Told me my serpentine belt was frayed and needed immediate attention. Also said my battery had one cell dead and I was at risk of my car not starting at any moment. Took it to my mechanic and the battery health was 90% and 100% and they said the serpentine belt was in great condition. Necessary visit, but overall a pleasant experience. I had a coupon. I called ahead and made sure that they would be able to service my car with the recommended oil. There were 3 cars ahead of me, but it went quick. The guys working we're very kind. Explained what they were doing. Told me what I could do, but didn't overly push to try to upsell me. I stopped at Valvoline just this afternoon for an oil change and to have a burnt out headlight changed in my 2016 VW GTI. Pulled into the bay, popped the hood, and was told they wouldn't be able to change the oil today because of the plug that the Volkswagen used last oil change and that they wouldn't be able to change the headlight because it looked like the entire front bumper would have to come off to change it. Fine, no big deal at all, I headed over to the VW dealership in Bedford for the services, where I was told that they couldn't open the hood that had just been popped 20 minutes prior! Now they are tearing my car apart trying to get into the engine bay and I am going to be stuck with the bill as I have no proof I was even at Valvoline, as there was never any service done and no receipt given. Further more, they were incorrect about the headlight. BEWARE. read more

This is Earl had a terrible experience with Vaboline in Macedonia got my oil changed and by the end of the week the drain plug leaked and around the filter leaked . I was so pissed till just said I will never go back and advised my friends to steer clear of you guys my 2018 Kia Sorento was almost a disaster had I not seen the leak . I was in a total pinch and had to go here. Let's face it, it's rip-off city...but if you're pleasant, direct and stick to your guns you can still get out of here with only a $30 oil change. Sadly, most WalMarts are now on par with these places, charging $30+ for a basic oil change. If you go in here not conned by the sales pitch for the various ancillary services you'll be fine. Amazing, this location's customer service rep that checks you in, was very knowledgeable about cars. I was impressed. I wonder if he was an automotive student that landed here, or worked in a real shop. I'd throw him some zingers and he answered every question correctly. Even at WalMart you'd get the confused stares for some very simple automotive questions. One thing I've found here is that everything is negotiable. They try to ding you with a $21 filter, you balk at the price and they'll instantly offer it to you for $11 (note, you can find most of those filters at an avg auto parts store for $8-12). Same negotiation went on for oils. Act shocked at their $63 charge for synthetic and they'll instantly knock $9...don't worry, unless you plan on driving 600,000 miles in your current car, you're fine with the $30 conventional. read more

Oil change and filter (nothing else) cost $120 which was shocking to me but manager said price was set by Corporate and they had no control. The oil change/filter took nearly 30 -45 minutes as they had trouble putting splash guard back in place. The splash guard came loose 3,000 miles latter in two places and when I took it back they said no responsibility because too much time had elapsed. Incompetent employees with a bad attitude, overpriced even if synthetic oil and a extra quart. $120 for a oil change and filter is a rip off. read more

I had my oil changed here and next day I hear something dragging and look under my vehicle. A technician broke my skid plate and zip tied it to my exhaust. The heat from the exhaust melted the zip tie. Spoke with the manager and he ordered me a new skid plate. Yesterday I went in for another oil change and to have the new skid plate installed. When I got home, I decided to look under the vehicle at the new skid plate... and wouldn't you guess it. The corner was torn and held up by a zip tie. The broke the corner of a new skid plate, drilled a hole in it, and zip tied it (at least not to my exhaust. And to think I paid for both oil changes. (Full transparency, I was given a $20 discount on the second oil change and what I thought was a new skid plate) read more

So this is my first time using Valvoline for an oil change. I got right in and everyone was friendly and all about getting the job done. Usually, at these drive through oil change places they try to get as much money out of you as possible but it was really refreshing to tell them what you want and not have them trying to up-sell you on whatever. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts was because I was a bit shocked at the $80 bill. Even with full synthetic it shouldn't have been that much. I guess you pay to be in and out quickly and I was in and out in a total of about 15 minutes or so. I will probably look for a place a little bit cheaper next time but other than price I would go back here again. Thanks guys! read more

Second time in for an oil change, service was great! Got in quickly and out just as fast. Needed to replace air filters but that was expected as it had been quite a while. While the prices on filters was a bit higher, was able to use a coupon for the oil change. Their honesty and great service is well worth every penny! read more

Poor service. They failed to put 6 of the heat shield screws in after an oil change. I drove to Columbus, Ohio to find the right side of the heat shield was hanging (dragging on the ground). When questioned, they responded, "we did not put all the screws back in." When the discovered their error-the manager should have called me and requested I bring my vehicle back so they could install the rest of the screws. It would have been very costly to have replaced the heatshield if it had been damaged beyond use. The staff is irresponsible and non-considerate of their customers! I will never take my vehicle back to the facility in Macedonia! read more

I will never do business at this location again (or possibly any Valvoline, for that matter). They are supposed to be oil change experts but they don't know how to add oil to a 2014 Dodge Charger Hemi without filling it too fast causing it to overflow leaving softball sized oil spots on my driveway and garage floor and allowing the oil to blow back into the air box (which is difficult to sop the oil up and would surely have ruined the air filter had I not upgraded to a K & N filter). This has happened to me twice now (shame on me for going back). They know all about the potential issue if they fill a Hemi engine too fast and yet it has happened 2 out of 3 times (the 2nd visit I instructed them ahead of time to fill it slowly so the problem was avoided). When I returned to verify that the oil spots on my garage floor were not from a loose oil filter or oil plug the staff didn't really go out of their way to apologize for the inconvenience of my having to stop back in and were very neutral towards me being a satisfied customer so I will take my business elsewhere. read more
