Surprised to see the negative reviews because I had a great experience here this morning. Cassie was incredibly helpful and informative without being pushy. It's always really comforting to see female employees as well. I waited a bit but for a Saturday morning I cannot complain. For an oil change, filter change and wiper replacement it took about 30 minutes, and I'd much rather it take longer to be thorough than to just value the speed of service. The price was much less than I have been paying at jiffy lube over the years and I really have zero complaints. Highly recommend! read more

I went to St John to Valvoline for an oil change. when i got there i asked if they could also change my manual trans fluid and they said they did not have the kia fluid. they changed the oil and i immediately went to kia to get manual trans fluid changed. kia changed the trans fluid and told me my oil pan was leaking and it would be over $800 dollars to fix. i told them i could not afford it i went back to Valvoline and they tried twice to fix it and stated they had on the third try. I went home and put down cardboard on drive and found it leaking. Imade a claim with Valvoline and returned to Kia to get it fixed. they had to order oil pan and as such i was without a car stranded in Indiana. i finally got a friend to come3 and get me. now without a car to shop for food get medicine. i returned and by now i am without a car for 5 days and Valvoline agrees to pay but the dealer has to send invoice, however it will take 7 to 10 days to be approved by their finance department. i haggle with kia but they won't release the car without payment. so i pay. i chat on Valvoline chat line and they continue to obfuscate i call i rant i rave i chat and finally they call me and say ok we will mail a check, two mgrs on the phone. days go by no check. i call and reiterate my rants and rave and they call again this time saying they will refund my credit card. still it will 7 to 10 days. the inconvenience aside i could have last my engine in the process because by the time thew engine light comes on your car is toast. to add this dilemma i am a disabled veteran that caused me much difficulty. there was no offer of a ride a rental and i felt they just wanted me to give up. in 62 years of drving i have never had anyone strip my oil pan plug needing a replacement. My vehicle was damaged and they did not refund my oil change. After multiple calls to customer "care" and this branch's manager I never received a refund or any other compensation other than them patching the tire they punctured with a stray oil pan plug. Steer very clear of this location. I should have pulled away after I saw the line and it took a half hour to get into a service bay. Very dissatisfied with this dealer ship! I buy a brand new silverado 2024. To come to find out oil underneath my truck everywhere So I bring it back They said it'll only take a couple hours. I wait in the waiting Room 3 hours later. They said, well, it's gonna take 1.5 - 2 days. I needed the truck for work. Thats why I bought this truck I told them finally after arguing. They give me a loner car barely enough for my fat body can fit into I could not take my tools with me. Come to find out. It took 3 and a 1/2 days later, I lost tons of money. And now I have to go back again, cuz, they disconnected, or something they did to my Towing lights, now they want me to sit there for 4 and a 1/2 hours. read more

Pulled in line at 5:59pm. Waited over 45 minutes with cars being serviced in front of us. Woman walks out at 6:47pm when we're next in line and says we're about to be closed. Having trouble with this oil change have to tow the car & still working on the atlas in bay 2. Don't think we will have time for you today. Come back tomorrow I'm here 11am-7pm. Really...you could have relayed that customer service 30 minutes ago. Definitely worth the extra drive to Schererville to go Grimmers. Lessons learned don't support this local business. read more

All new staff, so slow. I've honestly never seen people move so slow, snack breaks during my oil change, everyone just standing around. Not convenient at all and nobody seems to know what they're doing. So many other options locally, I'd skip and go somewhere else!! read more

Why would you fill tires like this during a full service oil change? I only noticed when my suspension compressor pump kept running every few seconds due to the pressures being out of whack. Now that I've taken air out, it's back to normal. I guess I need to find another place to go now that it's changed over to Valvoline owned. HORRIBLE!!! WOULDN'T RECOMMENED THIS DUMP TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!! After sending my daughter there and $70 later, they sent her on her way without screwing the undercarriage on The next day, we noticed a large piece hanging on the driveway. After calling and speaking to the manager "J", we were told that they would take care of it. When my daughter got there, they told her she had to wait. I then called and spoke with them and also requested a refund for our inconvenience with THEIR error!!! She proceeded to tell me they would work with her. My daughter called me and said they refused to give her a refund and that she wasn't welcome back!!!! After telling me they word take care of the problem. I called their main customer service to complain and wanted to let everyone out there know, don't waste your time and money with this hot mess of an oil change place in St. John, Indiana. The lack of experience and professionalism is unlike anything I have experienced before! They also made sure to tell the person behind my daughter, they would get $25 off. That was real necessary to state in front of my daughter after refusing to give her money off or a refund. Izayiah and Drew were also part of this nightmare!!!!!!!! I visited this location last week and had an oil change done on my 2023 Chevy equinox. It took about 35 minutes of waiting in line with 2 cars ahead of me, which isn't that bad. The thing is they kept coming out and having people back up to rearrange the two lines outside both of their bay doors. This is a problem because it's just an accident waiting to happen. Second problem was that they spilled oil all over my engine and had to do a "wash down" that still left oil on my engine. Third problem is that they removed my air filter to show me it was still new, put it back in and didn't screw the cover back down so about 4 days later it threw a p0171 code and was dumping too much fuel into the engine trying to make up for all the extra air making it's way into the engine. Fourth problem, they couldn't figure out how much oil my suv needed and I had to tell them. That should have been my first clue to tell them to just let me go. I went to this place for years under the old owner before it was valvoline and never had any problems. They were fast and reliable. I've been to valvoline twice and been let down both times. I'm finding a new oil change place. Pathetic. read more

The St. John location has just lost my business. I waited for nearly 45 minutes and then when I was in the bay and they started working they informed me that they were out of standard oil for my car. I would have to pay $74 for their next level. They came out and scanned my vehicle when I arrived and made no mention that they were out of standard oil. I even had to correct the tech and manager who stated my trans was sealed when it is clearly not. Avoid this location. read more

Went here with no appointment. After a few minute wait, the guy came out and scanned my sticker. I was informed it would be about another six minutes before I was in. This was about the wait. Once I was in, I didn't have to get out of the car. I was given options on what oil I wanted them to put in. I was informed about their other services. I requested for them to not check the air filter as I work on my own cars and would be changing it myself anyway, and they did as requested. I was asked what tire pressure as I have non stock tires and they did as requested. I was out of there in about fifteen minutes, and was happy with the tech I got that day. If I am ever in the area again and need an "emergency" oil change, I will definitely return here. read more
