The person fulfilling the order sent me updates or clarifying questions about substitutions when applicable. Items that they did not have were refunded and delivery was fast. Fancy looking bag of nuts with an exotic-sounding flavor that you might not buy at $7 retail? It's on sale for a dollar here - why not try it! You can find tons of SUPER cheap brand name goods here, with some single-serve snacks starting at just 10 cents. The selection is always changing, so every time you go, there are new treats waiting to be discovered. One thing you do have to be prepared for / watch out for are items past their expiration or Best By dates. The reason some of the items (not all of them) are so low is because they are quickly approaching or have past those dates. For most non-perishable snack foods, I'm totally fine if they are a month or so past the Best By date, and I also find plenty of things that are not even close yet. If you're traveling a couple hours home like me, make sure to pack a cooler because they also have refrigerated and frozen food sections. P&R is definitely a neat place to check out if you like to bargain-hunt!

She pointed out and helped me look in places it may have been and even checked in the backstock for me. She made my experience better. However, if the guy i first talked to was a manager, I would definitely recommend for him to go through extensive training or be fired because due to that interaction alone, I will not be back. My most recent stop was only to pick up some sliced almonds ($3.29) for a recipe -- an item that the two nearby Dollar Stores didn't carry. While there, I also passed a nice display of dried chili peppers, and bought some arbol chilis on whim ($2.29 for 3 oz). Relative to the grocery stores closer to my home, Weis has a far more extensive selection of items. For example, the fruits and vegetables, and salad bar, seem gigantic in comparison. And, as mentioned, I was able to pick up a specialty item, the arbol chilis that aren't available closer to home. Prices are seemingly a bit higher than home, and higher than some groceries stores headed towards Scranton but you'll save some on gas! One odd thing. I found on my receipt that I had earned a few Weis Rewards Points that could be used for gas at Weis' Gas-and-Go, Sunoco, or Mirabiro Fuel locations. However, the points were expiring the very next day (on Nov 25). I am happy to have this store in Carbondale. Staff were friendly. Check-out was easy. Parking was plentiful.

The employee I encountered acted astounded when I asked to use a phone. I explained to her my situation and she then said she "had to ask" if I may use a phone. She got another cashier and they stood discussing my problem while I stood there while a phone was less than a foot from me. Rather than add to the more than 10 minutes I waited I chose to leave and use the phone at Burger King..what if this were a life threatening emergency? This Weis is a little on the small side for a supermarket and is a bit dated inside. It's not hip…read morein any way, and the size limits the selection a bit. But unless you need an obscure product or are looking for a third-tier brand, you can likely find what you need here, and the customer service is very good. You can easily find an employee who will help you find what you need. They train their cashiers to do that thing where they stand in front of their lane when they don't have customers so that they can welcome people in, and once they're ringing people up, the cashiers are polite, personable and professional, and eager to help when appropriate. If you have several supermarkets nearby, there's probably no reason to go out of your way to go here, and if you need a particularly wide selection, I wouldn't count on finding what you want here, but if you're nearby and looking to buy standard groceries, I think you'll have a good experience at this Weis.
