Also, after using hearing amplifiers that I had purchased on Amazon for about 2 years, I didn't think that "professional" hearing aids would work much better. I'm glad to say I was wrong on both issues. I had the pleasure to meet and be tested by Robyn Shapiro at Advanced Audiology in Hollywood in mid January 2018. She discussed the areas where she thought my hearing could be improved, as well my background and lifelong occupation as a musician. The following week, I started "demoing" a pair of hearing aids that she felt met my needs and financial situation and that she had programmed to match my hearing loss. To say that I had a Wow moment when they were placed in my ears is an understatement. I see now that this purchase is as much about hearing improvement, as it is about choosing the right person to support the devices over the course of time. I couldn't be more satisfied. The first day Gloria spent a couple of hours with my mom (and me) to explain about the different kinds of hearing aids. My mom had a hearing test, tried on different hearing aids, the charging ones work better for my mom so she doesn't need to deal with tiny batteries, checked out the different colors to blend with her hair, then learned how to use different functions, some are simpler than others. Did you know hearing aids connect with a smart phones/TVs and some can even notify me if my mom fell! YES!!!) Gloria is a plethora of information, great teacher, very patient and such a happy person! I told her that when my hearing deteriorates that I will definitely see her. Bring your insurance card, she will figure out how that works regarding hearing aids. One last thing.. her office staff are wonderful and on time! I'm not a person who makes reviews... but this hit the spot... people need to know this exists!

They told me to come in for an interview so I flew in from the other side of the country to do this. When i got there to do an interview they had me sitting in the waiting area for an HOUR only to tell me they weren't going to be interviewing me and turned me away without even speaking to me after having me fly out for this "opportunity". They made a mistake on our billing statement and refused to resubmit the claim to United Health Care for my son. Keeping my son from being able to see the Dr Travis again. Their billing department is not only lazy, they are unprofessional and unethical on many levels. The billing staff member I spoke to from SFENT not only refused to resubmit the claims BUT also told me she couldn't because" her supervisor told her not to " when I asked to speak to her supervisor she said her supervisor was in a meeting. My son is 3 years old and my insurance has paid out thousands to this provider. Their staff is very unprofessional and untrained on billing. Would not recommend
