We took a 2014 Audi A4 to their St Helens location (all owned by the same person) for a routine oil change on 3/6/2026, and what should have been simple turned into a costly repair. Instead of doing the oil change properly, their technician chose to vacuum the oil out because removing the undercarriage cover would "take too long." We relied on their expertise and trusted they knew what they were doing. The car was driven a short distance after the service and seemed fine. The next morning, however, it started misfiring immediately and was clearly unsafe to drive. The vehicle remained parked until it could be evaluated, and was eventually towed to a certified mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed a missing camshaft seal and advised that this type of failure is consistent with improper oil extraction using suction equipment and would not occur during a standard oil change. We paid $613.79 in repairs, plus the original $97.95 oil change. We made multiple attempts to contact the shop (calls and email). Eventually, their claims manager called on 3/25/2026 and denied the claim solely because they didn't get to inspect the vehicle first ignoring the fact that the car was unsafe to drive and that we didn't even know they caused the issue until after a professional diagnosis and repair. At this point, it's not just about the damage, it's about accountability. Cutting corners for convenience caused real damage, and they've refused to take responsibility. We are now pursuing this through small claims court. Use caution. An oil change shouldn't result in engine damage. read more

They get you in and out quickly and don't try to oversell you things you don't need...while informing you of what you do. Always good service! A little expensive but so is everything else now. I love this place. After we noticed that our check engine light was on and also noticed the smell of burning oil, we pulled into this Fast Lube in order to check out the car. Before we had been parked for 10 seconds, a friendly attendant came up to our car and asked us if we needed anything. I told him I just had to take a look at the engine because we smelled burning oil and our check engine light went on. The attendant asked if we needed a towel, and said he could run a diagnostic for us for free. A few minutes later, after I had the hood open, he came back to see if we needed anything. I had spotted some oil on the engine, and I pointed at out, and with my encyclopedic knowledge of cars duly noted, "It's leaking there." The attendant said, "What's this, a 2004? My coworker has the same car. He had the same problem." He then proceeded to tell us how to get it fixed, about how much it would cost, told us we would be safe to drive home, and didn't charge us a thing. I wanted to hug the guy. I pulled into the bay as I was asked to. I took a call from a customer of mine who let me know she needed to reschedule because her husband passed away last night. As I'm taking this call a Fast Lube employee asked for the Milage off my car. Obviously I was busy with this call and I put my finger up to say "One second, I'm busy". He could clearly see I was on the phone and he could hear me talking to someone...he stood there for maybe 10 seconds then scoffed, walked away and started yelling across the bays about how I just ignored him. I was upset he was doing this but said nothing because I was finishing the call I was on and I figured he was just having a bad morning. Keep in mind this call I took maybe lasted 3-4 minutes. Then a few minutes later, after I was finished with my call, he started saying "I don't like being ignored" "he's on the phone and he's ignoring me so I can't get his information" across the bays again. So I got out of my car and asked if there was any information I could give him and let him know I was self employed and had to take that call. He said he was busy doing something else and acted like I was inconveniencing him. So I told him to quit complaining. Then another employee got my info, worked on my car and helped me at the register. This other employee I could tell wasn't a fan of me either because of the way I told his coworker to quit complaining. I was very polite when I did it but it was firm. When I told the first employee to quit complaining, that I was self employed and needed to take that call he was silent because he knew he made a mistake. Unfortunately he wasn't man enough to apologize. I've gone to this place multiple times with multiple vehicles and this is a first. Super unprofessional and ghetto vibe this time. read more

I went for an oil change and just pulled in. My check engine light had come on that morning. I never mentioned it to the team. However, when they had finished they had run a check on it and turned off the warning light. They said it was probably the gas cap and if the light came back on probably a hose leak. They never charged me for this and the light stayed off. Great service without asking. read more

I needed an oil change while in Astoria so I looked online for where other folks have had good experiences. Fast Lube had some positive reviews a hotel front desk rep referred them so I gave them a try. When they say Fast they mean Fast. They're first-come-first-served and I arrived at a perfect time to get right in. They did my oil change and inspection, came to tell me what they found, and replaced my air filter all before I had a chance to finish 1 muffin and a cup of coffee. Whoa! Seriously, was I even there 15 minutes? The waiting room is clean, there's plenty of seating, they offer sodas and an espresso bar, prices are fair, and the service is friendly. And FAST. The other day my check engine light came on so I took it to autozone and I had a ton of error codes on that could mean my car was royally screwed. This company is in business to make money, at any and all cost regardless the damage to your car they create. An oil change was done at this location, that lead to oil all over my engine. The results were having to go to a mechanic asking me over $600 that same day while being stranded on the highway with a child. No ownership of the company of what they have done. Because I had to have the car towed to a mechanic shop versus them who could not fix it anyways they said they would not cover the costs of repair because they didn't see it even though it was documented by the mechanic what happened. The manager Milo refuses to give out the owners name poor business manners when really it's public information. What do they have to hide? This is a very ridiculous situation I would not recommend going there for anything. read more

When you call and offer to give them all the details about your vehicle yet they still refuse to tell you how much an oil change will be, this is not a company you want to give your business to. it's one thing if the customer doesn't know that much about their own car but it's another thing if you have all the details about your car in front of you and they tell you it would be anywhere between $30 and $80 and won't take two minutes to just look it up on their computer for the cost for your particular vehicle. That is a ridiculously huge price range to quote a customer, and the guy could have taken 30 seconds to look it up but didn't seem interested so we are taking our business elsewhere. read more

We took both cars here over the course of several years. We drove back and forth from Seattle a lot, so the cars were in pretty regularly. Never had a problem. The prices are reasonable, the service is fast and friendly, the waiting area is clean and has coffee for me and toys for my toddler. I'm new to the area so I was apprehensive about trying a new place to get my oil changed. All of the positive reviews ring true. I came 30 min before close. They were extremely personable, were very upfront about the charges. While changing my oil, they checked over everything and brought in my engine filter, along with a new one and asked me if I wanted to replace it. So helpful! They also checked my transmission, added air to my tires and asked how my windshield wipers were. They are very straightforward, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place!! read more

Amazed by the refreshing atmosphere of this auto service station! Not only did the gentlemen offer high quality oil change service, but they also took excellent care to take care of me as a customer. Being an out of town guest traveling through Astoria in dire need of an oil change while on vacation, Fast Lube could have taken advantage of me by charging outlandish prices or offering many unnecessary "ad-ons" like filters, etc.... They did only what we asked, cleaned our windows, and offered us free drinks, arcade games, and book trading while we waited. These people are slow, not fast. They took forever, i sat and watched a guy smoke 3 cigarettes and 2 others play on there phone and talk about personal matters instead of work. I waited nearly 2 hours for them to change my oil and check my tires. They may be good most of the time, but this experience was terrible, and the employees dont seem to care. These guys changed my oil and recommended a belt gets changed for 60$ . I laughed and said no since I knew better than get ripped off by add one. 1 week later the belt came off ending up costing around 300$ to replace . These guys are honest and do good work. The joke was on me though ! read more

As most people in astoria know, I have been an ASE mechanic for years. After my back injury I've been unable to do my own work. I trust Noone to touch my cars until now. John the store manager was very friendly and hands on. Travis on the other hand is a sold mechanic with skills beyond most at a fast lube style company.
