If I could give zero stars, I would…read more On July 05, our car was ticketed by the City of Vancouver at 4:55 PM. By the time we returned to our car around 5:10 PM, it was already gone. (They cleary were waiting nearby) After searching nearby streets, we saw a Busters Towing truck parked a block away, actively strapping our vehicle onto the truck. It was obvious they had intentionally moved away from the original location to avoid being confronted by the car owner -- if they had stayed where the car was ticketed, we would've caught them before they could tow it. We approached the driver right away and requested to have the car released. We even offered to pay any fees immediately. The driver was extremely rude, refused to release the car, and threatened to call the police, claiming that the police would "support him" and that we'd end up paying more because of the delay -- saying the tow was charged by time. But when we later looked at the tow bill, there was no time-based charge whatsoever. Just another lie to scare us into backing off. We told him we had two small children, both requiring car seats, and towing our car would leave us stranded without any way to get home safely. He did not care. The truck drove off with our family's vehicle, leaving us to figure out how to get to the city impound lot without car seats -- which, by the way, no taxi would take us without. We ended up walking more than an hour with two young kids just to retrieve our car. This company is nothing short of a predatory operation. They exist solely to exploit people and families in distress. They showed zero compassion, zero flexibility, and zero professionalism. Just a cold-blooded money grab. We will be filing a formal complaint to the City of Vancouver, and we strongly encourage anyone who's experienced similar treatment to do the same. This is not what Canada should represent -- a place known for fairness and empathy. Busters Towing is a stain on that image.
