Amazed with my experience here. I got 2 flat tires from an unfortunate pothole not far from Monro Auto. I showed up right at opening with my car on the way being towed and Tracey at the front desk was extremely nice and understanding of my situation. Tracey and the tire service person Mike took initiative and went beyond their duty to help resolve my tire issue at a reasonable price and good quality, overall saving me time so I could make it to work that day. Very friendly and quality work on my brakes and state inspection. The staff was extremely nice and went beyond the call of duty.

Took my car here for an emergency repair. When told it would take a few hours to fix they subsequently proceeded to order the wrong part, which then caused them to take multiple days to get the correct part. Which would be understandable, however once the part arrived I had to call on multiple occasions only to be told they had no mechanic scheduled that day despite them saying it would be done. Once they finally got around to fixing it, they forgot to screw the engine cover back on the car, and then said there were never screws there to begin with, and that I must have lost them. Finally throughout the entire process no updates were given, and I had to call at least 10 times over the course of 5 days to get any kind of update, and every call was either "let me find your paperwork", or "we don't have a mechanic" And then no call back. Worst experience mechanic shop ever, and I would highly suggest avoiding this shop at all costs. read more

found out that Monroe robbed me of my TPS sensors(4) because the old sensors were still on and one was broken and fell off and was rolling around in the tire which made the TPS sensor warning light come on plus tire pressure was off, 40 in the front and 35 in the back and the other couldn't be measured because it was now broken. Mavis found it while replacing the valve stem that was cracked now and they didn't tell me anything cause they broke it, my appointment was at 10:45 am for 4 tires, 4 TPS sensors, wheel alignment, and tire balancing. the guy who did the work was there when I arrived and he was talking to this lady who also worked there, they talked for almost a hour, I think it was a little past an hour but I don't want to exaggerate. when he finished talking he got to work, took the tires off, and talked for 40 min. , rolled tires back out, talked for 10 min., mounted tires, it was almost 2 p.m. went straight to Mavis, they balanced the tires because Monroe machine was broken, then went to Mister Tire for balancing. They were fast and low priced because Monroe had the highest alignment price ($159) in the city, and Mavis was $100 with a warranty. So don't go to Monroe on Arimingo Ave in Philadelphia, they will rob your stuff, and charge you for labor and the item and you paid for nothing also beware of the labor charges by the hour cause you definitely overpay due to talking read more

Lazy and untrustworthy. I've used them a few times for small stuff, like oil changes but even then they get lazy and rarely do the "free" tire rotation. Locally, Mellor's in Brighton Heights and Ryan's over in McKees Rocks are a much better bet. read more

I made an appt. to get my winter snow tires changed back to my summer tires, which they put on in Dec. I started into the office when I got there and was stopped by the service guy, who wanted to know what I was there for, I told him I had an appt. to get my tires changed and he said they didn't do that. I explained I called and made the appt., I had them put on in Dec. Then he said he couldn't get to it for hours because he was the only one there, then began to rant on about the office clerk doing this all the time. I went into the office and the clerk there said they were very behind because of 1 service person and politely asked if I could reschedule since I had no ride. Sunday @1pm, Same attendant who now only had one compressor, again ranting about he didn't do this, they don't it here. I told him I was there before, and they charged me $298.87 to put them on. He looked it up and, again it'll be hours. I said forget it, I'll get someone else to do it. All of the sudden he said, I'm putting you in. I said you can take me out, I'm leaving. They told me in Dec. that I had enough tread for one more season on my summer tires and I couldn't help but think he wanted me to buy new tires. I left, furious! read more

Called yesterday. They sent someone to pick up the tires I needed and put on 4 tires, did an alignment, inspection, and replaced a piece of door molding I knocked off de-snowing my car. I have been using this Monroe for years with nothing but great experiences. Just this past week I dropped my car off for a scheduled state inspection and oil change- unfortunately I needed 2 new front tires. They looked into which tires I had purchased in the past and price matched this as their prices had gone up. Then today I realized I had a nail in one of my tires on my way into work, frantically I stopped back in and they helped me right away and did it on the house! 5 stars! read more

Brought my vehicle in because of a flat tire (gotta love Pittsburgh roads). I called the night before to see if they made appointments, and they do, but were booked solid for the day. They told me to bring it down early and they'd be able to get a new tire on my car quickly. I arrived when they opened and they immediately started helping. They were willing to work with my vehicle warranty program, which covered the cost of a new tire, and in a matter of 10-15 minutes had the car ready to go. Very friendly and professional staff and quick to get customers in and out. If you're looking for a service center in the Bellevue area, check these guys out. I'll definitely be back. read more

I typically go there to get oil changes and I have bought tires there too. This last time I went to get an inspection the mechanic said I needed rotors, tires, and breaks. He also stated that one of my brakes was cracked and if I continue to ride on the breaks the heat would cause it to fall apart. I took my car to get a second opinion and that mechanic stated he did not see any of the problems that Monro found. I will never take my car back to this establishment they tried to charge me over $800 to do the work that was not needed. The mechanic lied to my face and tried to take advantage of me that is unacceptable. read more

These guys will take care of you!!!!! I had a flat tire after working a 12 hour shift. I went to 4 or 5 different places trying to get it fixed. Now, this was early in the morning and all places had at least a 4-5 hour wait time!!! I went to Monro, and, as busy as they were, the guy said, give us a few minutes. The point is, they fit me in when no one else would, and even fixed my window that was off the track. These guys will take care of you, and they also have good music to listen to while you wait in the waiting room. read more

It was my first time there and I went in thinking I just need routine brake replacements but was told I needed twice as much done. They worked with me to figure out a plan and get my situation fixed. I've gone to this location several times before with no problems, but after my experience today, I will not be returning. I made an appointment on Monday to get my oil changed today (Wednesday). When I called, I was put on hold for several minutes - and by hold, I mean that whoever answered the phone said, "Hold on," left the phone off the hook in the garage (I know because I could hear the machinery) and then proceeded to chit chat with whoever was with him for ten minutes before taking my information. Wasn't too pleased about that, but I let it go. But then today when I arrived, the manager (according to my receipt, Jerry Malone), informed me that there was no record of my appointment. He agreed to have the mechanics change my car's oil anyway since I did call to make an appointment and apparently whoever answered the phone had been too incompetent to process it correctly. However, the mechanics didn't look my car until after they looked at the car of another customer, who had arrived after me but apparently her appointment was on the record, which definitely made me annoyed - whatever happened to first come first serve? Then, when my car was finished and I'd paid, I had to wait for a truck full of tires to be unloaded before the mechanics could get my car out of the garage and I could leave. I then informed Mr. Malone that I would not be returning to his store in the future. He said to me, "But this wasn't MY fault." Mr. Malone was right - it wasn't his fault, and if the only incident had been the truck, I wouldn't have cared. But it was the cherry on top of all of the other problems that I had encountered today. I believe that this store is poorly managed and, again, I will not be returning. Pittsburgh has so many other garages that will take their customers more seriously - no need for me to return here! read more

A friend used this Monro location to get an older car inspected. He spent nearly $1000 for repairs and was told that as soon as he got the windshield replaced, the sticker would be put on the car. He did that. Afterward, the manager refused to put the sticker on the car, citing more work would need to be done! They argued, in front of the entire front office. The next day, my friend's phone started getting nasty messages with racial slurs. Some kind of auto dialer was doing it constantly. He had to change the number. Conincidence? You decide. Me, I'd NEVER take a car there for anything! read more
