This Valvoline put OLD oil in my car. I got my oil changed by them before I dropped my car off at the shop to get a minor repair fixed. I went straight from Valvoline to the auto shop. The auto shop told me my oil was beyond old. I called and complained to manager at Lusby Valvoline. He was very nice but told me he had video footage that my oil was changed. I believe they changed my oil but put old oil in my car because how do I go from Valvoline with new oil straight to auto shop less than 20 miles away and my oil was black as the midnight sky. I payed 109 dollars just to pay the auto shop I dropped my car off at to change the oil again. I will never be back to a Valvoline again. I have had nothing but bad experiences. I'd rather wait at a auto shop for 8+ hours to get my oil changed then take it this Valvoline ever again because I cannot trust they did what they were supposed to do. read more

Oil changes are something that I end up putting off because they are such a hassle. But my trip to Valvoline last week made it easy peasy! I was driving home from Starbucks with my one year old daughter and out of the corner of my eye noticed a sign for a 15 minute, stay in your car oil change so I pulled a U-Turn to see what it was all about. There was a car already in each of the two bays that were open so it was about a 15 minute wait to pull into an available one. Once I got in there, it was a quick and easy process. I selected my oil type and they got to work. They also checked some things over like the lights, fluids, and tire pressure. They made a few recommendations without putting the annoying hard sell on. Another 15 minutes later and we were good to go. It was nice to stay in the car the whole time and my daughter was happy as a clam with her bottle and toys in the back seat. I used a $12 off coupon I found on their website and have since noticed that Val-Pack has a $14 off and there is also a 15% off coupon for checking in on Yelp. I was emailed a $15 off coupon after the service which I'll pass along to my husband. I'll be back again for sure! read more

My husband brought our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan in on 2/26/21 for an oil change. As part of their service (and most quick oil change places), they top off your fluids and check your tire pressure. When they removed the front passenger tire valve cap, they snapped the entire valve stem off. My husband had words with Clinton Gross, the manager, who was belligerent about the whole thing. He literally told my husband "$h!t happens". Clinton and none of the techs had a clue how to fix it. Thankfully, my future son-in-law, a mechanic, used to work there. He didn't know Clinton, but he knew Clinton's boss. He had them put the car in the air (which they did WITH MY HUSBAND AND SON IN THE CAR, probably because they were avoiding my husband), he took the wheel down to a competitor, Granados, and put a temporary valve stem in. The valve stems in our van have these sensors in them to tell us when the air is low. My future SIL ordered the proper part through Granados, and I guess now we're going to have a fight on our hands about getting Valvoline to pay for the correct valve stem, which costs about $100, especially if Clinton is involved. He obviously knows nothing about customer service, if his solution was to tell my husband "$h!t happens". It was a horrible experience and though we've brought all our vehicles there in the past, I doubt we will in the future, at least as long as Mr. $h!t Happens is around. read more

Incompetent! If you want oil in your transmission, this is the place. "Oil change" is in the company name...yikes! They did flush my transmission and refill the oil, but only time will tell if there are issues. Good grief ! read more

I think they are great! don't change the way that you do things it's quite OK to tell someone when their battery is low or their lights are out or they need replacement parts and we also know that we don't have to buy them with you and we can go elsewhere but I appreciate that you're even notifying the vehicle owner while they're getting a oil change of all the other issues that they may have with their vehicles. Good friendly fast customer service, but don't let them service your tire pressure unless they can show you an accurate digital tire pressure gauge. Their analog method is 2-3 PSI off, and that's enough to adversely impact tire wear and vehicle performance. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Ever since purchasing my vehicle I have gotten my oil changed at Valvoline. Two days ago (4/23/2022) while having my car serviced I hear someone mention that my car may be leaking (this is after it had already been being worked on for about 10-15 minutes). Another few minutes go by and nobody says anything about a leak. Right before I'm about to pay I questioned what I had heard. THAT is when the employee decided to mention that there was a leak from my vehicle and I should, "go see a mechanic". Neither employee ever mentioned or even logged the fact that there was a leak. So, I leave to head home and about half-way to my destination I am forced to pull over on the side of the road due to the vehicle overheating. Upon examination I could visibly see a massive leak coming from my car. A leak that was not there prior to being serviced at Valvoline. A leak that the location caused and failed to mention, properly document or rectify. Valvoline has now failed to accept responsibility for their mistakes and for not following protocol. I will not be returning any service to Valvoline and will be pursuing this issue to the fullest extent. This is an error on behalf of the company as a whole. read more

I drove up around 5:30pm only to have a new front license plate put on. The manager walked out and greeted me, he told me they were closed but he insisted on putting my plate on for me. I am very frustrated. I don't typically leave bad reviews but I hope by doing this it prevents this happening to someone else. I brought my car in for an oil change and tire rotation not long ago. While I was there, it seems one of the technicians topped off my power steering fluid. I guess the technician was not aware or was careless because the power steering fluid he used was not the type for Hondas. In the days after getting my oil changed, the power steering pump in my car began malfunctioning. I brought it to my mechanic who let me know the color of the steering fluid in the reservoir had a red tint, which meant the wrong power steering fluid was put in my car. I had to have my power steering pump replaced. I spent $250 for something that was not broken until Valvoline tampered with it. I called the location to speak to someone. The technician I spoke to tried to convince me it was not their fault and someone else must have tampered with it or it was just a coincidence that it went out right after my oil change. My power steering pump was replaced recently before this incident. On top of this, when rotating my tires, they did not tighten my lug nuts enough and my tire almost came off going down the interstate. I called the store and was told the manager would call me back; however, I never received a phone call. I wouldn't suggest bringing your car here, especially a Honda. I do not think these technicians are properly trained, or maybe are just careless. read more

Getting the right amount and type of oil into a brand new car is always a priority of mine. That's why I bring my own stuff and watch you put it in. 3.9 qts is what's called for in my engine, pretty simple, but they handed me back the last quart at least 1/3 full. When I asked why he said it was because "it came out to 3.9 on the jug." The jug being the container that they poured my oil into before putting it in my engine. When I asked if the measurements on the back of oil quarts are off his response was "it might not match up with the jug." Well I'm sure as heck going to go with the oil quarts and not your giant "measuring cup." Why even use that in the first place? Now it makes sense on why two times before they handed me a quart with at least 1/4 left in it.... they were using their jug. Bummer for the all of the people who trust their techs and don't pay attention to anything. Now I have to find somewhere else to go unfortunately. Had been here over a dozen times and never really had a problem. read more

Went to Valvoline in Lusby to get the oil changed in a Dodge diesel dually HD 3500. Wasn't expecting anything special and had my fingers crossed that at best I would get the oil changed and a new filter without someone spilling oil on the engine or forgetting to replace the plug. I must say I was so pleasantly surprised at the service I received. The employees worked well as a team and the service I received was outstanding. They were diligently thorough throughout the entire process. Checked to make sure all of my lights worked ( one was out that I could have been given a ticket for), tire pressure was where it should be, asked me if I wanted to keep any of the old parts that were replaced, explained everything they did and why. I felt extremely confident leaving there knowing everything and more was done and at a fair price - prior to going there I priced out purchasing the oil and filter and having my husband do it. The customer service provided was priceless. Sadly in this day and age customer service typically is poor. Not today and not at this location. I don't know who owns this location but if it is a franchise or company owned they need to keep the team of employees there. They work together well as a team and individually, they all were outstanding. Thank you for your service and I will definitely be returning next time I need an oil change. read more
