Great experience with Omar and his crew! After several other companies either failed to return calls or didn't show for appointments, I was pleased to find Omar responsive and punctual. He came out to assess my overgrown property and a tree removal and was super friendly and personable during the visit. He was transparent with ky wife and I and extremely thorough in his assessment. When I say our property was overgrown, I mean it. About 6 months of unchecked growth mixed in with some terrible "wood chip landscaping" the previous owners had put in. Looked awful and I hated going outside. Add to that a tree that was apparently toxic to our new puppies and we really needed some professional help. Omar had a quote to me shortly after inspecting the property that was very fair. I agreed to move forward and his crew worked over the course of the next week on cleaning up every area around our house. It was a TON of work completed over several days and by a few different crew members. Everyone was thorough, respectful, and friendly. Our house looks like a house again! I actually enjoy walking out the front door again and our backyard was cleaned up down to the dirt ahead of putting grass in. From the beginning this company was hit and miss. At first they consistently showed up but then randomly they would be a no show with out any communication. Also, after the third visit for some reason they cut all my flowers in the middle of their blooming cycle and flattened the fronts of my trees for no reason. Till this day my trees are still flat in the front and are struggling to properly fill out and my flowers never came back. Another thing they did was move our day from Tuesday morning to Saturday morning and gave us no other choice. The final straw was when they illegally charged us money we didn't agree to. Before they charged our card we told them that it wasn't the amount that we agreed on and we weren't going to pay that. They charged it anyway so now we're working with the BBB and the FTC to report this crime. They charged $480 to remove mulch and replace it with mulch that WE purchased. We agreed that they would fertilize the plants check sprinklers and since they had to move the mulch anyway he wouldn't charge to throw the mulch on top. They didn't do any of that besides removing the mulch that they suggested and then putting the new mulch back. His reasoning for charging $480 was 6 hours of labor + 1 hour of travel time (30mins to and from) + 2 workers. They only stayed for 2 and half hours. I just want to say how grateful and happy we are with BluCrew Landscape. Our lawn & plants were dying due to faulty irrigation installation from our original contractor and we had unsuccessfully tried FOUR different landscaping services in hopes of rejuvenating our yard. Then we hired BluCrew and within 2 weeks Omar/Kenneth and their team had our yard completely transformed. All the faulty irrigation removed and replaced, dead grass removed and new soil/seed put down. Now everything is green and thriving and I am so grateful for the entire BluCrew team and their hard work, professionalism, excellent value of service and the awesome results they achieved! I needed a pair of palm trees on our property trimmed as I was tired of other landscapers continuing to leave their business cards and knocking on my door at all hours of the day asking to trim them. All I got was, "I'll be back in the neighborhood next week." Well he showed up at a random time the following week at time where I couldn't answer the door. I fired him. We've had an all-around unpleasant experience with these folks. They send out untrained and inexperienced staff if they show up at all. There is always an excuse for why they couldn't perform as promised and nothing is ever their fault. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews. Omar hides the bad ones by claiming anyone who is unhappy must be a competitor. I'm not a competitor, I just need my lawn mowed reliably. Excellent work! The tree beds were finished the way I requested. I had a particular way I wanted them prepped for my trees. They dug out clay dirt, edged the tree boxes with wire mesh and mixed the new dirt the precise way I wanted. Now I can have my fruit trees planted and it's going to look gorgeous when done. The guys were so easy to work with. I can be a picky person and I had no problem having them cover every corner to my satisfaction. I also want to make note, the guys were very respectable. Professional, hard working and we highly recommend them. We have a large slope that needed some serious help. BluCrew came in, fixed our irrigation first ... then they cleared the slope and put down jute netting to help protect it. Next, they planted 100 flats of purple ice plant (our choice). They were meticulous at planting and gave us the proper watering schedule to gaurantee success. We cannot wait for the ice plant to fill in the slope ... it already looks fantastic. I was happy enough with BluCrew in 2021 to have them come out again and do a bigger job in May 2022. They did a nice job in spite of labor shortages that dragged the job out for longer than anticipated. I was patient with the extended time (they left a pile of rocks in my yard and driveway and then left for several days to go finish another job, without warning me they wouldn't be back). I was eventually happy with the overall result. I did find it unconventional (suspicious?) that they asked for CASH (not a check, actual cash) for a $4000 job and requested a yelp review for a discount, which I know is against yelp's standards. Unfortunately the sprinkler valve they installed failed less than two months later, and they wouldn't come out to check it without charging me $75 per hour plus parts. I am disappointed with the fact that they don't stand behind their work and I won't use or recommend them again. I had hoped to continue to support their family-owned business, and was already planning to contact them about my front yard for next summer, but I will hire a professional for the job next time, and make sure I have a contract with a warranty for the work they perform. For the cost of replacing a bad sprinkler valve, they have lost my business. Meanwhile, I do have a gardener who will take care of BluCrew's faulty valve installation for me, and I am happy to recommend him for weekly yard maintenance, if that is what you need. Although the work was performed to my satisfaction, there were many problems that occurred during my dealings with your company. My appointment for the estimate was 7:30 - 8:30 am, for which I arranged to take a half day at work. At 8:23 am, with no word on why the estimator had not yet arrived, I sent an email to see what the delay was. About 9:07 am I called the office. Nobody answered and I had to leave a voicemail. I did receive an email response at 9:17 stating that the estimator was "just finishing up his previous appointment and should be there around 10:30." This required me to take the entire day off, burning 8 hours of hard earned paid time off. When the estimator did arrive I shook his hand and was told that the measurements would take about 15 minutes and the estimate would be sent to me via email. Why did I have to take an entire day off in order to have a 20 second interaction with the estimator? This could have been handled without my presence. read more
