you! The wires and sensors weren't bad, and I actually got used to them after a while. It took a couple of hours, but eventually I nodded off. I didn't feel like I had actually slept, but Toby came in about 1:30, and said I had slept for about 2 hours. This is when things got bad. He indicated I needed to try cpap, which I had never done before. The first mask we tried just went under my nose - I lasted about 2 minutes before I was begging him to remove it. The second mask I managed to keep on for an hour or so, but I did NOT sleep. Cpap is very uncomfortable and awkward. I felt confined, constricted, claustrophobic, and suffocated. I have a medical background, and can attest to the FACT that a large percentage of cpap users take months, and even up to a year or more, to be able to fall asleep with a cpap device in place. I feel that the test expectations were not appropriate. I don't think it is reasonable to expect that someone in an unfamiliar test environment will fall asleep their first time on cpap. This is a sleep study, not a "keep you up all night and make you miserable" study. Sadly, that's just what happened. I did not sleep from 1:30 on. Two hours of sleep (maybe), and then I had to get into my vehicle and drive home - exhausted. Very dangerous! I'd also like to add that the environment was a bit noisy - it is very similar to a hospital setting. Throughout the night, I heard staff and patients communicating, the microwave oven opening, closing, and running, and I was also distracted by another patients very noisy breathing machine. If you have a sleep study scheduled here, go in with an open mind, but be prepared to be kept awake. If you live far away, DO NOT drive yourself - driving while sleep deprived is MUCH more dangerous than driving drunk! Good luck! read more

The worst, worst, worst Worst customer service people on the planet!!! The fact that the are loosely associated with health care makes it worse!!! I'm standing at the outside of the door at my scheduled appt time. 5 min before I get a call that my best friend of 45 years has been in a serious accident and is being taken to hospital. I am trying to get in touch with her husband to notify him. I am visibly upset and walk in for my appt 8 minutes late. The extreamly rude crew 3 of them all start telling me I'm to late, it's 10 after, Dr doesn't want to work late. I'm asked to talk to her. Nope she is with a patient. Then let me fill out paperwork 11 pages. I get done as patient is waking out. Hag zilla grabs my paperwork and says " like I said she is not going to see you today! I said I'm here, she is here and I need to get in. Nope she told me the Dr. made it clear that she doesn't want to work late. I said I'm not late, she said well your not getting in today with a smirk that made me see Red. I will never go to this place for anything nor will I let family and friends go. I called a different office to see if I could leave a message for the owner. Nope!! I said your telling me the owner does not have an asst or a voice mail. Nope. Leave an email and we will forward it to her! I said again you are telling me that there is nobody in the company I as a customer can talk to about how rude and unprofessional the Mesa office was. He said sorry you want the email again??? Unbelievable crappy run company where the owner and Mgmt is so isolated from customers they have no idea what is going on in their own offices! Post the # of the owner in every location and see how your bitter, lazy and unprofessional staff treats patience! Run don't walk from this place! read more
