I have getting my oil and air filters replaced here for years! I usually have my husband do this type of stuff but I am confident I can do this all by myself. It's a drive through system not unlike a car wash you stay in your vehicle the entire time as they service the car. The technicians Travis, Devin and their team were helpful and knew what they were doing. When someone needed help they quickly asked help from another employee that did know exactly what to do. Never and I mean NEVER leave without searching for a coupon!! This visit I found one for $25 off a synthetic oil change. You have more than enough time while in your car to do a quick Google. I have a work vehicle. Ask for an oil change and tire rotation. They forgot to change my oil and the manager yelled at me. He said do you want an oil change I said yes and you said I needed a tire rotation. He went off on me about that. Then only rotated my tire. I will never go back. They had employees standing around doing nothing and the bay next door they drain the transmission fluid. And they did not have that fluid in stock. Poor service poor customer communication. Manager needs a job that he does not the public. read more

They put the wrong oil in my car and refused to take accountability for the mistake. Having the wrong oil in my car caused engine light to stay on. Gave incorrect information to get me to think that the light would turn off on its own. Saying that there was a call back, but there really wasn't. The engine light never turned off. Reached out to customer service. Manager very unprofessional -I wanted help so I could drive my car again and he hung up saying it's your problem not his. That I shouldn't expect a call back from anyone cause the area manager doesn't return calls. Very aggressive and raising voice when communicating. Have been unable drive my car distance for 9 days because of them. read more

Got here at 9am on a Wednesday and was next in line to be brought into the stall. Waited almost an hour before even being moved forward into the stall, and then my simple oil change took 45 minutes. The staff member helping me kept going outside to vape while I was waiting, and they made it evident whoever was working on actually performing the oil change was not competent as they needed to keep checking they were doing things correctly and yelling to keep them on task. Not to mention - very unprofessional communication happening between team members. I've been here 2-3 times and am always dissatisfied with the service. Will not be returning. read more

Rough day to be in line to get an oil change. My advice to anyone, don't wait behind a service van. They require fleet memberships that take forever to get authorization. Not at all the service guys faults. Just a "wait time" approximation would have been nice. read more

In times where many services are short staffed, this place continues to do its best. people posting negative reviews because of their lack of understanding & frustration is completely asinine. Before showing up and expecting a place to use "other parts", or there to "not be some sort of wait period" --- lord help you. There are so many ways to "help yourself" & sometimes a simple phone call to ask questions before showing up- or checking on wait times isn't hard to do. Got an oil change a few days ago. Today the skid plate under my car engine fell off. Looks like it never got put back on correctly.

Better than I anticipated it would be. I came to valvoline instant oil change today because I figured they would be quick and I didn't want to wait around for a long period of time. I was not disappointed! They were professional and quick. cost for a full synthetic oil was $55 for my truck. The price was normal so no worries there. The one thing that impressed me was the speed in which they worked. Total time was 22 minutes!!! They did top off the fluids for me and before they even began I told them I'm not interested in having my air filters changed so don't ask me about it. That helped to speed things up a bit. The waiting area had free coffee so I'm not complaining. I can always use a cup of joe. Overall, it was a good experience and I will be back for the next oil change. read more

I was completely refused service by Stephen due to my leaky OEM filter. I had this car for 10 years in CA and a family member now has it in MN. It sometimes has a problem sealing where the filter is. Ive had the best luck bringing in my own OEM filters when I get it changed. Even though I mentioned the problem and presented them with a nee OEM filter when I pulled in, Stephen refused to service my car stating 'company policy' since I didn't want one of their filters. I asked why. He couldn't state a reason due to a warranty or guarantee after their service, other than my records on a Carfax would show Valvoline did the oil change and if it was leaking it would look bad. So I assume he's worried about reviews, ratings, and word of mouth. I understand shops not wanting to let customers supply outsides parts, but that didnt seem to be the issue. Im not certain but they may even charge a set price for a synthetic change, and they would actually save themselves the cost of giving my a filter. I've done my oil change on this same car at least 3 other times at various Valvolines, always bringing an OEM filter and explaining the seal problem with no issues, until this location. So here ya go Stephen, smart move. I've been using your locations on multiple vehicles for years and will not be coming back. read more

Attempted to get an oil change and they didn't have the correct filter. Stated they would order it in. Returned and they didn't have the correct oil viscosity for my vehicle even after I called to see if they could complete the service. Also stated because my car doesn't have a dipstick they may not be able to do the service. (Audi's haven't had dipsticks for several years...almost a decade) My vehicle is outside of warranty service. Kid on the phone was a hack who lied about me calling. If you drive a European VW/Audi/BMW avoid this place at all costs. You'll waste your time. They can only service basic or low end American cars. read more

Holy cow, I can't believe I'm even writing this. In my life I have never given an auto service business a negative review. I work in the automotive maintenance and repair industry, and I know those guys work their butts off. But I have to say something. I pulled up to the Chaska location earlier this evening and parked in line behind three other people. A guy jogged out to greet me and asked how he could help. I replied with "I'm just looking for an oil change like everyone else in line." He proceed to ask me what the f**k that was supposed to mean (yes he dropped the f-bomb, multiple times) then went off about how I was being an a***ole, how he had a long f***ing day and didn't need my s**t, and that we could either "push the reset button and start over" or I could take my f***ing car somewhere else. I never raised my voice and never showed any anger to the guy, I just told him I hoped his day was better tomorrow and backed out. It's probably also important to note that my wife and I have lived in Chaska less than 2 miles from this store for 12 years, and have been coming to this place with all of our cars since it opened. I really don't like to give negative reviews but...I pulled in behind a pickup that cut me off. We ended up in separate lanes and we each had one vehicle ahead of us. 15 minutes later when the stall cleared I inched ahead and was told I needed to wait behind the pickup because he was in line before me. Took my benz there today and I live in CA and always take my car to Valvoline to have done and never had any issues. It was about 8:45 when I pulled in and the first thing I was told is that they don't do oil changes on cars that don't have dipsticks. I said thats odd bc I've never been told that before, but he said he woyld make an exception. Ok perfect they get oil change done and guy is under the car and breaks a metal bracket or something off below. I can here both of them talking and the gentleman uptop goes and gets a metal bracket of some sort and hands it to the guy below. Says nothing to me about. When you break something on someone's car you tell them no matter how small. They also "couldnt" check all my fluids. Wasn't great service probably won't be back. Unsure why these Valvoline mechanics are not educated as the one's in CA are on foreign cars. May be few and far in between but they should be able to do the service if you offer it which you do. read more

I got a coupon for $19.99 conventional oil change. My car takes conventional, and I called ahead and they said they had the exact type of conventional oil for my car. When I arrive I talked to the mechanic, and he said yes my car takes conventional oil, no problem. A new mechanic guy comes to tell me that they don't have that type of conventional oil, so now the price fro my oil change is going to jump up to at least $60. I told him I called ahead. No response to that, just that they don't have the right kind so I have to pay for half synthetic or all synthetic. OK so here I am scammed into paying $45 (coupon applied). Then some mechanic comes in and tells me, here is your air filter and here is your oil filter, which one do you want changed? Well obviously the oil filter is ALWAYS changed with an oil change, included in the charge. I tell him obviously I want the oil filter changed and he walks out as he says that will be $20. What? Next some guy walks in with my dip stick to let me know that he definitely changed my oil. Good for you. That is the whole point of me being here, I sure hope you changed it without me HAVING to look at my dip stick. So the guy tries to charge me $67!!!! I could have gotten a better deal at my dealership and the dealer would have additionally had the condition of my tires evaluated, and tires rotated. So, why am I being charged so much? I ask the guy why the oil filter price would have been an extra $20, and he says you wanted your air filter changed. UH No I didn't. I asked him if he showed me 2 air filters, and he said no. So I said well I told you I wanted my oil filter changed, not my air filter. DUH! So put the old one back in. This is the oldest trick in the book. I am NOT AN IDIOT, and I know I can buy my own filter for a fraction of the price and drop it in myself. I ask him so did you actually change the oil filter then? Yea he says. OK? So where did this guy get confused? I end up paying $45, when I was told beforehand that the $19.99 coupon would definitely apply to my car with my required oil. Then the guy didn't even reset my "Maintenance Required" alert, which has been on now since I just brought my car in - due to needing an oil change. He tells me to re-set it myself. OH MY GOD I have never been told to do it myself. That is part of their job, so when I questioned him, he fixed it, but with an attitude. Then I see they never took off my last oil change sticker and I don't know where the new one is. And he says I stuck it to your paperwork, goodbye! WOW you can't even put a sticker on the windshield? I sure hope they even put the right oil in. These people either don't know what they're doing, or they think they can scam someone because they assume we don't know any better, and I DON'T APPRECIATE IT!
