Do not come here. They incorrectly tried to remove the pin and cracked my oil pan. I couldn't drive it out of there because it was drained of oil. There was no issue with my car before taking it in and I had to get a tow out of there. Poorly trained staff do not come here. read more

I AM LITERALLY LIVID RIGHT NOW AND WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THIS JOKE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN!!! I went in for a "simple" oil change and these absolute CLOWNS managed to completely ruin my car after making me sit there for TWO HOURS in the cold while they did absolutely nothing!!! They STRIPPED my drain plug and sent me off the lot with oil literally GUSHING out onto the street--I didn't even make it three miles before my engine started smoking and the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree because they were too incompetent to even tighten the filter!!! The ONLY reason I'm not giving zero stars is because the staff sang a "goodbye" song as I drove away, which was actually kind of nice, BUT THAT DOESN'T FIX THE FACT THAT MY ENGINE IS COMPLETELY BLOWN!!! To top it all off, the manager had the nerve to catch an attitude with ME when I called to demand a refund for the tow truck--save yourself the massive repair bill and the headache because these people have ZERO clue what they are doing and they will WRECK your vehicle without a second thought!!!! DO NOT GO TO VALVOLINE MONROE!!!! I went for an oil change yesterday. Pulled into the bay and the man stated, "same oil as last time, 0W20 Full synthetic?" I confirmed that was accurate. They drained my oil, charged me $106.33 then let me know they did not have any 0W20, and that they had to give me synthetic blend because no one was going to go to the store and get the 0W20 my car takes. Then they proceeded to charge me $66.78 for the oil that I now have to go elsewhere to get replaced and pay for!! I did call the number on the back of the invoice and spoke with someone, letting them know the situation. They said they would be in contact with me, but so far they have not called or emailed me. To top it off, the invoice say they added windshield washer fluid, they did not, the invoice says they checked my tire pressure, they did not. read more

Valvoline is getting so expensive for a basic oil change running $70 to $100 these days depending on the type of oil your car uses. Even with the coupon their prices are high. My local service station charges $35 using Mobile One oil, but is not as convenient having to make an appointment. Valvoline also over fills my tires by as much as 10 lbs so I always tell them not to touch the tires. Their extra services such as wipers and filters are 3x the price from auto stores, so it is wise to stock up on these supplies yourself. read more

I think they may be under new management because I always had good experiences here until today. 2 of the 3 employees that spoke to me were really rude. They told me I had a transmission fluid leak and while I was asking questions about the situation another employee working on another vehicle rudely interrupted saying "sir, you don't need to ask anymore questions, just take it to a mechanic" They had done a transmission flush 2 months previously. I suppose they can do maintenance on your vehicle, but you can't ask them about the work. read more

UPDATE APRIL 2019 So my experience here two oil changes ago was FANTASTIC and due to a pending road trip I sent my Wife in. Don't know whom the Service Manager was but you don't sell tons of CRAP over priced services to a woman who can rebuild a motor in our garage. You pushed a full array of fluid changes and she clearly told you she needed an oil change and would like new wiper blades. OK I agree the cabin filter was in need of change and we gave you that work. You never LISTENED to your customer who clearly knows more about her vehicle than you do. If you want to scam woman coming into your place be prepared for the response and LOW ratings on YELP. Thanks for showing your true colors and my business will now be taken elsewhere. Don't trust the Map Directions as they will not get you here! But, NOT COMING HERE IS A MISTAKE! Fast, Efficient and well worth the cost! In and out in minutes! Why is customer service so easy yet so infrequent. These guys are consistently good. They explain what they're doing notify you of discounts and don't over sell you. This is the most "un fairfield county" kind of place. read more

Total scam. Went in for oil change and immediately said we needed an engine flush. Said no thank you and was told the oil change wouldn't help because the oil was so bad. Said ok then no oil change we will just take the car back to dealer if it's going to be a big deal. Was told oops too late the oil has already been dropped. Argued with manager who continued to backpedal saying things like "well you don't really need the engine flush it's just a service people don't know about and is helpful" when it was not presented that way by the tech. Asked manager who was above him and he said the owner. We said we wanted to contact the owner and he said "we can't give out that information and he's never here". Finally we came to an agreement to pay for the oil change but not the flush. When the tech went to reset the service reminder he reset for 3k miles on synthetic oil. Definitely a place that tries to sell you more than you need. read more

I've been to different Valvoline locations around Fairfield County , & most of them are just so dam pushy with the up - selling that it gets annoying. I went here this morning, & I must say that the guy who handled my car was the most honest, respectful Valvoline tech that I have ever dealt with. He did not try to push any pointless services on me, & he even gave me a $10 credit for being "patient" with them (there were only 2 techs on staff). I did not ask for this credit, and I certainly did not mind waiting 30 minutes for the oil change/small replacements & fill ups that they did, but I really do appreciate the great customer service that he demonstrated! read more
