I left messages at a few repair shops in the area and Jim the owner of Grays automotive was the only one to return my call Tuesday morning. He agreed to get me in so I could get back on the road. He found that it was both front wheel barrings that were bad. He was able to find another one in another town and talked Auto Zone to deliver in less than an hour. I ended up spending over $4k because after diagnoses from a diesel shop near Portland found contaminated fuel, bad and two sensors. These guys don't know jack about diesels or they are scammers.

When they did get us in a few days later, they charged $140 with no apology or discount even after I asked for a discount. I did find out later the vehicle we bought was cheaper somewhere else. I should have done more research, but they also weren't willing to budge on the price or trade in value.
