After placing my online order, the website had an technical issue and failed to create my order at the physical store level. Not only that, but the order disappeared from my account so the only way for an update on the status was to call customer support. I placed the order on a Wednesday, for the next 2 days after placing the order, customer support told me that the order was looking good and not too worry. After waiting all weekend for some update, I still hadn't received an update on Monday. Luckily one customer support agent caught something weird in my order and noticed my order did not get put through to the store. Shane from this location called me and explained the situation, which surprised me since the customer support agent was supposed to call me back with an update. Within minutes I got an update regarding the label being created. Fast forward to Wednesday (1 week after placing the order) no update regarding the shipment. Shane helped verify that the guitar did indeed get picked up by UPS and was on its way. Later in the day I received a message that the guitar was in my area preparing for transfer. Never did I think that an online order would be so complicated, especially in 2026. I called customer support and spoke with a supervisor to express my frustration throughout my experience, and the supervisor repeatedly tried pinning the blame on the store instead of the faulty outdated website. The employees at this location were very respectful and understanding whenever I called, and helped me at every step of the way. Although I had the negative experience with the online side of Guitar Center, this store was a huge pleasure to work with and I really hope they are being compensated properly for their hard work.

After about a month or two, I was getting the wildest compliments during lessons "you're going to be a star" and "embrace the fame thats coming your way" "you are about to be on TV" I didn't understand what was going on or even what this TV show was. I was humble and didn't want to ask questions. Before one of the showcases, I was even supposed to have a private meeting with one of her "producers" to record. After long, I realized the same eager crowd that showed up at these "producer showcases" to perform & impress were mostly the same ones coming to lessons. I was told things like "you'll have album in three years" and because of her connections with music stars.....maybe even a collab with Carrie Underwood. There was also *tremendous* pressure to come online and leave a 5-star review. I felt uneasy that things which seemed private and confidential about other students were shared during lessons. I also realized that she seemed to share things about me that I wish she wouldn't have. I wish that I would have walked away when I got to the point I was at...and never got involved with her "showcases" and her producers. I wish I would have trusted the bad feeling in my gut about all of it. It felt like mind games, with the wild promises, and the producers, and how they never talked to me directly about what was going on. I would be ashamed to talk like this to my voice students, and Mr. Riggs probably wouldn't approve of this business modality either. Now, I am trying to find myself again after the grief this has caused in my life. Which is far more than can be fit in this review.

I took a new PRS guitar I had purchased at another shop in for some warranty work on a static noise…read moreissue coming through the body. I left the guitar with Guitar Gallery and the tech took my guitar off site to his own shop to troubleshoot and try to resolve the issue. After a couple weeks I called and was told he was still working on it but should have it finished soon. Finally I called and was told he was bringing it back over to the store and I could pick it up just before they closed. I picked it up and paid $65 for his time and efforts. He said the static was still present but was perhaps slightly less, and that the static could be coming from the plastic cover plates on the back of the guitar and he said he would make me new replacement covers of a different t material to see if that would alleviate the static. He said he would have them done in about a week. I brought the guitar home and discovered the vibrato trem arm was missing. I called the tech's cell the next day and he never answered or returned messages. I called the shop and they said they didn't know anything about the missing trem arm. After many many attempts I eventually gave up and just ordered a new trem arm from an online shop. I never heard from anyone again about the replacement back plate covers or my missing trem arm. I do not recommend taking a guitar to this shop for any repair. I'm out $65 for attempted repairs, and another $25 to replace the misplaced trem arm myself. Signed...Pissed in Peoria
