We brought our Dodge Diesel in for an oil change on 7/17/25. While changing the oil filter we saw sparks twice. Turns out our alternator got shorted out and shortly after leaving Valvoline our truck died and we were stranded 1 1/2 hours from home. We had to have it towed home, but an alternator and repair. We are out money for a tow, and repair and Valvoline has yet to make us whole or contact us. Dawson Cook the manager at this shop has not once contacted us and we have called Valvoline & submitted all receipts and have repeatedly been told a check will be sent, yet with each call we make we get the same story - that Dawson Cook hasn't submitted his part of the paperwork. Do not give this place your business, if anything goes wrong you cannot speak to anyone that actually deals with the problem you are just sent "further up the chain" which gets you nowhere. After sitting in my car line for 35 minutes with the same 5 cars waiting ahead of me, the 2 cars in the service bays had not moved. The coupon for a $25 discount coupon received yesterday for service to my other car was not enough savings to justify spending my Friday waiting in line for a synthetic oil change. One of the employees came to the waiting cars and informed us they needed to shuffle the waiting cars and asked us all to back up. I asked what was the delay? He rudely answered "we are performing services here!" With no idea how long I was going to have to wait, I left and plan to not return here. I am going to the local dealership with appointments for both of my cars service and repair needs. Bad attitude and poor service displayed today. I expected better from Valvoline. read more

EDIT: DOWNGRADED RATING. After 2 weeks I started to notice large oil puddles under my rig. After close inspection I noticed the technician here did not replace the little O-Ring gasket on the oil drain plug. Would have lost all my oil had I not crawled under there myself to look at it. Did it up myself and lost some oil in the process. I paid this place to avoid crawling under my rig at all - which I had to do anyway. The price was right, but the service wasn't what it seemed to be. Another instance of you get what you pay for. 50 bucks for an oil change UNLESS you find a coupon online like I did for 50% off. They may also offer to email you a 15.00 off coupon - either way. What a deal... I can't buy oil and filter and do it myself for less than that. The crew leader was great with the communication - I explained I did most of the fluids besides oil already myself... as well as tire pressure, wiper blades, and air filter. This saved us all time, and I was in and out quickly for a few cents over 25 bucks. I was informed about a leak in a seal, which I already was aware of, but they were helpful to point it out as well. These people ARE paying attention. One thing I don't like about places like this is they have a tendency to upsell services like a transmission flush... or coolant flush. Sometimes, the necessity of these services may be in question. I experienced NONE of that here. Thank you for that! At one point, I asked the shift leader about the oil filter on the jeep next to me as it appeared to be installed in the top of the engine instead of under it. He actually got the filter and brought it over to show me how it works. When I was done, this same guy proceeded to wipe fingerprints off my old vehicle... treating all vehicles the same is a nice touch. Thank you for this experience. I had gotten gas at the station next door and the attendant brushed me off before I could ask if he would check the air in my tires. On a whim I drove over to this place and figured that although I didn't really need one, I could get an oil change and hopefully get my air checked before I headed back to Washington State. I showed the guy the oil change reminder sticker and said that it was probably too early to get it changed but that I needed my air checked. He told me to pull into Bay 2 and then after we determined that I didn't need an oil change yet, he filled my tires with air. He didn't charge me at all and although I was worried that I would be inconveniencing whomever pulled up behind me, he just directed me back out and I was able to turn my car around to leave. I really, really appreciated their service and the next time I am due for an oil change and am in the area I will definitely use this location. read more

I am in town from California and a friend of mine recommended this place to have them look at my air conditioning. They were so polite, they explained everything before they touched my car and made me feel confident in what they were doing. He was able to fix the problem and was offering no charge because something just fell off and in turn I went ahead and had the piece replaced because I felt this was the best place to be t have it done! I had a lot of work done at this location as I was road tripping through. It was suggested I have my radiator flushed, transmission flushed and rear differential fluid replaced. This, along with the oil change and donation cost over $400. That was in November. By January my radiator blew, my transmission blew and now I learn today that one of the bolts on my rear differential were broken off during the last service (this location) I waited to review because the team seemed so kind and helpful but not I fear I was suckered. My radiator cost $1300 to replace (and a day lost) my transmission has now taken 3 weeks total as I've been stranded numerous times all across the country, it cost me $6000 not counting hotel stays, AAA towing I've now lost, being stranded over the holidays etc and this week I spent 4 days total with a shop trying to remedy this broken bolt. I can't express the stress this has caused me on top of the financial loss. I'm beside myself. read more

Had to wait over 30 mins while the guy tried to upsell things to the car in front of us, oil change was fast after we actually got in, but having to wait around forever and switch sides after we were already waiting in line for 30 mins was a bit annoying. The also don't allow coupon stacking, so at most $7 off. I noticed another review mentioning getting $15 off and even when we had the coupons to do so (and already have successfully at other nearby valvoline locations )they didn't allow us to use more than one, even when they had different codes for use and wasn't stated anywhere that they weren't combinable. read more

Great service, staff is awesome, but the only complaint I have is since switching to valvoline from Oil Can Henrys, they got rid of top ups out front. Service was fast for a standard oil change - about 15 minutes - I went around 8:30AM and no one was in line. They were friendly and didn't push after I said no to the upsell. The only thing I didn't like was that my engine air filter was somewhat dirty, and they were going to replace it without asking me. If I hadn't been paying attention, they would have replaced it and charged me extra for a service I could easily do at home. I would come back again for my next oil change. read more

Ever since these guys changed to Valvoline from Oil Can Henry's, they've lost control of what REAL customer service is all about. We've come here three times for an oil change and today was number four, and sadly our LAST time coming here. One of the service tech's named Larry, was so abrupt and rude when I asked him a question, that I took his name down to report him to the owners. Jimmy, the young man actually handling our oil change was so new that he didn't know how to remove and replace the oil filter in our Mazda SUV, and didn't have anyone helping or training him! What usually takes about 20 minutes for a simple oil change, took over half an hour because they didn't know what they were doing! I've tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt because I recognize there's always "growing pains" when a change of ownership happens and all the employees change with it, but today was it for us. So long Valvoline, I can go to the dealer and get an oil change for less than the $80 you charged me, and I get a car wash to go with it! Get a grip on your customer service or you won't last long on the Oregon coast. read more
