I originally called to have a lighting problem solved. As I spoke to everyone and tested their knowledge, I began to trust them and couldn't wait to see their product and work. Great group of people to work with. They fixed issues a previous installer had done incorrectly, diagnosed another lighting problem and installed over 30 new fixtures. In speaking with them, they were brought back to fix minor yard sprinkler issues and converted each planter to drip systems. They worked with issues my dogs may cause and not a problem yet. They ensured everything was professional and expertly done. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for and I wish I would not have wasted money on other contractors. Since, they have come back to make sure everything is working well, checked the systems as part of their service and put in a new WiFi timer and in line fertilizer system. Every year we have the same spots in our grass die, no mater what we try (aerating, fertilizing, watering more, etc.). I was sure we needed additional sprinklers added to our system. I contacted Valleyscape irrigation after seeing the great Yelp reviews and they met all of our expectations, and more! They were quick to respond to our request for an estimate, which we did through Yelp. When Taylor came out, he explained that our sprinklers were actually in good locations, but they had sunk over time, since our house is 12 years old. He gave a detailed estimate for two different options, a tune up, and an overhaul of the system. His estimates seamed fair and we ended up choosing the tune-up option. Taylor quickly scheduled the work to be done at a time that we were available. I was really impressed with his work ethic. Chris Blakely of Valleyscape is a Rock Star who fixed all my sprinkler issues in one hour flat that I have been dealing with for the past 5 months. He did it for a great price, even threw in some freebies, showed me how to program the cycles and adjust the controls and the sprinkler heads (to reduce or increase pressure and range) and gave me a one-year warranty. I wish I had called them a lot sooner and saved some precious water, and some costs, too.... Highly recommended! We needed to re-do our sprinklers in the backyard, so after doing some research, we got a bid from Valleyscape, which seemed fair, and we went for it. They are so professional, dependable, and competent, we would recommend them to anyone. On time, thorough, great work, using the latest "technology" in sprinkler systems. Our system was the original from when we moved into our house 30 years ago, and my husband had kept it limping along all these years. But now it works beautifully, gives complete coverage, and is water wise. We are so happy with this company. They even came back a few weeks after the installation, just to make sure everything was still working properly. One point I wanted to make....the day they came to do the work, they started early and stayed all day until the job was completely done, and everything was cleaned up. It even POURED rain for at least an hour while they were here, and we assumed they would pack up and leave, to return another day. But they just huddled under the eaves, waited it out, and once the clouds passed, got right back to work. Our sprinkler system went caput and we are not what you call, "handy" when it comes to that type of repair. So, I looked to Yelp for some advice and that is how I found Valleyscape Sprinkler and Irrigation. I didn't get to meet Taylor, but my husband said he was extremely courteous and professional. He found the problem was the timer box, which is probably about 18 years old and had simply outlived it's life expectancy. He also diagnosed a problem with one of the zones having a leak or something that would have been a much bigger, more expensive fix, but he was able to bypass and troubleshoot, so we didn't have to shell out a fortune to get our system running again. Had a water leak in a well water line out in the middle of a field. Chris was able to show up sooner than the window period quoted and called in advance as previously agreed - had a very pleasant, courteous and helpful attitude. He completed the work in a professional manner using quality parts - we even asked to have some extra shut-off valves installed. The final bill came in at less than the original quote. The irrigation system is over thirty years old and unlike the two irrigation companies that I had previously contracted with to fix previous problems, Chris indicated that he wouldn't have a problem with getting hold of my replacement parts just because they aren't available at the local discount big box stores. I called them on a Sunday and left a message regarding a broken sprinkler line in my backyard and received a call back first thing on Monday morning. Getting any contractor to call you, let alone in a timely manner, is an unusual event nowadays. The receptionist was very friendly, professional, and helpful over the phone and promptly set up an appointment within two hours the same day. Chris arrived at my house and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed a couple of other items that needed work. It was very apparent he really knew what he was doing and got it done in a short period of time. Most contractors create a huge mess when they work on anything and expect the customer to clean up behind them. This was far from the case with Chris. He was neat and left my yard in perfect condition when the jobs were completed. The price was very fair for the amount and quality of work performed. A very satisfied customer! It was a Sunday and I found water bubbling out the ground in an area with no sprinklers. I can normally repair things, but when you have no idea where it's coming from I had to find an expert. I did some web searching and came across a couple of companies and sent out e-mails. Taylor was first to call on Monday, said he was in the area and would check it out for me. He called me back in an hour and we set up a day for the repair. He arrived on time, found the problem and fixed it in about an hour. It was a blown out sprinkler in the grass. He checked the pressure on my system and it was at 90 psi. He suggested I install a pressure regulator, as 90 lbs. is too high. He came back a couple of days later and installed the regulator.
