One thing to note there's not really a waiting area at this shop but the location is only a 8 min walk from a great coffee shop and the library where you can spend time until your vehicle is finished. I would highly recommend coming here to get your vehicle inspected and worked on.

He stated that the mechanic who…read moredid the work on my vehicle no longer works for him and Mike is refunding me the cost of having to put the second set of pads on as well as the entire cost of the caliper that never should have been put on the car in the first place. I find it ironic that the owner Mike states in his history blurb that he started the shop because he was tired of seeing people get ripped off, well that's exactly how I feel, ripped off by Sanderson Automotive. I thought we were doing a good thing by trying to support a local mechanics shop when my Focus, that I had been taking to Ricart for service for years needed new brake rotors and pads. I will say that Sanderson got us in quickly, but then also found that we needed a new battery and they stated that the lug nuts on the wheels were swollen and needed replaced, so that's also a lie when they state that they don't "find" things that need replaced on your car, they do. So this was a $986 bill. The very next day when I was driving to work the car was making a horrible scraping noise, as if i were dragging a sheet of metal behind the car. So I called them and they did get me in the same day to look at the car. By the time I had left work early to get this issue looked at the car had stopped making the noise, so naturally they didn't find anything. Next, a few weeks later the car started making a horrible rattling noise every time I went over the smallest bump. So once again I have to take my car back to them and they said this time that it was the brake caliper over retracting and causing it to rattle. The noise definitely came from the rear passenger side, and when they diagnosed the problem they asked if i wanted to have both calipers replaced. I said no because it was already going to be $371, and why would I replace something that wasn't broke? Sure enough within two days of having the caliper replaced the same exact noise was coming from the driver side of the car. At this point this all seems far too coincidental, the manager, Josh, that I had been dealing with the entire time, stated that there was no harm in driving with the car like this as it was not a safety issue. So by this point I'm tried of having my car into their shop, so I just let it go for a while. We finally decide it's time to have the issue taken care of so we take the car back to Ricart, at this point I don't trust Sanderson. I explained to Ricart what they had previously done to the car and after their inspection they called and said that there was nothing wrong with the brake caliper, and that whoever had installed my brake pads last time forgot to put the anti-rattle clips on the pads. Sure enough two days later and not a single rattling noise. So at this point I have had brake pads installed on the car twice in six months and a caliper replaced for no reason and I'm out $679 and hours of my time because of Sanderson's incompetence. Also, we were contacted by the owner, Mike, via text a few months ago about how our experience was and we mentioned that it was not good and we have received no response. As of writing this we also called and left a voicemail asking for them to call us and explain why they didn't installed the clips and then missed it a second time when I went back and they decided to charge us for a caliper. It has been two days with no response. In summary, Sanderson's will be happy to take your money, charge you for things you don't need and never call you back. Save yourself they hassle and don't patronize them.

They denied covering the cost of a new engine because when we had it towed to another shop closer to home, after the mechanics there removed the original oil filter and discarded it. Even though our new mechanic took pictures of where the oil plug should have been and confirmed that it had fallen out, Goodyear would not cover their mistake. We ended up having to pay for the new motor ourselves out of pocket. Because of this, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles here again. Apparently, loyalty is a one way street with Goodyear.

I had the car taken to Grandview AAA. They were extremely busy due to the bad weather. To make a long story short my car was serviced on Tuesday and I was able to pick it up on Wednesday afternoon after work. It was a valve and serpentine belt issue. It was repaired. Going to work on Thursday morning, the battery and engine light came on. I took it back to Grandview. As BUSY as they were they bumped me to the front of the line. It seems the belt had come off. They ordered the part needed. I was able to wait for my car. Denise, the Manager, offered me a ride home and pickup when the car was ready, but I declined. I was there so I waited but I appreciated the offer. The problem was resolved and I was able to leave with only 3 hours down time. They were very concerned about ME. I want to state the car is 18 years old. The reason I have had the car for 18 years is the service I have received at AAA. Denise and Jordan and my mechanic Tyler were most helpful, and courteous, kind and never, never, ever complained when I had to bring the car back. I am a senior citizen, and I greatly appreciate the concern and care not only for my car but for me. I have been a loyal AAA customer and will continue to do so. I am planning on getting a new car this Spring and wanted this car to hold out until then. Now, I know it will. I tried calling at 4:30 and was on hold for over 20 minutes. I finally got a text at 5:00 stating my car was done. I spoke with Denise at checkout and told her the wait was not acceptable. She explained that they had 15 cars towed in that day along with all of the appointments. Uggh. She offered me a discount for my next service. Great value with the coupon. I bought tires for my van on Jan 15th 2026. I also bought a front end alignment for $130. The right…read morefront tire was leaking. We were not driving the van as we were having huge snowstorms and the van was covered with 10" of snow. My husband and I are retired and did not have to go anywhere in the van. We also have 3 other vehicles that have 4 wheel drive. I finally took the van back on Feb 4th, and found it had a faulty valve stem which Boyd fixed. At that time they told me I needed the right lower ball joint replaced for $822. They did not mention that when I bought the tires. I went to buy the ball joint and was told that Boyd could not have done a front end alignment with a bad ball joint. I asked Boyd about it and they said that was correct, but acted like I ruined it after I got the alignment. That's when I went to check the mileage on the van. We usually put about 2500-3000 miles per year on our van. The speedometer said that we had put almost 600 miles on the van in less than 3 weeks while we had not been driving the van. They had listed the mileage as more than 500 miles less than we had started with. They said that was a typo, but was it? If they take 500 miles off of every customer's mileage, then if you have a problem with your tires, they will say that you have put 500 miles more on the tires than you actually did. They agreed to refund my money for the front end alignment, but it has been over 2 months and every time I call them it's the same story. The check will be coming from the main office. It should have been here in a week. It's been 8 weeks and no check. Make sure you che k your mileage before you buy tires and do not ask them for a front end alignment.
