I graduated from this school in the year of 2023 here is my honest and overall review. Teachers:Out of my 4 years attending this school I would say that i've seen a pattern with the teachers. This is that it's very hit or miss. I've had some teachers that were super caring, understanding, compassionate and willing to answer any questions I may have had concerning the material. Unfortunately other teachers i've had were unreasonable not very patient and hard to talk to. I would also like to mention one of my old English teachers Mr.reguiro he was awesome and made his class very engaging. As far as the people in this school usually as long as you are doing your own thing and minding your business no one will bother you i've made some great relationships during my 4 years. The food:Personally the cafeteria food wasn't too good but I mean what do you really expect it's a public school... Staff and advisors: it was a little hard to reach my counselors at times but when I finally did get the chance to sit down and talk to them they were very attentive to my needs and listened to my concerns/gave suggestions. read more

The organization of the cheer team has got to be one of the worse things I have ever experienced. Coach Montiel had other commitments (senior activities for c/o 2024) causing delays. Try outs were late in the summer. Causing payments for cheer to be due almost immediately. To this day cheerleaders have not received all outfits paid for. On top of that the nepotism is ridiculous. Coach Montiel has a daughter on the team as well as Coach Cecelia. The entitlement coach Cece daughter has is disgusting. Cheerleaders are punished for their mistakes but their DAUGHTERS will be excused for the same actions. The same mean girl attitude the daughters have is the same attitude the coaches give out. So disappointed to have ever allowed my child to join. read more

This is the for the dirty bathroom on opening day of swim lessons. I paid for 2 private sessions with Summer at 360 bucks you would think they could pay for a new bench in the bathroom or at least keep it clean and repaint it. Plus there was no bathroom toilet ring paper covers... Absolutely Horrible!! read more

Not only have I've been treated poorly by the staff and been treated so rudely as a parent I've had really bad experience by both ends from having to call the school and from actually goin in person. I had really high expectations for this school specially from coming from a San Bernardino high school it makes you think twice as a parent that you can be in the ugliest school in a really ghetto area but will be shown respect as a parent than coming to a very nice area and nice school and be treated very poorly by staff. read more

Mostly everyone has gone and experienced high school. For some it was great and the most fun they've had, for others it could have been the worse most unsatisfying years of their youth. A lot may have to do with the crowd they associated with, the school learning environment or the facility not caring for their students. Of course everyone has their own personal opinions on high school and they all vary. Valley View High School in Moreno Valley California is a great school. It's a great learning environment. They also have over sixty clubs and activities on campus. Valley View has a facility of teachers, counselors, supervisors, and administrators that care and encourage their students to participate in extracurricular activities and to strive for their very best. Valley View makes it easy for students to have success. The school is divided into three sections, the A, B, and C wing. In the A wing you can find each hallway with a plaque of the room numbers. Therefore it makes it much easier for new students or anyone looking for a class. Secondly, each student has a locker either in the A or C wing. Students can put their school work, textbooks, notebooks and more into their locker. During passing period they have the chance to go into their locker to get or to put away what is needed. This school has over sixty clubs and activities on campus for students. In Moreno Valley, Valley View is the only high school with a performing arts department. With budget cuts due to the bad economy Valley View High School is the only school that has fought and insisted to keep it. They have a choir, marching band, drama, and dancing classes with different levels and clubs. Recently they have started a boy's dance crew, which is another division of dance team. Valley has an Eco Club, French Club, swimming, football, and soccer who just won CIF's a year ago moving up to a division one school. To be a great and successful school I believe you must have a facility that cares for their students and encourages them to strive for the best. For every club there's an advisor, which has to be a staff member. Over sixty teachers or staff members give up their time without extra pay to be in charge of a club or activity when they don't have to. They chose to help students and make a difference in their lives. During lunch students have the option to attend tutoring at the school library; where teachers go form every subject to help those who need assistance. Every Tuesday and Thursday there is open door counseling where students can go during their lunch to talk to the counselors without an appointment. In the 2012 to 2013 school year Valley View High School went through Western Association of Schools and Colleges. WASC is a school accreditation committee. If a school a school were to fail this inspection the schools diploma wouldn't mean anything. It's a three day inspection process; which Valley View passed with flying colors. Also graduation rate increased twenty - three percent from the 2011 to 2012 school year. If you want a high school that will prepare you for college and will grow with you every step of the way. A school where the facility and staff will do anything to help a student pass a class, help them with their problems, and will go above and beyond to help student graduate from high school, prepare them for college and adulthood. Some of the staff members have little or no respect for the students. I have heard from many students that they are treated disrespectfully with rude remarks. For example, I have heard many bad things about the lady who works at the front desk in the main office. Also, one of the librarians can be rude at times. I dislike how they kick students out, sometimes without warning, when they are trying to use their school's resources. If there is a reason the library is unavailable, they should let students know politely. Simply say something like "Sorry, the library is unavailable because ____". Instead of "OUT NOW" or something like that. This doesn't just go for the library, any teacher should act politely and not "shoo" students away as if they were a fly. I understand that some teachers like to joke around like that, and that is fine, but there are some teachers who are just being rude. On the other hand, there are some teachers who are very respectful and make students feel comfortable as well. Thank you to those teachers. I appreciate it. read more
