Kids can achieve this by touring 10 local parks, snapping a fun action photo and sharing their experiences. Kids were encouraged to explore neighborhood parks located in Canton, through end of August, to earn a customized 2-inch pin for each of the mentioned locations visited. My son was interested in this and so we explored the local parks this summer. They developed this program to encourage families to tour all the local parks, including some that they may never have visited before, but especially to have fun and earn a special keepsake while doing it. We were sending our park pictures to Canton recreation specialist Laura Mortier. She was very friendly and encouraging. My son will be waiting to read her mails. She sends a printed copy of the picture, along with her comments and the badge for the parks visited. Upon visiting all the parks my son received the official "Canton Junior Park Pro" badge along with a certificate and special commemorative pin for completing the collection. He was overwhelmed and thoroughly enjoyed every park visit.
