We were having an amazing trip then my transmission went out in my Chevy Tahoe. We called AAA to tow us to the nearest auto repair shop. Doc's had the best reviews (now I know why) so I chose them. They were closed that day so I called them the next business day to let them know my vehicle was there and my dilemma. As a single woman traveling I was nervous I was going to be taken advantage of by a shady repair man 200 miles away from home. To my pleasant surprise the shop is run by women! Cheryl the front desk person and Samantha the mechanic really took care of me. They made me understand what was happening with my vehicle and treated me more than fair. I honestly cannot recommend them enough. If I could give them more stars I would because they really went above and beyond!! Thank you for your amazing customer service!

Was in Seaside and accidently hit a big branch with my under carriage. Thought I had done some…read moremajor damage as my vehicle vibrated noticeably and made some awful noises as I drove. Looked for the closest auto shop and found Doc's. Arrived and found they had multiple projects going around their yard. .Asked if they could put my car on a lift and evaluate the damage. Thought I would be tied up for hours. A lift opened up quickly and they got my car off the ground so they could review. They were very clear that they could not drop everything else to work on my car but that they could do a quick inspection and allow me to plan accordingly. As it turns out there was no damage, but a hunk of the tree had lodged in my undercarriage which was making all the commotion. They yanked it out which stopped all the noise and vibration. They charged me for what I think was not enough for interrupting their schedule. My only regret is that their shop is not in Portland. I would use them exclusively just because they are decent folks and were willing help when i really needed it.

Just to let you know about the prices here, they are outrageous! Labor is $190/hr. When I asked for an estimate, I was told they couldn't tell me....Just for a heads up, this service is around $225 elsewhere. You decide if you have a lot of money to waste or not.

We took a 2014 Audi A4 to their St Helens location (all owned by the same person) for a routine oil…read morechange on 3/6/2026, and what should have been simple turned into a costly repair. Instead of doing the oil change properly, their technician chose to vacuum the oil out because removing the undercarriage cover would "take too long." We relied on their expertise and trusted they knew what they were doing. The car was driven a short distance after the service and seemed fine. The next morning, however, it started misfiring immediately and was clearly unsafe to drive. The vehicle remained parked until it could be evaluated, and was eventually towed to a certified mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed a missing camshaft seal and advised that this type of failure is consistent with improper oil extraction using suction equipment and would not occur during a standard oil change. We paid $613.79 in repairs, plus the original $97.95 oil change. We made multiple attempts to contact the shop (calls and email). Eventually, their claims manager called on 3/25/2026 and denied the claim solely because they didn't get to inspect the vehicle first ignoring the fact that the car was unsafe to drive and that we didn't even know they caused the issue until after a professional diagnosis and repair. At this point, it's not just about the damage, it's about accountability. Cutting corners for convenience caused real damage, and they've refused to take responsibility. We are now pursuing this through small claims court. Use caution. An oil change shouldn't result in engine damage.
