I was told it would be a little more than regular, but I wasn't expecting that much more. It cost me $75.20. I was told that Walmart does it for around $30.00 and they use the same oil. They replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter and I was charged $381 and some change. I picked it up Thursday night and it cut off twice on the way to Easley while I was driving it. I called them on Friday and spoke to the mechanic. He reminded me again that it was a guessing game. I said did you drive the vehicle after you fixed it? He said know that they had let it run in the garage for a while and it was sputtering there... He didn't even drive it. If he had driven it he would have known it was not fixed. I had to drive it to work like this on Friday because I had no other way to work and had Miss so much time already. The car left me sitting in the road until I could get it cranked and then cut off four more times on me on the way from Greenville to Easley. Very frustrating! Very disappointed! They seemed like really nice people. I am not happy with this situation at all. The mechanic told me I could call back the Monday after the 4th and make another appointment to bring it back in and they would look and see what else was wrong.

The one trip for an oil change led to two more trips with different 'issues' where I spent a few thousand dollars there in total. On the last trip, they replaced my transmission cooler hoses. The hose was not tightened, therefore, causing ALL of my transmission fluid to leak out. I park on grass, so I never saw the fluid leaking out until it was too late. The mechanic failed to make adequate repairs to my vehicle resulting in my transmission to lock up. I had to have my car towed home because I was driving one day and it just locked up on me. When I called to explain to them it was their fault they just kept saying "I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do?" They would not compensate me or even offer to fix it for free. I was not offered a rental car or any help whatsoever from them. I asked for a copy of their shop liability insurance and was not provided this information. Not to mention all of this happened over a 2 months time span. My jeep has run fine for 6 years and a month after I took it to them, I am without a car. After I got it out of the shop the last time, they called me to assure me everything was fine and stated no safety features were messed up. They have manipulated me, used me, and taken my service for granted. Again, do not use Pickens Auto Repair. Please take your money elsewhere!!!
