Will never be coming back. They never asked me what kind of oil my car took and charged me 50 extra dollars for premium oil without talking to me first. They also charged me 44 for an oil filter when that wasn't discussed either. They are supposed to ask what kind of oil the car takes and talk to the customer before doing anything that involves spending extra money. I went in for an oil change and ended up paying $120 will never be coming back again. Save your money and go to walmart. read more

This place is Full of shit. Don't waste your time or money here. I sent my wife here to get a quick oil change. She was charged $120.00 for full synthetic when the workers never ask her what type of oil she wanted to use. Also to add to that they charged what the call extra because she had a canister style oil filter which is straight bull shit. The tech proceed to ask about her engine filter then charged her 35$. I've never in my life heard of someone getting at oil change unless it diesel and pay over 100$ for 4.1qts of oil. This place is a scam. Be careful. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. I brought my car here a couple months ago (just got around to writing this) and they didn't even ask what kind of oil and gave me the most expensive one, and the guys working were very rude and didn't even explain why they used that oil. They "changed" the oil and the filter just for the notification to come up on the screen in my car that I needed an oil change. I thought that was weird so I took it somewhere else and it turns out they didn't even change the oil. They showed me the color of the oil and the filter when they pulled it out and I was very frustrated. They charged me over $120 for this "oil change" just for it to not even be changed. Lucky Christian Brothers automotive ACTUALLY changed the oil for me. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, rude workers with no urgency, and they just try to scam you out of your money. read more

This location did an oil change on my truck and left the air box unscrewed. In doing so they left the bolts and their screwdriver on my windshield cowling. Accidents happen right. They also over filled my wife's car on its first oil change and didn't replace the dipstick causing the entire engine bay to be misted with oil costing us money at the dealership to have cleaned and corrected. Contacted the store to have things made right and was told I "could of gotten a free oil change if I had brought it back to them". After years of frequenting this location I won't be back. read more

I took my car it to get emissions and it passed all accept my windows were to dark. I bought this car car over a year ago and it passed last year so I'm stumped why it wouldn't pass this year. Bryan the guy who did the test was a complete ass. I have had cars not pass because of exhaust issues but they have always said get it fixed we didn't put it in the system. This idiot didn't even give me the courtesy of doing so. His excuse was this is how "they" taught me so that is what I'm doing. I had asked another worker if that is standard and he said when it comes to a window tint thing or a blinker out we usually won't put it I've system to give you a chance to fix it. Do not go to this place if you expect customer service. Especially don't get the guy Bryan to help you out. He probably doesn't even know what he is doing. Don't get taken by this place they have no manors. Just a side note also I asked if I ripped the tint off right now would he pass me and he told me a flat out NO! Why not? His response is that wasn't how we were taught. Well to me it's like this, have some customer service skills or learn some Bryan because your answers suck. Or get retrained Good thing I have a big mouth and don't mind spreading this story around. This is my first yelp review and I'm not usually a person that does this but I'm so upset with this service I want to get the word out about this place because it's not a fun experience and don't want anyone taken by Bryan again at Valvoline. Rude and Unprofessional. I had to listen to them laughing and talking about me while they were finishing my oil change. When I informed the service technician that everyone in the waiting room could hear them talking about customers and that it was unprofessional, his response was "ok". If you are ever in need of any car care this is the place to go in Midlothian. First impressions are everything in the service industry and I didn't even have to leave the comfort of my vehicle for their exceptional service to start. From top to bottom this is by far the best place to go to get your vehicle serviced. I unfortunately visited a competitor in the area ( penzoil) before coming here. The experience has been like night and day! I will tell you coming from a family in the car business if you want good help and people that are here for you and not for themselves, this is the company to come to. read more

Bad service from new owner Craig Rudolph - due to incompetent oil technicians he had at the time - they did a faulty/bad oil change on my BMW caused excessive oil to spill into my alternator causing my vehicle to stall out on me at least 3 times and finally caused my engine to stop working on my car. Total cost to repair my vehicle exceeded $2,500.00 - In which, Mr. Rudolph promised to pay - I only received lip service - he is not a man of integrity. My 17 year old daughter let them come to her work and pick up her car to do an oil change. Bad mistake on her part and she now knows not to ever let anyone take her car. They brought the car back and charged her $65, but had no receipt. I called this morning and spoke with Jose, the "manager". He told me they charged her $28 for synthetic oil, the best. I told him she did not need synthetic oil, to which he replied "we didn't have her phone number to call and ask her", to which I replied "YOU KNEW WHERE SHE WORKS BECAUSE YOU PICKED UP HER CAR 3 MINUTES BEFORE." He refused to fax me the receipt, told me if I want it, I would have to come in and get it. I told him I will be calling corporate and the BBB, then he suddenly asked me for my fax number. I told him he took advantage of a 17 year old high school girl. She has since learned her lessons from this BUT she was also trying to be grown up and handle things on her own, which I praise her for. It's a shame that the people at Valvoline in Midlothian, TX don't respect that and instead robbed this young girl of her money! They refuse to refund the $28. read more

I stopped by Valvoline Express for a oil change on 26 June 2017. This would have been my fourth visit for oil changes, also used them for state inspections. Price used to be a little more than others nearby, but I continued to use them because of their consistent professional and how they took care of my car. I have no problem paying a 'small' premium for quality service. This is why they scored three stars and not lower. Today I was told that they had a recent policy change on customer used oil. Going forward they would be charging $69 for a oil change regardless if they provided the oil and filter or if the customer brought in their oil/filter. I was charged $39 in the past (not 100% sure on that amount, but it was in the neighborhood). I can't justify 100%+ price premium. So I left, drove one block to a competitor and had the oil changed for 30 dollars and some change. Sorry Valvoline Express, you just lost a potential long term loyal customer. read more
