I have shopped here a lot and for years and I've always had a good experience but I went in and I bought a gold chain and I paid $660 for it and come to find out it hit on a magnet so I went and had it tested again and the gold rubbed off. So what I had on the receipt versus what they had in their system, they said was a different weight and they went and checked their system and then they only gave me $550 back for the chain which is a loss already right there and then they wouldn't give me my cash back. They only would give me store credit , and I had bought a pendant to put on that gold chain and I ended up having to sell the pendant back to them and they didn't even give me full price for it to pay extra for the fake chain that they gave me . not a good experience was just happy it wasn't a total loss read more

Customer service is always top notch! Shauna, Devien, Aria or Jessica...it doesn't matter who services you, you're in good hands. If you're looking for a specific item and can't find it with the selection immediately available, they will let you know when something will be available soon. With their points back system, you're able to make purchases cheaper than the price you'll negotiate. The value on almost all of their merchandise is reasonable or can be negotiated. Great place. A company that moves money and charges top dollar for loans should be up to date with payment options. You can not use check, money order, credit card, wire or do an online payment. Do not go back to the 20th century. Find a company that is up to date. Would not recommend. read more

I used to buy many items here but recently about 1/2 the time the item was defective and they only warranty items if you pay extra, for limited time store credit only. So I'm very selective and test items in-store now. Recently they seemed to have replaced almost the whole staff with young women who are more interested in chatting with each-other than assisting customers. I had to ask for assistance repeatedly; they never greeted me or offered assistance. I asked some questions about availability , and they literally ignored me; they glanced at each other instead as if to say CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS OLD LADY- she thinks we'd SPEAK to her! And after purchasing a heavy bread-maker and other heavy items, they we back to chatting and ignoring me as I struggled to get them to my car. No offer to help. Rude, rude rude. There is a heavier set lady named Jennifer, when negotiating a video game, she was extremely rude and mouthy. Got loud in front of customers and my son......over a $3 difference in negotiation. Very unprofessional, went up the street to another pawn shop and not only walked out with the better version of the game my son wanted, also $25 cheaper and the people were extremely courteous. When I told them the experience I had at Value Pawn, they knew exactly who I was dealing with as they have heard other customers complain about her. Stay away from that Value Pawn, just flat out nasty, understaffed and stay away from Jennifer who has absolutely no sense in customer service or how to speak to people. Nasty nasty person. read more

Excellent store for picking up used DVDs. Jewelry prices are good, also. Sometimes the service can be slow, for example on a Saturday night when everyone is trying to pawn their stuff to get cash to "party". Occasionally, you may encounter some less than stellar clientele doing business. read more

The sales people are nice, but the managment is very rude! They usually have good used Car Audio subs and amps. The last time I went there looking for a lawn mower the manager was very rude, told me I have to high of expactions. I told him what I wanted and let him know his price was a little high can you work with me and he just asked "Well, how long have you been in the pawn business?" This was the 2nd time the managment here was rude. I went online and found a better mower on Craigslist in 5 min for 1/3 of the price he was asking. I was shocked and 2 summers later I am still using this mower. Value Pawn is bad people. Recently I tried to sell them gold and was offered $125 for 1 oz of .999 pure gold. WTF?! Spot is currently at $1,322 a real offer would be $1,100 which I got $1,250 selling it right down the street. read more

If I didn't have to put a star I would have voted 0! This place lied straight to our face when we asked if we drove all the way back out of our way if they could help us and they said it would be worth it. We lived 40 min away and told the guy what price we wanting the motorcycle for and he said he'd be able to help us. After coming back with the keys for them and everything with the bike was perfectly fine besides some off coloring the guy tried to offer us 500$!!!! Out of 1500 !!! After we told him the other place offered us 800 and he agreed to that being unfair. They were rude and they didn't satisfy me at all. After that we ended up going elsewhere and getting 1200 for the bike. Just goes to show they were trying to scam. Don't go to this place if you know what's good for you!!!! Worst place every and the manger BILL ( if he is a manager?) need manger skills and training treat please the wai you wanna be treated!! He must don't know if people don't support your business then you don't have A JOB!! And cowards hide in th back room before running off say leave I'm not gonna help u I'm gonna call appt bay police !! What's that all about?? I asked for the manger of the store and tel # and he walks off telling me what he was gonna do!! Well as a manger if you handled the situation right you would have have the name and number!! As I read other reviews I see I'm not the only one taking out my time to warn people this is not a place to support since there are a lot of other pawns shops that would respect and appreciate your business we work hard for our money/ product to sell to them to be treated less then!! Buyer beware, bought diamond engagement ring a few years ago,and just found out it is clarity enhanced which means glass filled. The Federal trade commission(the feds) say they have to disclose this information; if not they are breaking the law. Not worth it. Stone wasn't done by Yehuda who invented the process. They have beautiful stones.I am reporting this company to the F.T.C. btw diamonds as small as 00.2 points can be glass filled. This store did not disclose to me ever about this and I WAS a customer for seven years. Thanks for nothing,and good luck with the FEDS. I WOULDN'T BUY ANYTHING HERE OR ANY OF THEIR STORES. If you bought a diamond there have it checked,because if you need a prong fixed they use heat and it refractures and is costly to fix. To add insult to injury the setting this "diamond" sits in was too small for this stone, meaning they take in your trade and I believe supposldly they take out the the original diamond diamond in the setting and put the glass filled stone back in so they make twice as much. They have to give you back your money period. Look at your receipt and if it doesn't say enhanced get it appraised see what you have. If it was an option a give a zero rating based on my experience i would ;/. Don't give them your diamond to fix or rhodium plate you don't know what you'll get back in my opinion.
