We used to take our cars here on a regular basis for oil changes and other services until the drain plug fell out of our Subaru after three months of driving it. They denied covering the cost of a new engine because when we had it towed to another shop closer to home, after the mechanics there removed the original oil filter and discarded it. Even though our new mechanic took pictures of where the oil plug should have been and confirmed that it had fallen out, Goodyear would not cover their mistake. We ended up having to pay for the new motor ourselves out of pocket. Because of this, I will NEVER take any of my vehicles here again. I have had service here many times in the past 2 years. I can drop my car off and walk home, so it is close. Mike the service mgr is super nice and knowledgeable. They always do a great job, whether it be an oil change, new tires, tire repair/replacement, or new brakes. I am happy to continue as a customer at this location. read more

I went into Good Year in Clintonville as I had a nail hole in one of my tires. There was a mistake made and the integrity of my tire was compromised. The manager was incredibly customer-focused and took care of everything, They not only resolved the problem completely, but they also went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Today was my fourth trip to see Jeff and the crew at Goodyear on High St. It's never a good day when I need car repairs. They fit me in quickly, diagnosed the issue with my car, and got me back up and running! They gave me options, charged less than I was expecting, and treated me like a human being. Friendly. Bought 4 tires at a very reasonable price. Received the road hazard warranty as well. 2 years later one had a leak. Took it in and they easily honored the warranty and replaced the bad tire. I hate getting my oil changed. I'll admit, I'm a girl who knows absolutely nothing about my car... so I dread getting my oil changed because they always tell me I need the most expensive oil they have, when really- I'm sure the cheaper oil will do just fine. (Maybe I'm wrong? Again, I know nothing about cars). I was very happy with this location because 1) I called a few hours before to make an appointment during my lunch break and they had availability 2) I noticed they are open on Sundays- always helpful! 3) He did not try and tell me I needed a $45 oil change Also found a coupon in my Valpak so the oil change was under $20! Plus- if you have Goodyear tires- tire rotation is FREE! (I like that!) I'm giving them 4 stars only because he had said the appointment would take 45 minutes... and it was over an hour- I realize that is not a huge deal, but I was on my lunch break and only get an hour. Will definitely be coming back here- the staff was very friendly too! read more

Had a recent oil change here and had to pick up the car the next day. Car was left unlocked overnight and destroyed inside. Items all over and money stolen. Grease on the inside of driver door. Still had to pay for the oil change. Had good service at other locations in the past. read more

Preface: Since I was 16 - when I got my first car, my dad has been telling me things like, "take your boyfriend with you, never say yes to anything they tell you, always get a couple of quotes, don't let them rip you off..." and other dad-isms. Therefore, I am always wary about getting any work done on my vehicle. I come to this Goodyear location every time I need to get my car serviced. From easy oil changes, to alignments, tires - whatever. The staff and management here are so incredibly friendly and transparent. I've never experienced anything but great service. They always have coupons - this makes them competitive price-wise. The guys will tell you how much it's going to cost (or give you a close estimate). The other day, I took my car in for an alignment - it turns out there was an underlying problem and the man working gave me several different options (at different price points) and his recommendation. He rotated my tires for free - which helped the problem, and told me to take a look at the quote and the options and schedule an appointment when I decided. That was that. Zero pressure. Bonus points: You can schedule online AND Target is right nextdoor so you'll never be bored while you wait for your car. I would recommend this place to any one of my girlfriends! read more

These guys could care less about your car. Just very poor work quality. I was thankful they could get me in to the shop in very short notice but now I regret it. Wanted to get my problematic tires road force balanced. Now that is surely no fun to do, but that's why it cost me $120. That's said they did a terrible job. The balance was not very good and even though the paper says "lifetime balance" I'm hesitant to ever step foot in there again. They scraped the heck out of all my wheels. Not just the lug recesses, but all over the face of the rims!!?? The guy must have been drunk! Then to top it off, they zipped the lugs down as tight as their little impact gun could manage. Stopped in to discuss the check tire pressure alert on dash and the flat right rear tire. As I suspected it is due to the aluminum rims. Jeremy was really on top of it. Same advice as popular mechanics and the GM service bulletin. Knew exactly what was going on. Trusted him. So scheduled an appointment for Monday afternoon. But, wait it gets better. Show up for the appointment and they tell me that they will do a dunk test first on the formerly flat tire. Guess what? There is still a nail in the tire! They fix it and when I go to pay? Right! No charge! Just keep us in mind--the check pressure is due to the slowly leaking tire. Cheaper that new rims or a repair to them! Love this place! Thanks again guys! read more

In short, a visit to this shop resulted in 4 scratched rims, 4 separate visits (2 of which were to another goodyear location, that did a good job) another set of goodyear tires, and 4 sets of wheel weights. All i needed was a new set of tires, after installation i got on the highway to go to work and i had to get in the shoulder to keep the steering wheel from being ripped out of my hands. after turning around and taking back roads to the shop the manager insisted they had been balanced. I did not disagree... obviously they had done a crappy job of balancing them. after another 2 hours of waiting i was late for work. when i asked where my truck was they didn't know... apparently a technician had taken my truck on a test drive. They did not know when he would be back. They never asked to drive my vehicle several miles away, it would have been nice if they at least asked. The tires were decently balanced but still were not right. i was able to go to the downtown location and they were able to make things right. read more

The fuel pump in my wife's car went bad so we had it towed here. First, I gave them my number and told them to call ME when they figured out what was wrong. They called my wife. They told her she needed the new fuel pump and a whole bunch of other stuff, totaling up to $1300. Blue Book value on the car (an '04 Olds Alero) in its current condition is $2500. For the fuel pump with cleaning and filter at Goodyear its $890. No way am I spending that much on a car I intend to get rid of soon. Anyway, they tell my wife they can't get to it until tomorrow. She says ok then tells me about it. I think it sounds ridiculous so I call around. Going rate for a fuel pump with installation is $600 WITH a new fuel filter and cleaning. Goodyear wants to charge an extra $60 for the filter. Extra $100 for the cleaning. I tell them I'm bringing a tow truck and we're taking the car elsewhere because I'm going to save myself $300 by going somewhere else. But wait! they say. We're already halfway into it. We've already got the fuel tank off, they say. Excuse me? You said you couldn't even get to it until tomorrow. But she authorized the repairs and we got started right away, Doug (the manager) says. I hate being forced into paying these crooks but if they're really halfway in, what am I going to do? So I get him to agree to just put on the pump and nothing else which knocks the price down to around $675. Now, I don't believe they're really working on the car already, so I get in my car and drive over there. Not only are they actually working on it, they're done! This was maybe 25 minutes after I called. What a miracle that a car they couldn't get to until tomorrow is suddenly done in 25 minutes when I call and threaten to take it elsewhere. Still feel like I got ripped off on that fuel pump. Don't believe those reviews that say these guys are honest. They're anything but that. read more

This particular location has a special collection of gentlemen who know how to do their jobs and treat their customers the right way. Got a flat tire. It was leaking out the valve stem. I drove here on a donut and explained what happened and they took a look and just fixed the tire right away and put my tire back on my car. After making a few phone calls, we visited this center due to a flat tire. Matching replacement tire was going to be ordered for next day installation, but after asking if they could inspect flat tire for possible patching, we learned that they could, in fact, repair the tire. Got a new set of tires here recently and was very pleased with the service. Called ahead and got some quotes for various tires, which all matched the pricing on Goodyear's national web site. So far so good. Then I drove over and they were able to accommodate me on short notice. They estimated 2 hours plus or minus 30 minutes, so we headed to half price books across the street and then Target to kill some time with pointless shopping. Came back in 90 minutes and they had just finished -- sweet! They mentioned I could get a double rebate ($40 to $80) on the tires I just bought by signing up for a goodyear credit card...but it wasn't one of those high-pressure sales jobs. So I signed up for it (with full intentions of cancelling the card right after paying the balance.) All in all a good experience -- I dealt with Sales Manager Jon Stocker and he was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable about the tires he's selling. I'll probably head back to these guys for other non-major service needs too, since they treated me right on my first visit. read more

I would've given this location a better rating since my purchase of tires was good, but a couple of weeks after that, I went back to them because the brakes were making a strange noise. They pulled them apart, brought me back there and showed me where there was damage. They wanted to charge $1200 to fix my brakes! My wife's cousin is a former mechanic in the Marines who wanted to check them out for us. He verified that there was NOTHING wrong with them!! I can surmise that Goodyear did something while my tires were installed to make it look like the brakes were in bad shape, but that is conjecture only and I have no proof, so I won't make that claim. I will say that it's been over a year since that incident and my brakes are working fine!! It's situations like this that give auto repair businesses a bad name. Be very wary of using this location. I contacted Goodyear's HQ and they were no help. It seems that a rip off averted means to them that there was "no harm, no foul." Yeah...right! Noisy exhaust, took car in. Informed that I needed a complete exhaust replacement including a catalytic converter - total $1250. Previously fallen for the catalytic converter scam in the past at a muffler chain, so hesitated to approve the work order. Current car taken to independent muffler store. They put the car up and showed me that there was NOTHING wrong with exhaust except 1 rusted clamp. Charged me $50 to replace. Car sounds fine now. This was not a difference of opinion, this was an attempted ripoff. shameful. I will never ever return to Goodyear. Females should especially beware. read more

Don't know if Jay is a new manager but what a miscommunication we have here. My Fan Clutch went out this morning around 8 am. Stopped in Goodyear was greeted gave my information and they said it would be awhile. So since it was 30 below I couldn't walk home I went to Bob Evans to have breakfast. Finally walked back to Goodyear and said let me have my truck I will come back later. Oh no he's bringing it in now. Waited 2 hours and never did see anyone work on my truck. It just sat there with the hood open. Finally Jay told me what the problem was and said he was trying to find one. Oh I said I have an extended warranty. So he calls Penn Warranty and it's covered but they have to call back with an authorized number. They call back at 11am giving the go ahead. I didn't know any of this because I got a ride home at 10 am. Now it's 4 pm and no one has called me. I call Jay and he said the warranty company has not called back at all today, which was a lie. I make 10 phone calls back in forth to Goodyear and Penn. Penn says they did call Jay said they did not call. Jay says they need to pay first. Penn says we need a bill to know how much to pay. The last call I made the guy aaron at Goodyear said I think Jay is talking with Penn. I'll call you right back. Now its 5:00 and Penn is closed for the day and Goodyear says my truck is done but I can't have it until they get paid by Penn. Looks like I wait for goodyear to close and go pick up my truck with my other set of keys. read more

My old Goodyear closed, so I switched to this one, I believe I saw a AAA review/rating prior. I've been going to this Goodyear for maybe around 10 years and they have been reliable and honest, never trying to foist unneeded repairs on me and catching problems the dealer missed. Would recommend; I drive a Chevy 1500 4x4 and they have been able to fix most issues so far. read more
