Didn't replace my splash guard properly, waited weeks on the new part and installed it myself. 4 screws.

During my most recent visit to the shop, my vehicle needed several things and it was discovered that my rear rotors needed replacing as well. They called to communicate the price change before proceeding. Never had an issue.

I am begging you NOT to use these scammers. I went in for a simple oil change, long story short,…read moreand came out needing a new transmission. The one trip for an oil change led to two more trips with different 'issues' where I spent a few thousand dollars there in total. On the last trip, they replaced my transmission cooler hoses. The hose was not tightened, therefore, causing ALL of my transmission fluid to leak out. I park on grass, so I never saw the fluid leaking out until it was too late. The mechanic failed to make adequate repairs to my vehicle resulting in my transmission to lock up. I had to have my car towed home because I was driving one day and it just locked up on me. When I called to explain to them it was their fault they just kept saying "I'm sorry, but what do you want me to do?" They would not compensate me or even offer to fix it for free. I was not offered a rental car or any help whatsoever from them. I asked for a copy of their shop liability insurance and was not provided this information. Not to mention all of this happened over a 2 months time span. My jeep has run fine for 6 years and a month after I took it to them, I am without a car. After I got it out of the shop the last time, they called me to assure me everything was fine and stated no safety features were messed up. They have manipulated me, used me, and taken my service for granted. Again, do not use Pickens Auto Repair. Please take your money elsewhere!!!

Fraudulent Diagnosis, Refused to Make It Right, Then Had the Audacity to Defame My Business…read more Let me save every owner-operator reading this some time and money. Root's Truck Tire & Repair charged me $302.43 for a computer diagnostic and one hour of labor and sent me down the road after 30 min in their shop. The ABS light was back on before I made it 30 minutes from their shop. When I called back to report the light had returned and asked them to stand behind their work, they refused. Wouldn't even discuss making it right over the phone. Just kept my money. I had to continue to a TA, where a real technician properly diagnosed and completed the actual repair costing me an additional $900 that I never should have had to spend. That's the true cost of Root's "service." I disputed the charge with my credit card company and submitted both receipts -- Root's invoice and the TA repair order as evidence. The documentation spoke for itself: Root's charged me for a repair, the light came back on 30 minutes later, and a legitimate shop had to come behind them and fix what they never actually fixed. My card company reviewed both receipts and sided with me without hesitation. That's not a technicality. That's a finding that Root's did not deliver what they were paid to do. What did Root's do in response? Instead of owning their failure, they posted my business name and invoice in a Facebook group trying to paint me as someone who didn't pay. Let that sink in. They publicly defamed my company rather than acknowledge they collected $302 to spend 30 minutes on my truck, misdiagnosed a trailer ABS fault, refused to help when I called back, and then got exposed when the receipts were laid side by side. I'm not alone either. Read the reviews carefully and the pattern is clear mechanics who don't have the right tools, jobs that don't get finished, and customers left holding the bag. That's not a one-off. That's how they operate. Hook up a scanner, clear the codes, collect the money, and hope you're too far down the road to prove they did nothing. For owner-operators: your time is money, your equipment is your livelihood, and your safety depends on repairs being done right. Trailer ABS is not a minor issue it's a federal safety requirement. A shop that clears codes, calls it fixed, and then refuses to engage when the light comes back 30 minutes later is a danger to you and everyone sharing the road with you. Root's -- instead of blasting your failed customers in Facebook groups, try fixing the truck the first time, That's literally the job. Also, tell your employees to stop complaining to your customers about how your kid rides the clock all day and does nothing. Verified customer. Invoice #000175. October 24, 2025.
