This is our new go-to coffee stop in Prescott. The owner waited on us at our car and was so welcoming and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their coffees (most of which they roast in house). The coffee itself is amazing. Our first visit I had the apple spice with half and half and light honey. It was mild and delicious. The next time we went I got the dark roast, also delicious. Valo Coffee in Prescott seriously blew me away.. this is hands down some of the best coffee I've ever had! Their menu is refreshingly simple yet totally customizable. You pick your drink style, your beans, your milk, and whether or not you want sweetener. I ordered an iced cappuccino made with black cacao Mexican beans and whole milk... and wow. The coffee was so smooth and rich, it tasted like it had sweetener, but it didn't. Just pure, high-quality flavor. It honestly reminded me of the incredible coffee I had in Tulum, Mexico. Another thing I loved? When they hand you your drink, they ask you to taste it first and are happy to adjust it if needed. My son ordered a hot chocolate, and when he tried it, they asked if he wanted more chocolate or sweetener. He added more chocolate, and they thoughtfully suggested balancing it with a bit more sweetener. He said it was the best hot chocolate he's ever had! Incredible coffee, thoughtful service... I was amazed at the attention to detail in preparing the beans for extraction! I have seen plenty of weighing the coffee after grinding when preparing the portafilter. But I haven't seen grinding several beans individually and then weighing each type of bean into the portafilter for the perfect grind of each bean and the perfect blend! This was by far the best espresso extraction I have ever had from a Decent espresso machine! Way to go Austin! Keep up the great work! They also roast their own beans so they are definitely fresh roasted. They also offer a nice seating area with quiet atmosphere for tasting the various beans. They allow you to choose which beans you want them to blend. It's definitely worth the trip! read more

Just tried Valo Curbside. Gotta say, "incredible service, and really excellent latte". My wife is a wonderful person, but she is an incredible latte snob. She needs her latte in the morning and has had them all over the world. She took her first sip, smiled and said, "this is really exceptional!" It is quite a bit out of the way for us, but we will definitely be back. The only thing negative is that I would have liked to have the option to order a larger size. It is that good. This place is so cute. The workers are so kind and very welcoming. This was my first time there so for a first impression I was impressed. You choose your coffee beans, I chose the peanut butter ones I can't remember where those were from but it was so yummy I also did vanilla as my sweetener in a latte. It was perfect. I had asked for oat milk but they ran out. The barista accidentally made mine with whole milk but before that she had me try my drink to make sure it was sweet enough to my liking. Which is awesome. Other places here will give you the eye if you ask them to have your drink sweetened more. And then she told me about the milk. She offered to remake it with other dairy options as she was out of oat. Or a full refund and I could still keep my drink. The coffee was so good I kindly told her it was ok! But the customer service here is top notch. So kind, so understanding. There's not much of that around here. I'm absolutely coming back to try different coffee beans! read more
